posted Apr-06-2011 “Please do not read this rating and hesitate to purchase from us. Instead, please read this rating and take it as an example of how not to handle a television delivery from a freight company. This TV was delivered on 2/4/2011. We got a call from the customer 20 days later (verging on 3 weeks), stating that he had just opened the TV that day and found that it was damaged. Apparently he was waiting for some other components to arrive from other sellers.
The problem is that freight companies only give 48 hours to report damage (concealed). Concealed damage is something that cannot be noticed until the TV is taken it is clearly listed on our website that inspection needs to be done at time of delivery, and if not within 48 hours. After this time, the freight company's insurance has no liability on products. We have opened a claim, and it has been denied. We will continue to fight for this customer until they will not allow us to reopen it. We always stand behind our customers. The issue here is that he is asking us to take a complete loss because he failed to complete the inspection. You do not need a receiver or speaker system to see if a TV is damaged or to plug in the TV and see if it works. In the eyes of an insurance company, there are too many things that could have happened to that TV after delivery. There are simply too many variables. We would have to prove that he or someone at his location did not break the TV in order for them to approve a claim. Especially since the paperwork which he signed states, "I have fully inspected the contents of this package, and certify that it is free and clear of any damage".
Please make sure that if you order a television from us that it is inspected with the driver there. If there is any concealed damage that was not visible at time of delivery, it must be reported within the 48 hour window. We do not deserve this rating, but can understand why he has left it. We can certainly sympathize with him, but cannot honor his request for replacement. We are not thieves, crooks, or anything he is attempting to portray us as. I have a question to pose to this customer and the RR community, when should the cutoff be for inspection of TVs if not 48 hours? Should it be whenever the customer decides to open it? 20 days, 60 days, one year? I am not being facetious, but I really want to put that out there. We are an honest and trustworthy company, and we strive for excellence. We did everything possible to assist this customer besides taking a $2000 loss. We did absolutely nothing wrong. Please shop with confidence.”
"I placed an order for a TV on the 11th of march and it is now the end of march and I have heard absolutely nothing about my shipping. I have called them multiple times and they said that they have already handed the product to the shipping agency and that it is out of their hands. Well, the shipping agency they use has no tracking number and can not be contacted. They just want you to wait until the shipping company contacts you but it's been 2 and a half weeks now and I still have absolutely no clue where my tv is. They say shipping is 7-14 days. DO NOT BELIEVE IT. It's been 18+ days and I have no idea how many more days I have to wait.
Edit - I received my tv on 4/5. Order was placed on 3/11 and processed on the 3/15. They took exactly 15 business days to deliver the product to me which is 1 day over their promised shipping time. They had to switch to another shipping agency that had a tracking number and that shipping agency was very good. They made the switch on the 3/31 and that agency got to my doorsteps in 5 days. Sadly, they picked it up from new york which means for 2 and half weeks, the original shipping agency did not even begin to move the tv. The product i received is in great shape and there are no problems as of yet with the product. I greatly enjoy the tv that I bought. My only issue is that it took a full 25 days from placing the order to receiving the product. For patient people, I would recommend this site because the price is great and the product is great. Just don't expect it anytime soon. "
