"Sciencelab.com is the worst online company I ever dealt with. They charged my credit card immediately, but they were extremely slow to respond. I would say they ignored my emails and phone calls. They substituted what I ordered with something worth less than 1/3 the value, without my agreement, and insisted that I have to accept it. I believe what they are doing is unethical and even criminal, so I filed a claim with BBB. BBB rates Sciencelab.com an F. I regret I did not check the BBB-online rating before dealing with this terrible company. NEVER USE SCIENCELAB.COM! "

"Same story as the others posted here. I placed in order, and my credit card was immediately charged. Soon thereafter I received an e-mail stating that the item was backordered, so I requested a cancellation of the order. I was told the order was canceled, but it's been 30 days, and I have yet to receive a credit to my credit card, even after frequent follow-ups. Last I heard I was told a few days ago that their accounting department had processed my credit and that I would see it in 3 business days, but at this point, I filed a dispute charge report and am letting my credit card company handle it. What a hassle. DON'T ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY."

I ordered something in April, was immediately charged, was told it was backordered, asked to cancel my order, was told by an email that my order would be canceled. I never received a refund. I emailed multiple times and got no response. I called multiple times and got no response. I have thus filed a fraud complaint with my credit card company."
"Fraud Alert! This company is charging for items it does not have in stock and then delaying customers long enough so they cannot dispute the charge. Bait and switch. I ordered a simple bunsen burner and some refills. About $200 for everything. I was charged the next day and immediately sent an email saying I had to wait two to three weeks for the order. After waiting a full month I emailed them and "Brande" responded saying the items were still on backorder and that they would contact me when it came in. After 2 more months (March) I tried contacting them again and also asking if I could get a refund - I received no response. I waited one more month (April) and emailed again asking about the status - no response again. It is now May, a full 5 months after my order, I have never been able to get another response from them and I have never been able to get ahold of a real person through their phone numbers.
I am now in the process of filing out a fraud alert with my credit card company requesting the money back from ScienceLab.com.
My advice to you: ScienceLab.com is a scam and a fraud. Do not order anything from them. Best of luck to you and thanks for reading."
"I'm a PhD student from university of Denver. We ordered some patch cords five month ago from sciencelab.com. The seller has already received the complete payment however after 5 month we have yet to receive anything whatsoever. We have contacted the company more than 20 times and every time they tell us that the product will be on its way. We have even asked for our money to be reimbursed but no action has been taken. This is customer service at its worst state. Infact this is theft.This company has not only stolen money from University of Denver but we have had spent a lot of prescious research time on contacting the company and also waiting for the poduct to arrive. We deal with several companies on a regular basis but we have never seen such a thing. We are going to report this matter to the university board and this matter will be legally followed by the university Lawyers. "
"Worst online shopping experience I have ever had - 4 months of being lied to, ignored, and treated with indifference. Do NOT do business with this company! Below is my BBB complaint.
At the beginning of December, 2008 I ordered an item from ScienceLab. On 12/15/2008, I received an email from them notifying me that the item was on back order with the manufacturer and would take an extra 2-3 weeks for delivery. On 01/12/2009, I wrote ScienceLab to check on the status of the item as it had still not shipped. They responded that they would contact the manufacturer and update me. On 01/14/2009 they responded saying that the item would arrive the following Friday and would be expedited immediately. On 02/12/2009 I contacted ScienceLab by email again as the item had still not shipped, and we had received no notification of the reason for delay. Since that time I have not received a single written response to numerous emails that I have sent, and on 02/17/2009 I finally spoke to someone on the phone who told me that the item would be received on 02/25/2009 and would be expedited immediately. I contacted ScienceLab again by phone on 02/28/2009, and was informed that the item had not arrived, and they didn't know when it would. Before getting through, I had left 2 messages which were not returned. On 03/04/2009 I contacted ScienceLab again, and after speaking to the receptionist was forwarded to a voicemail. I left a message, which was not returned, and sent an email, also not returned. After calling several more times, I spoke with the receptionist again who told me it would arrive on Friday (March 6th). On 03/06/2009 and 03/09/2009 I called repeatedly, left several voicemails, and only once I called from a friends phone with a different area code was my call answered. At this time I was informed that the item had not arrived, and they did not know when it would. I canceled my order. My problem has never been with the item being on back order - it has been with this company's refusal to be honest about the arrival of the item (repeatedly telling me it has shipped when it has not) and refusal to follow up, return my calls, and in the end, even answer my calls. "
"I placed an order with sciencelab.com for four thermometers on 12/10/08. On 12/11 I received an email stating the items were on backorder with the manufacturer and I would receive them in 3-4 weeks. After 4 weeks I had heard nothing from the company, I emailed on 1/12/09 and was told they would check on the order. Did not hear back from them so I called on 1/28/09 and was told the shipment was coming in that day and would be shipped to me by weeks end. Still did not received my order, called again 2/3/09 and again was told they would ship by weeks end. I received one of the four I ordered (and had paid for on 12/10/08). Called repeatedly and was transferred to voicemail, could not reach a manager or anyone who could help me. Finally got fed up and on 2/23/09 I emailed stating I wanted a refund. Received an email back stating "I am so sorry- things have been a crazy around here. I can get the rest of the order fulfilled for you in a week. Thank You for your patience, please contact me if you have any questions." I'm not holding my breath I will receive my order and I'm not sure they will refund the $100 they owe me. This company needs some serious lessons in customer service."
"Placed order on 12/26/08 credit card charged same day. Received email on 12/29/08 product requested on backorder for three to four weeks. Called on 2/02/09 said they would have to check with manufacturer and call me back. 24 hours later no return call so called again said they still didn't know when it would ship. Told them I wanted to cancel order they said "no way" I said they had already violated the FTC 30 day rule then they hung up on me. I called my credit card company and disputed the charge. They credited me while I was on the phone. If you have dealt with these people without satisfactory results and paid by credit card call the credit card company and dispute even if it is 60 days after the charge. What they are doing is edging toward fradulent and credit card company give you some leeway with this consideration. "
