"I was supposed to receive my order today, but have yet to see the order status page change since the initial message about it being processed and that fedex tracking numbers would be available 24 to 48 hours before it arrived. I tried to call the 800 number on their website and I got the busy signal! The busy signal! I do not think I have heard the busy signal since like 1996. After calling back repeatedly I finally got through to a person that told me that she would be able to tell me the status of my order at the end of the business day... Needless to say this was not exactly a satisfying customer service experience."
"poor communication, and I think they forgot to ship the computer. I ordered the computer after hours on the 4th. estimated delivery time of 5-8 business days plus 1-3 days for building. Their estimate was march 15. my guess was the 18th. well it didn't ship until the 18th... although they must have upgraded the shipping because it arrived on the 21st. computer is working great though, and the price was good."
"I've purchased from here before and the orders were somewhat slow but I've I received within a week. This time around I placed the order on 3/16/13 but it is now 3/27/13 and still now FedEx number. I tried to a question about the status of the order but the online return was "there was an error and has been sent to the administrator". So I waited a few days before calling. Called today and the lady said she'd send the request to the WHS and by EOD I'd get an email with the update. Have not seen it. Sent $1100 on 3/16 with no updates. Overall I know the company and I'll get it but am some what dissatisfied."
"not only does my motherboard not read the memory it claimed it did, but the graphics card I purchased doesnt work with the mother board, and it was the one you can select when "building" a computer online!"
"Took 5 days to finally ship the mother board I ordered. The packing label reports that I ordered on 3/18/2013 and that they shipped it 3/19/2013. I actually ordered it on the 3/16/2013. They called to verify my shipping address on the 19th and the tracking number reported that it actually shipped on the 3/21/2013. Ridiculous will never order form them again."
"PortaTech delivered a product that was as advertised and shipped quickly. Computer was well packaged, arrived in the same condition it left their facility. Will buy from them again.Only complaint is with FedEx's delivery time for their FedEx/Post Office joint delivery system. S-L-O-W!!!!"
"Still haven't received the package. It was shipped via FedEx last Friday, but the tracking information just shows the package being picked up, and no further information. I'm sure it'll arrive eventually, but your feedback request arrived before the merchandise."

"I would not recommend buying from PortaTech to anyone. I see that several people had a good experience and I'm happy for them, but my experience has been terrible. It looks like the most common complaint is shipping which is only part of why I am disappointed. I didn't receive the monitor that was supposed to be included with the order. Our bare-bones tower arrived 3 weeks after placing the order (seems it shouldn't have taken that long) and there were no updates on shipping. I called about the monitor and they saw that it was just sitting there and they had forgot to ship it. Neat. I used an old monitor I had to install the OS only to have the computer shut down several times. Turns out the power supply is bad... aren't they supposed to be tested? The 680 watt power supply is low grade and cheap looking - disappointing. Now finally over 1 month after ordering and using the power supply from a different computer, I have a working machine. I understand that not every order is going to work out perfectly and there are going to be mistakes some times but what matters is how the mistakes are dealt with. In my case the I believe a small offering to make things right on the part of Portatech would be worth keeping a customer and not getting a bad review. "
"1st time I have dealt with this company. They built me a very nice computer. Quickly and solidly. This is where the compliments STOP! If you have to substitute a part for whatever reason, you never substitute a lower valued replacement. Especially, an off the wall brand, that I never heard of, that is half the price. Also, they should list exactly what their definition of name brand memory is. The picture on the website is not at all close to what was installed, nor does it cost what they have it listed at. A phone call or email explaining these substitutions would have been appreciated. I build, recommend, and try new sites all the time. So rather than bitch...I just won't shop there again."
