"Good overall experience. They do not directly see the product. I ordered a Nikon D80 from onecall.com through shop.com. I noticed that the order is usually delayed by a day before it reached onecall. But overall, no hassle and I got my camera in good condition within 4 days. I guess, as long as one chooses a good store to buy from and one is ready to take a one day delay, this is a good place to buy through. Customer service was good and helpful"

"My first and maybe last order. I ordered a music CD, fulfilled through usermart.com. A CD arrived, and pretty soon, but it wasn't the one I'd ordered. Emailed usermart, emailed shop.com, got automated responses - no real followup by them. So, earlier today I called the credit card company and told them to not pay. I saved all the emails and that sort of thing. Fifteen dollars - I have to go through all this because of a 15-dollar CD that wasn't what was pictured on the web site. Thanks but no thanks, I will go with more reliable sellers in the future.========Update: I did evetually get a couple of real emails from both shop.com and usermart. I sent them all the documentation they asked for, but they claimed to not have received it. I never did get a refund or credit from them, but fortunately my credit card company found in my favor. UNfortunately,that did not include return shipping charges. My first and last order from these guys. "
"Shop.com is one of the easiest online merchants to deal with. I needed a new mp3 player - found the exact one I wanted in about 2 minutes. Placed the order, received a confirmation email seconds later. TigerDirect is the store to beware of - THEY screwed up my order. I checked with Shop.com to see about my order, because I hadn't heard anything from TigerDirect. All was well on Shop.com's end. TigerDirect never confirmed my order - I called them, only to find out my order was on hold because, since I was a new customer, my credit card had to be verified. I didn't find this out until 10 days after I placed the order, and called because I hadn't gotten anything - not even an EMAIL. TigerDirect's customer service was rude, impatient, and doesn't understand the value of using a mute button when they need to cough or chit-chat with other reps. Horrible service. But Shop.com is fabulous, and the rest of the reviewers on here don't seem to realize that it's usually the other merchant that screws up - shop.com takes your order and forwards it on, that's ALL. And they do a darn good job of it."
"Stay away from this place! I ordered 1 towel set, and 2 pairs of athletic pants for Christmas gifts. They sent me "3" sets of towels and no athletic pants. :( And they charged me the $30.00 per set for the towels, and the pants were only 16.95 each. This place sucks!"
"BUYER BEWARE This place sucks. What a rip-off. There just a middleman for other stores. Then they forget to tell the other stores about your purchase. Ordered an item three weeks before Christmas. Figured it shipped. Boy was I wrong. Called the actual store one week before. They never heard of my order. Called SHOP.COM. They said they’d get right on it. Five days later (two days before Christmas) they E-mail me the actual store did not have the item. NEVER BUY FROM THIS STORE."
"You know, this shop.com site just plain stinks. I have emailed them 3 times in the course of the past 2 months, and all they can tell me is "we have forwarded your order inquiry to softwareoutlet.com you should be hearing from them.... to which i never did. I ordered a couple windows xp cds from them, which i never got. But they are more then happy to take the money from my credit card.I wouldn't recommend these guys to save my life."
"My complaint with SHOP.COM is, when I placed an order to HomeandBeyond.com through their website, they added me to their spam list without even asking. I hate spam, and I hate even more when I get it from a company I did business with, and they didn't even bother asking if I wanted to be on their "daily specials" list or whatever other spam they broadcast. They had the one chance and blew it. I won't use their shopping service again."

"I ordered an item that was "IN STOCK". As of 9/22/06 I have still not received my purchase and the current status is "Estimated Delivery Date 10/02/06". I've been hanging on 'HOLD' on the phone for over 20 mins. I will never purchase from them again!"
"I purchased 1000 feet of cat 5 e from here, literally a couple hous later i tryed to cancel it. they said it had allready shipped and this was obviously not the case as it was a friday. at any rate i talked to a customer service person who said i could return it - a 15% restocking fee reguardless of if it was open or not. i later upon recieving the package a week later called them back to set up a return. They than told me that not only woult they charge the restocking fee but also that i would have to purchase somthing of greater or equal value from them. i currently dont need anything so this is a large problem. the dumbass customer service associates couldnt pull their heads out of their asses long enough to keep a customer. this store has an insane return policy and all in all i wouldnt prchase from them again if the alternative was a night tied up at the neverland ranch(2 diffrent kinds of ass rape, at least that one doesnt hut your wallett) ."
"I ordered the product (a hat) off shop.com. the order was received by the store selling the product (Blair Clearance) within 1-2 business days and I received the product 3-4 days later. not bad for an item that had free shipping included. so far no problems with shop.com. they have been great!"
"I bought an mp3 player through them. It was an awful experience. Everything was late, the order was never processed I tried to cancel which they argued over then they finally agreed. Then the next day they process my oder anyways. I had contact them by email and phone and was given no help. I will never buy from them agian and I would encourage people to go to a reputable company. Like Amazon who I ended up making another purchase through."
"Placed order and product arrived quickly, but I was significantly overcharged. (14%) Contacted cust support at shop.com who indicated they would inform reseller and get credit taken care of - I would be cc'd on correspondence. Almost 2 weeks later, no email, no credit. Now, like so many mediocre business, I have the most to lose, so I must assume the burden of getting the transaction corrected. I'm sure it will eventually get reversed (the CC company is on my side) but they'll make me grovel a bit and call multiple times before things are corrected."
