"I had placed an order for a Canon EOS 50D body. I contacted them get more info about this purchase. In the midst of this communications they indicated that I need to buy a battery from them that the ones that I used with my old Canon EOS camera would not work with this. I knew this was b.s. plus they indicated that the battery would be $99 which is nothing short of an attempt at us sell. I then indicated that I wanted to cancel this purchase. They did – end of story. I ended up buying from another online merchant for a bit less than US1photo.com. I had purchased a Canon EOS 40D body from this outfit a couple of years ago and at that time it was a positive transaction compare to this time."

"I was told that 2-3 day shipping was unavailable and that they in fact, although the company claims to have the camera in stock does not have it and 7-9 day shipping was all that was available to me. I am not in a severe rush but still expected the order to be here by the 23rd. Which is 9 business days. I called on the 23rd, I was nice in this conversation...I was told it wasnt shipped till the 16th so I should have it no later than "next week"....in all technicality if it was shipped on the 16th I should have had it no later (given the 7-9 days shipping) than yesterday April 29th. But given I was told it shipped out of Sacremento on the 16th, I'd allow for one extra day. When I called this morning, Simon told me that it shipped out on the 23rd. I think that Simon expected me to not listen to dates and just take what he was saying as "oh its ok". But he said that it took 11 days start to finish...2-4 days to process and 7-9 days to ship...ok which would have put us at 14 days thus far...sooooo according to his "rules" I would have had my order three days ago. When I told him according to what he is telling me, I should have already had my order but instead he is telling me it will be yet another week. Last week they said it shipped on the 16th...this week they say it shipped on the 23rd. I asked for a Tracking number, I never received one. I was told I would receive an email or phone call letting me know when it was shipped. I only know it was drop shipped because i keep checking on the website...that is what the website says. I asked if I could speak with a manager after a 10 minute wait on hold, Simon came back and told me that the managers name was Tao and that he would have to call me back, but Tao never called, never emailed and Simon never took a message or confirmed a phone number to reach me. When I questioned what Simon was telling me and told him it was unacceptable, he started yelling. I tried to tell him that all I wanted was an email with a tracking number...he yelled over top of my talking and told me to refuse the order and to go to Best Buy and $500.00 more for the order that I was getting at a great price. I proceeded to ask him if this was how they spoke to all of their customers, he said No just the ones who dont accept what I am telling them...then he hung up on me! I feel like this is a bait n switch combined with a TERRIBLE AWFUL NO GOOD customer service. Simon told me to refuse the order and get a full refund but what if it never comes...I have had sooooo many problems trying to get this darn order and read some terrible, made me cry reviews, how am I ever going to get my $$$$$ back! I ordered the camera on April 13th. Told it shipped on 16th.(told I would have it by April 23rd_ Called on 23rd told I would have it by the end of next week (April 30th)(called bank about my options) Called April 30th, I was given a tracking number and told it was lost in USPS, told to call my local post office because it was coonfirmed that they tried to delivered and no one was there for a signature. Called post office, I was told I was given an invalid tracking number. I called "Thomas" (who seemed helpful, seemed nice, gave me his direct line/ ext and I left 4 msgs trying to see if I wrote the # down incorrectly, no returned calls) Called May 3rd, to check the status, see what was going on. I was given minimal information was told they put a tracer on the package and to call in two days to see the status of the tracer, those results would be in by then. Called May 5th, Tracer stated package was lost and a refund was made from Post Office for a lost package. (this is where it starts to get REALLY fishy) They placed a new order to be delivered from NJ vs CA and I would have it no later than Monday or Tuesday. Called May 10th, their shipment never arrived, they didnt have the camera last week to send to me, in order for me to have it by May 10th- 11th. Was told they were to receive a shipment by end of business on the 10th, if the shipment was received they were going to over night it to me, if the shipment was NOT received they would cancel my order and I would receive a refund in 3-5 business days. Walter/ Warehouse manager told me to call customer service and ask for him on Tuesday and he would let me know what the status was. Looked on my account summary on website, my order has been cancelled, no phone call, no email, no notification what so ever. Called Today, May 11th and asked for Walter Warehouse manager, customer service said he is currently receiving a shipment and he would call in an hour, "Rodger" wanted to help and asked what my info was, I was told via Rodger that I would have my $ in 24-48 hours...we shall see. I am thinking its definitely more like 3-5 business days. SOOOO The saga continues, I am just hopeful I will get my money back period! UGH. I will never ever ever try to save a buck again "
I ordered canon lens April 28, It's been 11 days and they didn't ship it yet. When I order the lens I didn't check only for the price. I checked if they have them in their stock and if they can ship it right away!
They've been lying. They didn't have the lens on their stock or they are extremely slow worker. Not shipping after 11 days!
When I called them today to cancel my order they told me that I need to call back later time and they hung up on me! Can you believe it?
The bottom line is their customer service is bad. I'll never use this retailer again. If they don't cancel my order and refund. They know what they'll get!"
"Ordered Samsung TV 04/19. On 4/27 I used form on website to get status on order and never received a response. 04/29 after 20 minute wait on phone was told it shipped via A&M Trucking and would be there by 5/5. Called back on 5/7 after 30 minute wait was given same story. When I mentioned that the amtrucking.com site states that they do not deliver to my zip code and that their firm has no history of my order they quickly agreed to cancel my order. I went ahead and filed dispute with credit card company due to history on this site. Wish I had not wasted my time and tied up my money."

"I ordered camera on April 13, my credit card was charged on April 14th. Today is May 5th - no camera, no status, no money, not even an order number assigned!!! This is a scam and rip off!!! They do not respond to e-mails also. Don't buy anything from them!"
"I should have read those comments before; I would have never purchased from them. I got screwed big time. I bought a Canon 24-105mm lens, the original price was 845$ shipping included. Ken called me once and left me a voice and email message asking me to call him back because of the price he needed to talk to me, I tried multiple times and finally get in touch with him. He mentioned that my lens was backorder, but start giving me additional things to buy like a filter for $100 at half price, a super clean kit, which I estimate 15$ max and an insurance of 3%, and it came out at 1069$, this guy talks fast and managed to offer you other things, you hang up and you just wonder what happened. I tried to reach them, never possible, good luck."
"I ordered a camera from this place and was told 7-10 days for shipping. A week later I called and was told it would arive in a few days. A week later I was told it would arrive in a few days. Called after 2 weeks and was told a few more days.I asked for a tracking number and was told they would email me within the hour. No email was received. I finally called my credit card company to dispute the charge. Don't know if the camera will ever show! I would not buy from Primo unless you enjoy the run around and dishonesty. "
I made the purchase on 4/17/10 and later I found the reviews on this site. I was scared and called PrimoCameras immediately. 4/17 was a Sataurday and they were closed. I made the call again on Monday morning. The guy tried to sell me the memory card and I refused. He also told me there is a $20 shipping charge for the "FREE" case, tripod, memory wallet and screen protector. I told him Primo did not mention that on their site and the guy waived the shipping. An hour later, my order status was changed to "Sent Out To Be Drop Shipped". After this, I called them almost once every two days and they kept telling me the order was shipped on 4/21/10. When I asked for a tracking number, they either told me there was no tracking number because it was sent by USPS or gave me a fake number. Today, I called again and track my order. This guy told me my order was delayed because there is a "flight" delay and I should expect the delivery by 5/6/10. There is a question on my head immediately. I should have a "ground" shipping and really don't understand why it's related to a "flight". Anyway, I told him it is too late because I will be out of town on 5/7/10. He told me he can give me refund (which I never requested). I asked him if he can provide me a confirmation number or email and he hung up on me!!! How rude he is!! I just want to confirm the camera is going to ship to my office and I have already asked my collegue to keep it until I return!
I made the call again and was on hold for 28 minutes. Raymond, the assistant manager picked up my call. I told him for what was happened to me. He said there is a loss claim on my order and if I did not receive my camera on Thursday, 5/6/10, they will give me full refund. Will see if I receive my camera or refund... ================================================= Today's update (5/4/10): Received tracking information today. It was sent by Fedex Express Saver and the estimated arrival time is 5/7/10. I finally understand what 7-9 ground shipping means! It means you have to wait 7-9 business days before the order will be shipped! "

"Primo Camera clearly uses “bait and switch” sales tactics. I placed an on-line order for a Canon EOS 50D camera package at an attractive price on April 25, 2010. The order was confirmed via email on April 26. I got a call from a Primo sales rep that same day indicating that there was a 3% insurance charge (not indicated on order confirmation), and pressuring me to “upgrade” various parts of the package for almost $800. After a follow-up email and call I eventually agreed to $500 in additions which appeared to have value. I also was told that the package had shipped on April 27, and any cancellation or return would incur a 10% restocking charge (over $200). From shipping labels, the package wasn’t actually shipped until April 28. Upon review of what was actually shipped I found that the retail prices from other vendors for the “added” items were FAR less than the claimed $500. In addition, two items shown on the Primo web site as included in the package were not shipped at all, and verbally claimed to not actually be part of the package. These people are just plain dishonest."
"I would recommend reading the poor reviews before thinking of ordering from this company. There is a common thread. Customer satisfaction and honesty are lacking. Pay the extra money at another site and avoid the headache. Sales force offer things that they cannot deliver and Management is hostile to customers."
"Update - no response from company to 4 emails. Have asked MasterCard to reverse transaction as it was cancelled but they still put through full costs. Waiting to get my money back. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE NOT AN ETHICAL BUSINESS CONCERN.!! THEY MAKE ONLINE SELLING LOOK BAD! Update - Got Primo to cancel order after repeated attempts. They stil have my money and have not returned it to-date or replied to my emails. See below for horror story,. I ordered an Olympus 620 online and got a confirm that the price would be $623 including shipping. I got a call next day from Mark, a sales rep, to say that di not include handling which was another 10% or $60. The camera had reduced by $30 before I confirmed but he refused to give this price to me. I said I could cancel order and re-order at new price. He told me my handling fees would go up so no difference. He also tried to hardsell me a battery which I refused. I asked him to confirm if I would be getting all the free items mentioned on the web. He checked but said I would have to pay $10 shipping This type of selling is like telling a bungy jumper to get back up on the ledge after they have jumped into the sale. These hidden costs are not good business practice. I have sent 2 emails but no response. Never going back. Thanks Nex Tag for suggesting them."

"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE! Do not make the same mistake that I did. Read the reviews and take them to heart. This company will promise you the world and then not follow through on ANYTHING at all. They hard sell you when they "verify your info" and then charge you "required" insurance on your "free shipping". I was supposed to get my order in 7-9 business days and only after MANY emails did I finally get a response that my initial shipment was mailed but since they "were concerned" they would send another shipment via FedEx. Get this though, they sent it 3 day and not even over night. Good customer service right. So by the time I received the package it was 18 days later or 14 business days later. I just want to make sure no one makes the same mistake I did, DO NOT ORDER FROM Primo Cameras. "
"went online, did extensive research& picked a Nikon D5000. spent another week checking Ebay, Amazon, etc. Found Primocameras under Nextag& other listings. Went on price, they were close to others only slightly lower, same freebies and same free shipping. Was not really in any hurry so 7-9days wasnt bad. THEN the trauma begins. "James" called on easter Sunday for the battery upsell. Got him down some on price&went with it. Said they were closed for passover 2days & saw postings on 4/7/10. went to my account nothing itemized pricewise but items listed individual &total on bottom. Tagged sent out for drop ship. On 4/21/10 I saw nothing of UPS which was their shipper. Tried to call CS & got their endless loop of 20 min Que. Hung up after 20 mins. got home &started Emails, all bounced back undeliverable. E adress for looks only. Called salesman got voicemail. Next step was to call credit card ,file fraud complaint. Two days later got Email saying shipped FEDEX 4/23/10. Arrived next day,all items promised there. Battery was Zeikos not Nikon but was much higher AH. still not worth what charged. Relieved to get my correct order. Later went to Nikon to register product & found it was grey market ,not eligable for extended warrenty, which I never buy anyway. GOOD THING. Save alot of grey hair &buy elsewhere "
"Placed a order with Primo Camera for a Sony HDR-CX110 camera April 12 and receiver it as described April 23. Very pleasant to deal with and very good prices. Would definitely purchase from them again."
"Well I ordered my camera on 4/09/10 and I got the free shipping which they say they deliver within 1-2 days after processing and then I would have to wait another 7-9 business days for the delivery. Well today is 04/26/10, so you do the math. I called them about my order and they keep giving me different shipping dates. Then when I asked to speak with the manager, he hangs up on me. This is a very unprofessional company, they did not even give me an order number or a shipping confirmation email. I really regret spending money with them and warn anyone who even considers. They have you think they are the cheapest and then they contact you 2 days after you placed your order to try to sell you more stuff. They told me the battery coming with the camera was a 30 min battery and had a limited warranty. So I ended up getting the 4 hr battery and warranty and by the time you do all that you are paying more for the camera then the original price. So go either to your local camera shop or buy from a more reputable company. They are very unprofessional and if you do not take my word for it, you will see for yourself."
