"REALLY unhappy with this place. I usually order from Zappos which has extremely quick shipping and wonderful customer service. These shoes took FOREVER to get here. Over 3 weeks. They did not fit and I didn't realize that they only have a 60 day return policy (Zappos is a YEAR). I called to return them (I am over 60 days but under 90) and they said there is nothing they can do for me. I spent more than $100 on shoes that are completely useless to me. I will NEVER shop at this site again. Horrendous return policy and customer service."
"This is one of the worst places for reliability on recieving what is ordered. 2 pairs of shoes were ordered on cyber Monday. One as a Christmas Gift. The problems began a week after. 1. There were extra charges on my credit card, shoebuy said it was an error in the system and it would clear. Shipping would take a little longer since they go through other wareshouses.2. December 10 I recieve a confirmation of shipment of one item and they cancelled my other (the gift). 3. I scrambled to find another retailer for the same gift, found it cheaper and was sent within 3 days.4. December 17 still hadn't recieved the product. Shoebuy said that it would take up to 8 days to track. Called my credit card and put a dispute on it.5. 24 December the shipment or followup still has not been recieved from shoebuy.Spoke with a Ronald and Stephanie in the two calls with shoebuy."
"I ordered shoes for my wedding on this site. I figured since I have 5 months that if they weren't right I'd just get a new pair. Well after ordering, they arrived 2 days later. I was in shock, and after reading the reviews I assumed they would be awful. But no, I love them! They were just like the picture and a perfect fit. I am extremely satisfied and can't wait to wear them in June!"
"I ordered a pair of Nevados Cumberland 11.5 M in Tyre Grey, when they came I tried 1 on and it was at least a size and a half too small, I returned them per their instructions immediately and was told they would ship a larger pair in exchange and would notify me of shipment. several days passed after they received the shoes via ups, and no word from them, they ignore my emails and hang up on my calls. do not do business with them they are fraudulent and their guarantee means nothing. I finally got through by phone to them and they claimed they shipped them back to me but had no tracking # or proof of shipment, they also claimed shoes had been worn which is a lie, one shoe was tried on and didn't fit, I returned them unworn immediately."
"I purchased two pairs of shoes through the shoebuy events site. NEVER purchase from - awful service! They do not respond to customer service inquiries. I have put several in with zero response and they will not let you return the shoes without a re-stocking fee. And you cannot do exchanges AT ALL which I did not know. I also emailed the main shoebuy.com customer service site with zero response at all. I would NEVER buy from them, and wish I had seen all the other people that posted here before I ordered from them. Zero customer service = a site that is going to go under very soon."
"I'm a UK customer and because I bought an item with a free delivery offer and Shoebuy did not list the freight charges as zero apparently, UK customs and excise imposed an arbitrary charge and I'm being asked for £35 by UPS instead of approximately £9 !!Shoebuy sent me the standard 'well you agreed to pay all duties/taxes' response and now won't answer. Really, Really poor."
"My complaint against Shoebuy. com is not in the nature of customer service, shoddy products, or shipping disasters. My complaint is that they rejected my customer review for a pair of boots I had bought from them recently, and they never contacted me to tell me why it was rejected. They just sent me an email at a later point saying "It's time to review your purchase," perhaps in the hopes of fooling me into writing a different kind of review. I didn't use inappropriate language or even mention other retailers. I merely stated that the boots were made in China, which I was not happy about because many online retailers refuse to reveal when products originate in China -- they prefer to say "imported" because it sounds more exotic or high-end. I tried to research other websites to see where the boots might be made before I purchased them, but I could find nothing about their origins, and I went ahead and bought them. They were quite expensive, so I figured they more likely were made in Italy or Brazil, but no, I saw when the boots arrived that they were Chinese. And for revealing this information, I believe my review was banned, because I actually used up the rest of my allotted characters saying how *cute and comfy* the boots are in spite of my gripes with where they were made. I emailed Shoebuy.com's customer service address to ask if my suspicions about the reason why my review was rejected are correct, because if they are, I will never make another purchase with them again. What are the odds that I'll get an honest answer? Update: They never responded to my email asking why they thought it was ok to reject the review I wrote for the boots. I will definitely never buy anything from them again, and have gone ahead and blocked their spam emails. "
"I've placed two orders with them and haven't had any problems. The sizing of the shoes was way off in one of the orders and I was able to ship the shoes back at no cost to me. They issued a credit promptly after receiving the shoes. Like others, I shopped here due to the low prices. Make sure you use a coupon when ordering since they almost always have a 15%-25% off coupon code."
"DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!They sent me shoes that were already obviously worn and had a new sole put on! The shoes arrived at my office and we were cracking up laughing at the condition of the box they were in, then to open them and see the glue used to resole them, and the dirt still stuck in the zippers....holy cow! We thought it was a joke! The back of the shoe where the heel meets the sole is all worn down, and they are not suede as advertised- they are that cheap felt material! I am thinking of suing for false advertising just to teach these assholes a lesson, especially after looking at all the other reviews. It wouldn't cost me a thing but a bit of time. I am also reporting them to the better business bureau."
"This company is truly the worst! I decided to forgo my usual Zappos and give shoebuy.com a try for my fall boot purchase. I purchased 2 different pairs of boots assuming I could send one or both back if they didn't fit (that's the whole point, right!?) Neither boot fit properly so after 4 days of mulling it over, I decided to return both. I packed them carefully in their original packaging and affixed the correct labels and (THANKFULLY!) decided to go to zappos to continue my search. That was about 2 weeks ago. Today I received two large shoebuy.com packages in the mail with a handwritten note saying I couldn't return the boots because they were "worn." Obviously, I was not exactly going clam-digging in them during the breif time these boots sat on my office floor. The customer rep that I contacted regarding the matter said someone would review the photos they took and get back to me within 24-48 hours. She sounded like she'd said that a hundred times and when I asked if I should cancel payment on my credit card in the meantime, she said no, because when my card company called them to verify, shoebuy would just say since I currently had the merchandise they couldn't issue a return (remember, I've already returned these damn boots once and they were sent back to me). I asked if I should send back the product to shoebuy.com and she said no, because shoebuy would just bounce it right back to me. What a sneaky, underhanded trick! I informed my credit card company and the issue remains open. This is how swear words are invented. "
"Placed an order on 9/27. Credit card was billed immediately. I received no email correspondence. On 10/2 I called customer service. After being on hold for 15 minutes, a rude "customer service" rep told me that ShoeBuy didn't send out order confirmations until an order shipped, and that I should have written down the order number when I placed the order. He also told me that the order shipped 9/28, but I still had not received any emails. He promised to send another out - still waiting.Rude and unprofessional."
"BEWARE OF SHOEBUY!!! Ordered a pair of boots in size 7. Shoebuy used the actual shoebox as the shipping box and it arrived smashed. I thought nothing of it when I destroyed the box by slicing it open and discarded it after I saw that the boots were undamaged. About after a week, I decided that it was going to be a bit large for me, I sent it back to exchange. I called to find out how and even mentioned the box was destroyed. I was told that as long as the boots were packed carefully and I was exchanging for the same color, same brand, same style, then they would just keep the box of the new one and send me the new one without a box. I agreed and carefully packed the boots into a box with padding and wrapped in plastic so the boots wouldn't get scuffed. The box I used was a bit smaller than a shoebox so there was no movements inside the box. A few weeks later, I received a large shoebuy package. When I opened it, the size 7 boots I had sent in came tumbling out of the box, scuffed and loose. The packing material I had used was in the box but everything was tossed around in transit. Shoebuy wrote a note saying they will not accept my exchange since the box was missing. So they decided to dump the boots I am stuck with into a big box and let it get tumbled around in there to scuff each other up. Shoebuy had terrible customer service when I called to see what happened. She basically told me to fuck off. I will not be buying from here anymore. BE CAREFUL!!"
"Ordered shoes from Shoebuy.com/events at a great price and the website says they ship 1 to 5 business days. Nine business days later, I called and found they haven't shipped, but the warehouse should be shipping that day. Called next business day and they were not shipped, but should be that day. Called at end of that day, and not shipped. Spoke to Shelia, a supervisor and she checked and they weren't in stock, and couldn't give a delivery date. She called back after hours and she said they were at the manufacture warehouse, and when they shipped them, and they arrive to them, she would have them shipped. Asked how long this would take, and she had no clue. Canceled order. Called to let manager Scott Hayes know why he has lost a customer, and was not available, left message and he would call back. Going on third day, and nothing. May have to write or call Mr Diller or Mr Blatt, the CEO. Shoebuy was sold about one year ago to this new crew. Obviously, these second buyers aren't concerned with sales of Shoebuy, which is just one of their companies. "
"bought shoes from them thinking will save some money, sent me wrong size and they refuse to pay return shipping. customer service guy says I will have to send them pictures and write a letter explaining the situation for them to pay some portion of shipping. for a company that do business online they should be able to correct mistakes on their part. now if i am to do the trade for the real item, will have to pay again for customs and the shoes which i could have paid 80$ at local store end up costing me 140 in total.... totally disappointed... have been doing business online since last 10 yrs and this has to be the worst company so far.ppl with good reviews for them should start playing lottery, you guys are lucky ones"
"Shoebuy.com shipped me the wrong size shoe and expected me to pay for the return postage when they were the ones who made the initial error. Will never do business with this unscrupulous company again."
