"UPDATE: I spoke with NPA and he said that they cannot check on the status of an RMA. Just that when it's done that the status will change on my order to complete. That's not very helpful. I hope system-mods can quickly transfer from the mom and pop operation to the new larger center quickly. The RMA process is cumbersome and the fact that nobody can tell you what is going on is not very professional. They have your money and they should be committed to satisfiying the customers. Especially when a product is sent with a manufacturing defect.
The product I purchased has a manufacturing defect. System-mods has been claiming that their RMA system is down and cannot process an RMA. I asked when the RMA system is fixed, how long can I expect a replacement? The gentlemen told me 4 to 6 weeks. Emails requesting info have been ignored as to when I can ship my part back for an RMA. I don't want to just ship it without prior authorization otherwise I will be out the money and the part won't be in my hands anymore.
To System-mods credit, they are all over it when it comes to getting your parts out on time. I ordered on Tuesday morning and my parts were there on Thursday as promised. I love their order tracking system. If they can get my RMA handled in a timely manor I will order from them again. Previous orders from system-mods were top notch.

"greatest mod site arround. We have been doing buisiness with them for a long time and even though they have had theire ups and downs they are still the dominating force in the mod scene. Companies have theire ups and downs and they always recover and make things right with all customers. So beaware when you read reviews most of these are young kids with no understanding of business and will hit the review boards as soon as something goese wrong. No one wants to say how great something is but they will bitch and complain as soon as something happens. I have always depended on system-mods.com and will do in the future. "

"Original purchase in Nov. Chip DOA. Return for RMA and Received by SMT first week of December. It's now Late FEBRUARY. I just called them and STILL have heard NOTHING. I'm tempted to take SMT to small claims court for all the time I have wasted!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Ordered a X3. Got it quick with all parts. Nolga is the shit. As for the peeps who are not satisfied you need to read the wording on the website. Just like any other ecommerce site there are rules and policies. Also learn how to use the online chat tool located on there site, it helps with any tech and ordering questions. This places deals with thousands of cutomers a day and it seems that only the people with problems post there comments on forums, but you have to remember there is about 300000000 billion customers who are satisfied who don't post cause they are too busy and excited about there product. So just chill and stop taking it up the A$$. SMT 4 eva"
I have no feedback on support because it was not needed. I placed my order. I received my confirmation e-mail. I tracked my order with the supplied order number. I the had my order at the house a couple of days later. The quality of the items I received were excellent.
Pros: Webpage IRC availability Speedy service Great products
Cons: Cannot ship to alternate address other than billing address. This is understandable with fraud and such, but was a bit of a bummer. That is really not a problem.
"My wife ordered me a pre-mod as a Christmas gift on December 17.
It's now February 16.
I have no pre-mod.
My wife was told of various shortages, again and again, when she could get through to someone. More often, we'd get a lying outgoing voicemail message about how all the orders shipped on Wednesday, or were going to ship this week.
Which Wednesday would that be? Which week is "this week?"
If these guys aren't runing a scam, they seem to be going out of their way to make it look like they are."
"After going through hell with Chipdealer.com (I wil never buy from them/try to buy from them again. They are a shady group) I went to SMT.I placed a order last friday for over night shipping. Since it was a friday the site said that I wouldn't get my order till Tuesday. I got it today which is Monday,a full day earlier and looked over my order and everything seems to be good. Great company and a great group of people irc chat was very help full will buy from again and many more times after that. invoice # 73041"
"I have had nothing but an awful experience with System Mod Technologies. My item (a crystal Xbox Controller) arrived completely broken and useless. I filled out an RMA form, emailed them countless times to at least 4 different addresses, never with a reply. I called them numerous times but nobody answered. I was ripped off $38. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE!!!"

"okay, so it was my first time ever ordeing from system-mods and i only did it because i thought my friend order from them. now , i know that i don't need to go into details about how bad this supplier is, becuase i now alot of people all ready know first had. i mean, you can only imagen how dad a supplier is when their voice mail are full and they don't take the time to answer your emails. my order was short i x2.6 and i placed my order on jan/7, i contact them the very same day to tell them about the problem and insted of helping me, the acused me of trying to get a free chip (F**kU), i tried and tried to get this resolve, talk to them first thing in the morning (before all of the "problably" 1000 other conplains beate me to the line) sending them emails (left 2 to 3 vmassages, abd then could never againg, cause the vm was full). so i though i would do the next best thing, so i called my c/c and told them to stop payment for the amount of the x2.6 and they did and just yesturday feb/10 i got and email for SM saying my order is on the way. 1 moth 3 days later for one chip. now, do you tink you sould order from them?? i don't know if your that stupid, but would i or and of my friends ever order from them? you bet your ass we won't!! o and i later find out my friend was ordering from madman. i haven't order from mm yet so i don't know how they are, but i sure as hell know that i would never order from s-m againg EVER."
