Items that are buy it now valued at over a thousand dollars and you can find them on Amazon for under 30 or 40 dollars. Recently I've purchased some jewlery from Ubid. These item are very disappointing. The genuine diamond and ruby pendant was so small that I couldn't even see the diamonds thru a 10X loop. The ruby was supposed to be 1.1Ctw and was so small I will have a hard time finding a chain for it. The representative photos are also a lot better then the jewlery you receive. The ring was also a joke. With a buy it now value of 699.00 and with such small diamonds (if there really were diamonds in the ring) and such a small ruby I doubt that the real value is more like 20.00. I am waiting on other Items I've purchased. Some with GLI certification. I'll reserve my final opinion after I receive those. As my credit card has already been charged it better be soon. I finally received a couple of certified items and they are totally different. The ring was a sapphire and diamond set in stirling silver. It was very nice as you could actually see the stones. Also a pair of .075ct diamond studs arrived that were also certified. That small of a diamond is hard to see but it was obvious they were there and did have sparkle. I have a few more things that are on their way and it will be interesting to see what they are like. The final conclusion: uBid has many suppliers that sell merchandise (Jewlery)on their site. I have found that the items that come with a Certificate are more reliable in consistancy but have also found that two of the same item are not in all cases identical. You have to know what you are bidding on and if you do you can get excellent buys at uBid. I'm just about done with my buying binge and the last 7 out of 8 items were Certified. I'm happy with those. I'm also satisfied with uBid's customer service.
