"Purchased Guitar Hero World Tour at GameStop on 10/26. On 11/11 the red drum pad stopped working and I requested an RMA. I shipped the drum set back (at my expense) to RedOctane and it was received on 11/24.
Today, one month later, nothing. Repeated status queries get a meaningless "In Process" response. Repeated attempts to contact support by phone result in "no one available to take my call."
The greeting at RedOctane's support number says they will be closed until 1/5 for the holidays. One would think that if they are drowning in returned DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, they would be working 24/7 to satisfy their customers. Apparently not.
RedOctane has now had this DEFECTIVE PRODUCT for twice as long as I did.
I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER REDOCTANE or ACTIVISION PRODUCT again.
I smell a class action lawsuit coming.

"RedOctane SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! I placed an order approximately two weeks ago. I received the automated order invoice in my email and that's the last I've heard from them. The order shows closed now, i'm assuming they cancelled the order however the charge is still pending on my credit card. No one answers their customer service number and no one responds to customer service emails. I will never buy another redoctane product. I had previously purchased guitar hero aerosmith bundle at Bestbuy, and they suggested buying a bestbuy warranty on the guitar because redoctane doesn't warrant it, what kind of crap is that? I need to start a manufacturing company if it's ok to sell new products AS-IS."

"I purchased a set of two DDR dance pads from the RedOctane website as a present for my youngest son a couple months ago. They arrived quickly and all seemed well for about two or three days. After that, we noticed that one pad had an issue where, rather regularly, hitting the back of left button would cause the game to think both the back and left button had been pressed. As a novice, this didn’t seem to be an issue for me, but watching my son play and looking at the explanations online makes it obvious that this makes the game impossible to play at any higher level. I tried contacting RedOctane by phone several times a day for several days, trying to get my issue resolved, yet was totally unsuccessful in being able to talk to a human being. After this, I attempted emailing and was told I would be able to talk to a supervisor if I provided a phone number for them to call. I waited a full week to be contacted by phone concerning the details of this return (I was most bothered by the fact that, though the product shipped to me was defective, I was the one who had to pay shipping back to the warehouse) until I finally gave up and sent the pad back for repair. I was extremely disappointed by this experience and I find it difficult to believe that a company would treat their customers in such a fashion."

"I should have listened to all of the negative reviews I saw before ordering. I placed an order, paid with paypal and have not heard anything since. Whats strange is, paypal sen the money and they list the payment as unclaimed, but red octane shows my account as "waiting for paypal authorization. I contacted paypal, there is nothing to authorize, red octane is just letting my payment hang. They dont answer the phone or emails, nice way to do business. If this is how you operate I will be sure to spread the word after I get my money back. Thanks for potentially ruining christmas red octane."
