"Ordered a stuffed animal pillow for a bithday gift and paid extra to have FedEx (2-4 Day Shipping) on SEPT 17.

It is now SEPT 25, and I have JUST recieved an email saying they have just processed my order and that when it gets sent, they will send me another email with tracking number.

This is a good example of a website online that is doing bad business.

I paid by paypal immediatly after making the order. I recieved the paypay confirm immediatly (always done on behalf from paypal), but NOTHING from this company. Now a week later they are sending it out? IF I even ever get it??? THIS IS THE WORST TIME AND BAD SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD ORDING FROM A COMPANY ONLINE.

Oh, want to know what they said to me when I called them? They will refund 8.00 and downgrade from FEDEX to USPS which now I will be waiting even longer now. SHAME ON THEM and ME. NO MORE TOYSNJOYS for me and my family for sure."

"I htought I was having some serious bad luck with this company. But then I read the reviews on Yelp and this site. I ordered a game from them in JULY! and have still not received the game. It's September. I've treid to give them the benifit of the doubt, since I work in retail. I've sent them numerous emails on the subject. And all I've received back is an automated response email. Maybe they're going through business difficulties. I give them till 17 September and then I'll file with PayPal. :~("

"WARNING - AVOID!!!!

All the way back in December (15th) 2009 I ordered 3 items as Christmas presents. I used priority mail so it would come in time and it did just barely...but an item was missing. I received an e-mail dated 12/20.2009 from Toys N Joys AFTER my order was shipped telling me that my order was on the way but that an item was out of stock and that I could back-order it. They did NOT tell me which item...and gave me options #1 and options #3...? see below...
"Aloha,

Thanks for your order. We have shipped you a partial order already and it is on it's way to you.
However this item above is on SOLD OUT.
OPTION#1
Would you care to replace this for another item? If so please respond to this email and let us know what you want!
OPTION#3
Would you like to cancel your back order?"

I replied and months later...nothing.
I e-mailed and received confirmation that my e-mail had been received and they would get back to me in 24-72 hours. No reply. I e-mailed several more times with the same result before filing a report with the BBB.
There was no response to the first notice, but after the second notice Toys n Joys replied that they had "issued a credit" and e-mailed me. I had paid by credit card and there was no credit on my account. They sent the credit via paypal to my e-mail address. But I didn't HAVE an active paypal account. I e-mailed Toys n Joys directly to tell them that it had been sent in error. Automated response, no reply. I re-opened the BBB case and replied there. I received a reply from them that they had sent a refund via paypal to my e-mail and gave me the transaction ID, telling me to contact Paypal if there was a problem. CLEARLY they had not read or understood what I said. I replied AGAIN to them re-iterating that I did not have a paypal account at the e-mail address I had contacted them from but giving them one that they could send it to that was active. No reply. I sent the same information through the BBB.
They replied with the SAME EXACT reply from a month ago. "We understand the concerns of the consumer..."
And with that, the BBB gave up and closed the case saying that a conclusion could not be reached.
I was finally able to transfer the amount to an active paypal but this went on for 2 months of a dispute and 6 months of ignoring me until I contacted the BBB.

Another warning to add to consumers - MANY many items on their website are Hong Kong bootlegs or fakes, handmade in Hong Kong factories, sold for a few dollars, and imported here for sale at literally 7 times that. $2 fake Sailor Moon plush. Sold for $14.95.
Please don't order from them unless you literally cannot find an item anywhere else. Double check to make sure it's authentic before buying, and prepare for the worst..."

"Well I ordered a wallscroll from toysnjoys.com and recieved it a couple of weeeks later. After reading the other reviews about the site I was a little worried, but in the end they came through with my item. My only advice is to actually contact them directly before placing an actual order to make sure they have the item you want instock because sometimes they don't keep their site update on what they have backordered. My only complaintant is that the shipping took a little longer than I expected, but in the end I still got my item that I ordered."

"I ordered 2 games on June 5th and was told the games were on backorder and asked for a refund. After emailing back and forth for 20 days they only gave me a refund for 1 game plus the shipping, they still owe me $29.95. I just received an email on July 14th telling me that the $29.95 was refunded to my PayPal account which is false and I have proof. This company should not be in business. Why don't you just give people back their hard earned money you bunch of scammers."

"I would never order from this store again, i really dont know how there still in business. i ordered 3 items in july of 09' 2 of them were "backordered" this place is famuos for that word so i wait the 2 weeks and start calling they tell me it could be up to 6 months befor they get what i ordered back in the store, BY THE WAY they make you pay BEFOR they send your items not after they have been sent like most places, anyways so i decide to wait it was stuff i really wanted, well its now april 2010 and i have decided im not waiting any more they say there going to give me my money back but well have to wait and see i hear that this is the part that can be difficult"

"Absolutely Terrible! Everything about this site! I wouldn't recommend this piece of shit store to anyone, I placed an order on jan/28/2010, today is april/7/2010 I dont have the item I ordered or a refund. If you dont wanna be riped off then I would highly advise you stay away from this site."

"Ok, I ordered a pretty expensive figure set from ToysnJoys and I have to say their service was pretty damn good. I ordered an Alfrex Lone Wolf Cub set. At first I thought they had it in stock so I ordered it. It cost around $500 and I couldn't find one anywhere else. It turned out that they did not have one in stock but they were able to obtain one from their warehouse in Japan. It took less than 3 weeks to get the figure from Japan to Hawaii and then on top my front porch. After I had paid I had noticed all the bad reviews so I immediately got scared and called asking for a refund. Alex reassured me so I waited. He answered every email and phone call and even called me once to let me know what was going on. I'm pretty happy to have my Lone Wolf and Cub and would do business with ToysnJoys in the future! If you order an impossible to find collectable from them just be patient and know that they are working hard to get it to you. Even if they don't have it. In the end if they can't find it I'm sure you'll get a refund."

"After reading all the reviews i risked it and ordered. After about a week i got an email saying it was proscessed so far so good. I end up calling them about a week later asking if it has shipped they said it would ship the next day and i would get 3 out of 8 of my items. so i was like ok. I wait a little bit then i call them back double checking if it was shipped they said yes and it would take a about 2 weeks. didint get anything. So i call them back and ask if it has shipped and they said 7/8 items of your order was shipped so i go ok. The next day i recieve a email saying it was shipped and all and saying my backordered items and 2 items were on backorder. so i wait about 11 business days and i recieve my first 6 items. I will update this when i get my other 2. Now if your in a rush to get something i wouldnt recommend toysnjoys.com if your willing to wait about a month and a half you can. IF not just order of ebay.

Update: April 11,2010

Anyways i actually got my 2 items during march break but i totally forgot about this review.
Anyways toynsjoys has cool stuff but go with ebay :)) (If you want it faster)"
