We take pride in describing and displaying all of our compatible replacement batteries as exactly and accurately as possible. The replacement battery you ordered is named 'Vision CP12180 Compatible Replacement Battery', and is pictured with the standard nut and bolt terminals that are found on Vision ‘CP12180’ batteries. Vision does also make a ‘CP12180X’ battery with the screw down terminals that you describe on your older battery, however we do not offer a replacement for that model. We apologize that you did not understand before ordering that it was a compatible replacement for a ‘CP12180’, rather than a Vision brand ‘CP12180X’ battery, from the name and description on the web site, and in your order confirmation, or the product photo. We encourage all our customers to verify exact model numbers before ordering, as many batteries have similar model numbers.”

I had 3 older (but still worth keeping) UPSs that were sitting in a corner because their batteries needed to be replaced. There are tons of replacement battery sellers on the internet - so how do you choose the right one? <br><br>I found the RefurbUPS website in my searching and took a look at it - and was impressed. The site was easy to navigate, had the company\u0027s address and phone number in an easy to find location, and even had links to videos showing how to replace batteries in various UPSs. I figured if they put this much attention to detail into their website, they were a legitimate business. <br><br>As it turned out, their location was a half hour drive from home. So, I called their office to see if I could stop by and make my purchase in person rather than having the batteries shipped to me. I was told - \u0022no problem\u0022 so off I went.<br><br>The staff at RefurbUPS were friendly, organized, and helpful. I bought batteries for two of the UPSs and was undecided about the third. After getting a price on the replacement, I bought that one too. I had one of the UPSs in the car and mentioned it to one of the guys in the shipping department. He offered to remove the old battery, install the new one, and test it for me! Worked like a charm!<br><br>I don\u0027t get enthusiastic about buying computer accessories as a rule. But this review is an opportunity to share my positive experience with others who might benefit from reading it. <br><br>If you need a UPS, replacement battery, or any of the other services that RefurbUPS offers, you should check them out. It fits and is the right voltage and all but I wanted the same exact battery I needed to replace. Also instead of posts to screw ring terminals onto I got stand ups ring terminals. I really had trouble with the space and the way the cables were routed to get the flat of the ring terminal from the cable, to lay flat against the terminal from the battery.<br>I am not going to pay for shipping to return it and hope that the way I connected the battery will last and that the trickle charger works.<br>Revised June 27, 2012:<br>I thank RefurbUPS for their response but it if I remember correctly, it was not until I got the confirmation that it stashed it was a compatible replacement. I had a similar problem ordering a battery for my cordless drill from another company and it killed my battery charger and I had to replace that as well. That is why I tried to be so careful to order the actual battery. I thought it was a REFURBISHED battery not COMPATIBLE. But thank you anyway!
