"What a great on-line company! I needed an extra battery for my Canon DSLR and they had the exact manufacture's battery. After minutes of placing my order on line, I received a very helpful phone call from a service representative letting me know this battery was back-ordered from Canon. But, thanks to the great advice this person gave me on the phone, I was able to get a more powerful & better battery for only a few dollars more and received it right away! When you order anything on-line these days, it's sure great to know there are companies like "TheStoreOnLine" taking good professional care of it's customers, both on-line and in-person over the phone. "I was shopping for a Sony Camera external flash. I usually make purchases with Amazon and have always been pleased with those purchases. However while comparing prices for the flash I wanted (Sony HVL-F43am) I found Theestoreonline was $90 cheaper on this flash than everywhere else including Amazon ($239 vs $329). One of the rare times I found Amazon to be beaten by that much money. Too good to be true right? Read on....Theestoreonline website showed the Sony flash to be 'in stock' and promised to have it to me in 3-5 business days, so I ordered it. Less than 24 hours later they called me. The very pleasant woman on the other line went on to tell me that the flash I ordered was on back-order from Sony. However, I was in luck; she told me that Sigma makes a equal or better flash that they sell for $399 and it was in stock (of course) and they were going to let me have it for $259 due to my inconvenience. Ahhh... the ole 'Bait and Switch' I thought. She told me to check their website to see the Sigma was there for $399, to which I did confirm. I guess she was expecting me to say 'wow $140 discount, send me one now!'. When I hem-hawed a little she quickly said what if she could get it to me for the $239 I was going to pay for the Sony? After some minor high pressure sales tactics, I told her I would call them back. A little further checking on the web revealed that this Sigma flash be had for $225 at many other places including Amazon. I'm sure I could have talked them down to the $225 but I didn't even try due to these poor business practices. I called them back and canceled my order.$329 was a little out of my budget for the Sony so I ended up buying the Sigma anyway.........from Amazon. BTW - I just checked theestoreonline for this Sony flash. It still shows it to be 'in stock'. Wonder how long it will stay like that????UPDATE: I didn't even read any of the other customer reviews on this site before I posted this. I began to wonder how this company had above average stars. So I began to read the other reviews. Wow! Now that I've read a bunch, I literally see one review after another saying how they got a call back and that their item was 'back ordered'. And how they got a lot better deal on a better item from such great customer service. These reviews verified my thoughts that this company is dishonest and they were trying to scam me. Amazingly enough, a lot of these folks even gave them 5 out 5 stars for getting the 'bait and switch' handed to them. Unbelievable!!!! "

"I WISH, I WISH, I WISH I had seen these reviews before placing my order today. Classic bait and switch. I am even fascinated with all the 5 star reviews where practically every one of them mention their original order being "out of stock" or "delayed." I also find it interesting that not one of these reviewers, positive or negative, received the item that they actually ordered. That is a curious pattern. I am currently trying to cancel my order, so far via two emails, with only the latest response that the order has already been processed. Now I wait to see what inferior product they send so I can waste even more money shipping it back. And beware when you do return the item, they charge you a 15% restocking fee. So the money you save on the "great price" advertised on their website is spent in return shipping and restocking fees. It's better to just go into a local store and buy the item. It would end up cheaper. After two requests, I finally received an updated order statement to prove I am actually getting the switched item. Right now I'm so mad I'll only accept a refund. My review will be updated depending on how this matter is resolved."
"They didnt have the Nikon flash sb700 in stock and said it would take 4 weeks to get. The website said it was is stock, but they called immediately and offered a price reduction on a Sigma I could get right away. It came yesterday(3 days after ordering). We will see if it is indeed comparable. Salesperson was very knowledgeable and friendly. I hope he was right. Very satisfied so far."
"I wish I would have read the reviews. The same thing happened to me - I placed the order and they called me later that day. (The person who called told our secretary that she had emailed me and that I need to check my email, like she's been waiting forever to hear back from me. I didn't get an email.) I called them back - yeah, the item was on back order and the site said in stock. It would be 3-4 weeks before I could get that item. They offered an upgrade which would cost 5x as much, but they could give me a 60% discount. At the moment, I bought their pitch and I bought the updgrade. It was shipped today. It better be as good. "

They called me immediately after they realized the battery I purchased wasn't going to be available for a long time and gave me other options to choose from! "Original item purchased was backordered however website did not indicate that nor was I notified. This was a time sensitive purchase and after no shipping notification I called in and was informed the item was backordered. The salesperson offered options and we agreed on a replacement item and the salesperson offered to ship it 3-day air for the inconvenience. 4 business days later the item ships standard ground and I wont be receiving the item till 10/7....11 business days after placing the original order!!! Just a very poor customer service experience and I don't believe I will be shopping there again. I Update - Customer service contacted and shipping has been expedited and shipping costs refunded. Appreciate the prompt attention!!Final Update - no expedited shipping, shipping costs not refunded, incomplete order received after all of the above!"
"Overall I'm happy with my experience.The items (camera batteries) turned out to be on backorder, and customer service only called me on the day when I was expecting delivery (and I don't know why the website said they were in stock if they weren't).The customer service rep offered a replacement which he said was better, though more expensive, but with better warranty, too. He offered a courtesy price reduction. The new order arrived in time.They are charged up and ready to use. We'll see how they perform."

With one of my first two orders I had ordered a particular item by mistake, but returning it was very easy and my credit card was promptly refunded. Plus their prices are consistently fair, and in some cases are the lowest I could find on the web when calculating the complete cost of the item (or items) plus shipping cost.
