"I have been a Tire Rack customer for over 20 years. I've always been impressed with the overall service. However, I have recently had a very poor experience with TR customer service overall, in attempting to get a rebate honored by Bridgestone Tires. Basically, BT refuses to acknowledge ever receiving my rebate info, and TR customer service basically washes their hands of it. After wasting hours on this situation, I am eating the rebate -- but taking a local installer's advice and working for a decent price through them directly. ayes, I know -- rebates are one of the most recognized scams in retailing -- but I expected more help from TR after putting 4 orders through in 3 months. Never again."
"I guess Tire Rack is going downhill. The site is still good and selection and prices are quite good too. But I was amazed how little they care about the customer. I've ordered tires on September 12 (it was back ordered but they said ETA is end of month and suggested to order anyway) - it's now first week of November. And I still do not have the tires... I understand there is an issue with supplier but the main problem is how they treat me as a customer - no updates whatsoever and then I contact CS (Brandon) they just say - no ETA. Replies are one line and I feel like they just want me to cancel my order - which I'll do - I need tires for the winter - not in spring."
"I am in love with Tire Rack. I've seen their ads for years, no decades, in Car & Driver and Motor Trend, but this is my first order. Not only did they have the best price on the hard-to-find Corvette tires I was looking for, but the entire purchase and shipment process FAR exceeded my expectations. Not only were the tires in my possession in less time than they even estimated, but it was also very easy to set up the installation as per their instructions. I will NEVER buy tires from anybody else again!"

"I ordered a set of four tires from Tire Rack which I had to return because they sold and shipped the wrong tires. Unlike other merchants (Sears, Sams Club, Discount Tire, etc.) which also provide an online method to search for compatible tires for a specific car, Tire Rack will list LOWER rated tires matching your car. All other sites will only show tires with ratings equal to or better than the manufacturer's minimum. The minimum load/speed rating for my car is 94V, but they still displayed several 93V tires. At the time of the order, I didn't know the difference. I thought they would display only tires which met or exceeded the manufacturer's mimimum. However, Tire Rack will display lower rated tires, and if you call them they will connect you to a "technician" who will try to convince you that the lower rated tire is OKAY. I decided not to give in to the technician's BS (who obviously is just another sales person), and returned the tires. I lost $109 in shipping. I will never order from them again.
For all those customers who think Tire Rack has a better selection of tires - BEWARE! They appear to have more choices because they (unlike Discount Tire, Sears, Sams Club, etc.) will ALSO display lower rated tires for your car. This makes it look like they have more choices. However, most of these choices represent tires which have ratings lower than your manufacturer's minimum. Don't get conned into installing lower rated tires on your car. This can be a serious safety risk."

"I own an Acura NSX which requires special-sized tires. I spoke with Damon at Tire Rack. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. He spent a great deal of time with me making sure I had the best ratio front to back to match my car's handling and my custom over-sized wheels. Yesterday, I placed an order for tires at 6pm EDT. Within five minutes I had an email confirming my order. One hour later, I received a second email saying my tires had been shipped. At 1pm today, my tires were delivered. You just can't beat 19 hours from order to delivery in another state! On top of that, they had the best price on the tires I wanted."
"Tire return agreement. This order was for a purchase of replacement tires because the first tires I purchased were not satisfactory. I called to complain and the cust. srvc. rep told me that I was inside the window for satisfaction returns ( 45 days ) and could choose another tire. But they would only pay for the installation of the new tires or the shipping charges for the returned tires, my choice. I chose the shipping charges, since the intallation charges were 150.00 for first installation ( using their recommended installer), I figured shipping would be less. I shipped the first tires back and waited. After 2 weeks I received notice of credit for returned tires, but nothing on the installation credit. I called cust. srvc. and was told, now that I received credit for the tires they would go ahead and release the credit of the installation. Great, I thought. No sooner did I hang up the phone when the cust. svc. rep. called me back to tell me that tire rack would only pay for $80.00 of the $150.00 invoice. With no explanation other than thats what it said on the file. Granted, a $70.00 difference isn't a lot but why sour an otherwise very good experience. This was my first on line tire purchase. Why not tell me this difference when offering the choice of install or shipping charges. Deceptive aggreement ? I think so. B.K. in Palm Harbor "
"I ordered 4 tires for my mini-van. A week later, I got an e-mail saying that they pushed back the shipping date by 3 weeks. When the day came that the order was to be shipped (and I had not received any info from the company), I e-mailed the company asking if they shipped them. They told me that the shipping date was pushed back another 3 weeks because of tire availability and that they had similar tires that I could order instead. I've dealt with this dishonest bait-and-switch racket from other sites on the internet. I would avoid wasting your time by placing an order with Tire Rack.
Another interesting note: If you go to their website and look at career opportunities, they are looking to hire someone to write favorable content on social media sites and blog posts as a way to advertise."

"Great service, great customer support, fast shipping, this is the 3rd time Ive ordered tires from them and every time its been a great experience, I can not ever imagine going to a dealership or a tire shop and trying to get a premium set of tires for the same amount. Thanks again tire rack"
"I have to admit I am not totally satisfied with tirerack.com. I've ordered multiple sets of tires from this website and they always ship the tires very quickly when they have the items in stock. Shipping is pretty reasonable. However, my most recent order met with resistance as I was purchasing a full set of tires and wheels. I had hoped that this would include free or maybe even discounted shipping. It didn't...ok not a big deal. But the wheels I had been looking at were listed as closeout and they weren't discounted (I know because I'd been eyeing them for a good year). This isn't a common thing. If you're going to list something at closeout, you should give some sort of incentive to the customer.
The second problem is that my tires were listed as backordered the day I bought them. I was given a date of May 7th for the ship date and it's now been 5 weeks since I ordered the tires. I'm not sure if this is Continental's fault or tire rack's fault. Most likely both. Tire rack should have placed an order for something that had such an overwhelming demand maybe a month before this happened.
So after receiving an email that it would be an estimated 6-8 more weeks of waiting for the tire company to ship my tires, I canceled the order.
Their customer service personnel could use some better training as well. You're given a single customer service person for your order the whole way through. My person seemed cold, unapologetic and uncaring about my situation from the beginning and I'd be hard pressed to shop here again even if I was saving a little money. "
"Wow! I ordered 4 tires and received them 3 days later in Montreal, Canada. I am very pleased with there excellent service and web site.
Tire Rack called me to make sure I was ordering the right tires and corrected the tire width that I had wrongly selected for my wheel size.
Knowing the exact final cost of the order with taxes and duty fees really helped me be confident with my purchase.
The only improvement I would suggest is to have the possibility to pick up the tires locally at a UPS station because I am not very comfortable with the fact that they left the tires next to my front porch.
Overall a great experience! Thanks Tire Rack!"
