posted Jun-11-2007 “We were contact by this customer via phone prior to them purchasing the battery. They had asked us if the 9 cell extended battery would work in another company's branded computer. The computer they were purchasing was an msi 15.4" notebook. We assured them that the battery would work in this model and fits and charges perfectly as per our discussion with the customer this afternoon. Notebook batteries as listed on our site under "return policy" in the customer service section of our website are not returnable. We were attempting to offer the customer a resolution for this when she hung up on us. The battery purchased was an extended battery as discussed and as do most protrudes from the rear of the notebook about 3/4 of an inch. We would have exchanged it for the 6 cell stock battery without question, but was not able to get that far. We do our best to resolve every issue even if it goes against some of our policy's but if not given the chance..................”

I (being obsessive compulsive) re-installed the OS so that I could set things up exactly as I wanted. when I was trying to reload the drivers, the graphics driver would not work. I called RK and they told me that the driver had not been released to the public yet, but they would email a link so I could reload it. the system works great and runs perfectly now. I\u0027m very pleased with the prompt service and the fact that, even though what I did was completely unnecessary, the RK rep was completely polite and helpful. Every time I was talking with a person directly (no punch in the number systems or hold for next available customer support agent). I figured there wouldn\u0027t be a problem with any of it, considering the place I got the notebook also seemed to be great. Well, I got the battery early, since I\u0027d had the notebook custom-built by the other company, and it had to be built before it could be shipped. When I got the computer, I noticed all kinds of great things about it, like the battery had charge, it had a nifty swivel-camera I hadn\u0027t noticed, and the battery didn\u0027t stick out. When I put the battery I got from RK computers, I noticed that I now had a computer with a battery sticking out rather oddly. I tried to send this odd-shaped battery back to RK, but apparently I\u0027d been contacted by email or phone(I don\u0027t delete email relating to purchases, but still don\u0027t have any non-automated email from RK. I also don\u0027t use phones unless I\u0027m forced to.) about the battery sticking out. Okay, so maybe somebody\u0027s email server spontaneously combusted or something, but it seems batteries aren\u0027t returnable (although I haven\u0027t been able to find anything on their site about battery returns or warranties, or anything about them, for that matter).
