Upon initially contacting Rack Attack was informed that I had to pay additional for the lock. In any case, time was of the essence and I needed the part so I paid for it and Rack Attack shipped it. Shortly thereafter, Chris, the Denver rep for Rack Attack said that additional charge wasn\u0027t correct and the lock should have been included. It was a manufacturing\/packaging error. He promptly refunded me the lock price, apologized and took care of the issue. Ive got to say despite the snafu, which we all know can happen with any company, at anytime throughout the supply chain, customer service is and always has been the pinnacle of a company\u0027s mark. I ordered 2 Packs of q83 clips, 58\u0022 crossbars, q towers, sks locks, and a 50 inch faring (all Yakima brand). Upon inspection of my package I noticed that I was missing my 50\u0022 fairing. I emailed Jon at rack attack and the next morning he called me himself. I told him the situation and that I ordered this rack to go on a road trip. He offered to overnight the package to me so that I would be able to use the fairing for the trip. Excellent customer service and thank you Jon & rack attack. Received a phone call asking if I would like to have another 10% off for a box that had been opened. Like everyone else I am all for saving money. Received package quickly. I heard everything rattling and moving inside the box when UPS set it at the door and even more when I brought the box inside to open it. The adaptor pieces were already on the crossbars and had been sliding on them. An adaptor rubber piece was not in place properly, so I spent 20 minutes getting back in place without destroying it. Logged onto there site using my account and associated it with this purchase trying to explain my concerns with no reply. According to the receipt I don\u0027t have any course of action because I don\u0027t have all of the original packaging and a discount was applied.
