"Two weeks with no communication and did not hear from them until I said I was filling a complaint with the BBB. Never shipped product or let me know there was a hold up. Ended up cancelling my order because they couldn't tell me when they could get it out. "

"ordered tv on the 8th of feburary for 1375 they told me it would be delivered on the 26th, tv never showed up, I called them and the tv never even shipped, no call nothing to inform there would be a delay, because of this I told them I wanted to cancel they said ok and they would refund my card in 5 to 7 days, Its been two WEEK
S!! and they still havent credited my card, I called several times no answer, they only answer the sales line not the customer service, they have told me twice they would refund my card and they never do, I have disputed the charge but they tell me that could take up to 90 days, I hate these pepole and they should never be allowed to do business again, a word of warning, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEPOLE THEY WILL JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY, THEY CARE NOTHING ABOUT YOU (the customer)..."

"I wish I'd known about TV Authority before I placed my order in January. I'm now initiating the dispute process through my credit card company. The few times I was actually able to reach someone (after somewhere around 100 attempts) I got reassurances, but no action. They basically ignore me now that they've got my money. They were able, of course, to charge my credit card last month, but I've still got no t.v. after nearly 2 months. I've never had such a terrible experience with on-line ordering. I got this company's information through Consumer Reports, and I'm contacting them to warn them about TV Authority. I only hope that someone reads this before they make the mistake of ordering from this sham of a company."

"Placed order received delivery date of 2/6-2/8. Merchant was not to bill prior to shipping. Merchant billed on 1/25. Contacted 2/25 to cancel order. Did not credit until 3/13. One of the worst internet sellers I have evar dealt with."

"WORST shopping experience I have ever had. Placed order almost a month ago, and to this date, I have no idea what is going on with my order. I have been on hold for 4 hours and then got disconected on various ocassions. They don't reply to emails. DON'T EVER BUY HERE"

"My experience from tvauthority wasn't all bad. First off, their customer service system is a sham. I think that's where 99% of their problems are coming from. I ordered my samsung dlp tv and repairmaster warranty from their site saving almost 700.00 dollars. I had read the reviews prior to ordering and was quite hesitant but I figured I could always dispute the charge if need with my credit card company. To my surprise and I'm sure it was because I kept calling just about every day and waiting the 1hr hold time, I got my tv in about 25 days. Though this may seem a long time for most, if you look at the other reviews I feel lucky. My biggest complaint is that prior to ordering the tv I was told my credit card wouldn't be charged until the order was ready to ship, a lie. My card was charged the night of the order and after numerous calls nothing changed. Second was a couple of days after placing the order I read some further reviews and decided against purchasing the extended warranty. No big deal because they told me that usually doesn't ship out for 4-6 weeks after the order right? Well as of today about 2 months later and 10+ calls into customer service where on 3 occasions the service rep stated she personally watched the credit put in I have yet to receive any charge back to my credit card. I further found that every time I called I was just placated and yes'd to death to make me get a false sense of feeling something was going to be done about this credit. It wasn't until I brought up the fact about disputing the charge to my credit card company that they brought the lying to another level about actually watching the credit happen. All in all I wouldn't say tvauthority is a bad site as long as you have a month to spare before you expect your tv and don't want to cancel any part of your order. There's something to be said about a company who has a short hold time for the sales dept but almost an hour hold time for cust service. I kind of got the vibe of once they get your money, you're kind of strung along at their pace, and all promises go out the window. Hope this helps."

Seriously, I do not know how these people sleep at night. I spoke with Tico, Tori, Anthony...
Waited over an hour. Television never shipped. Was billed right away on date the order was placed. Now we have cancelled the order and are waiting for our card to be credited. Do not shop TVAuthority.com. It has been the worst experience I have ever had. Awful.

I have since placed an order with Vanns.com and it has been a breath of fresh air dealing with them. I placed the order yesterday and I already have a shipping tracking number. Fabulous vendor!"

"well if knew that i was going to get the run around from this company i would have stayed far from them.i get the same promises that every body esles gets. it going to be in next week or we are going to get you a tracking number.when i read every bodyelse report about what going on with them and seem just like me.heres my experence with live chat.it took 3 hours first.

she said that distribution center was closed it was only 1:50pm. thats a lie and she said she would call that "it would be done" it wasnt. two days latter i talk to anthony he said i would get tracking number in 24 hours . that didnt happen.i think they dont know what a tracking number is. so now i am going dispute this with my creit card comp. i am also going out of my to file any kind complaints that every body has written to do like bbb or start my own law suit let it be. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE."

"If you are reading this and have not purchased from TVauthority I will save you the trouble of reading the rest of the posts. DO NOT BUY. THIS STORE IS A SHAM AND YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR PRODUCT BUT WILL BE CHARGED FOR IT. If you have already purchased something from them and are wondering why it has not been delivered, call VISA immediately and dispute the charge and don't waste time trying to contact TVAuthority. If you paid other than a credit card, God be with you.

If you have been ripped off by this company, please take the time to file a complaint with the FTC. If our government cannot protect us from preditors like this company we are in trouble. They continue in business despite all the people they have cheated.
