Order arrived and it was incomplete. It took 3 months to get everything I ordered. They wouldn't pay for return shipping, they wanted me to pay. They do not return phone calls or e-mails. This place should be out of business."

"Sent out an order on Tuesday 4/20, but became concerned with the poor reviews. I emailed the sales people to say that, if the order could not be filled in three days, then it should be canceled. I didn't want my order to be tied up in the way some have reported, but I thought it fair to given them a reasonable opportunity to fill the order.
My order was filled the next day (Wed) and received on Friday. A salesperson, Sarah, emailed me later to say that she was sorry that I had been alarmed and that they have only a few dissatisfied customers.
I'm in no position to comment on anyone else's experience, but my order was handled in a very fast, professional manner, for a very good price. The items ordered were delivered exactly as ordered, ahead of schedule, and I could use the tools on Friday that I had ordered on Tuesday.
All told, I'm happy with the service and will not hesitate to order from them again, if the need arises."
"Horrible customer service. Never shipped my order. Gave me run-around until trying to get me to pay more for the tools I ordered.
I ordered from S&J because they listed the lowest prices around on SK hand tools. Every item I ordered off their website was posted as "usually ships next business day." Two weeks, three weeks, five weeks, and six weeks after I ordered and paid for those tools, I I had to email them to inquire on the status. Each time I was told that they were looking into it and should get back to me soon (of course if they had gotten back, I wouldn't have had to email with the same question, week after week). Eventually, they said the parts were back-ordered, but that they could get them to me soon if I paid the new, higher price. I explained that this was unacceptable. I paid the full listed price for the tools with the understanding that they would be shipped within a few days. They happily took my money and kept me in the dark until trying to squeeze more cash from me. Eventually they refunded my money. Should have checked other customers' reviews. My experience seems to be typical with this company. I'll never shop with them again. "

"WARNING!!! Attention to everybody who ever will think to have business with this "company." S&J's Discount Tools. DO NOT!!! STAY AWAY!!! #1 reason, no contact phone number on their website (good enough to stay away). #2, even if you call 740-657-3322 (which I found on PayPal, but it was already too late, because my money was gone) you will never speak to live person and they will never call you back. #3. The company name does NOT register in nationwide 411 information list (how about that). #4: There is more than one company registered to the address they have on their website (7830 North Central Dr. Suite C Lewis Center, OH 43035). I called the businesses located in next units from them and guess what, one has never seen any body in unit "C", the other one told me they have moved out. I won't go into details of my experience with them, but I finally received a refund after opening a dispute with the credit card company. Once again, STAY AWAY. I am sure whatever you are looking for, you can find anywhere else in a decent company with decent people. I would add a "B" in front of "S&J" to describe what kind of business they are."
"I ordered 6 products for a job on 3/24/10. The first 2 items came in about 2 days and the next 3 about 2 days later. I noticed that the gallon of surface cleaner I ordered was missing. I contacted them about it. They assured me that it was a mistake and it would ship out. I waited a few days for a tracking number, then today I get an email stating that it would be $75 extra to ship the cleaner on UPS because they say it's hazmat. I'm going to file a complaint with ic3.gov for fraud. I was charged the day of the sale and I never got all my merchandise. What a scam.

"I ordered a tool from this company first part of February. They don't communicate at all until you inquire about the item after it should have been recieved. They tell you it is on backorder and will ship in a week or two. When that time is up and you inquire again they will push the ship date up another month or better. They illegally charge your card at time of order and not when it ships. They make most of their money from interest on money from outstanding orders. There is no real company just two guys doing this from their home and drop shipping from different vendors. There is nobody working for them who answers phones, takes orders or solves problems. Just a mass order center who is not affiliated with them but hired to take phone orders from customers who doesn't want to order on-line. Megan and some other female names are just phonies to make make angry customers less prone to say what they think. I ordered from them a couple of years ago as well with the same exact outcome. Stay away from these guys.
Update on 4/15/10 In all fairness I have decided to update my previous post about this company. After all the troubles I had experienced with this order, Sarah called on the phone and offered a 20% discount and free shipping if I wanted to continue waiting for my merchandise. It did finally arrive and Sarah followed thru on her promise. In addition she did call me back every time I left a message on the same phone number posted in a different review on this website. Will probably give them another shot just to see if I had bad luck in the past."
