Before you buy try their customer service line. They won't answer and they won't respond to your message. If you try the email customer service they will respond but all the will tell you is they don't have the answer and they will get back to you...........which they never do.
"I have used a number of different covers over the 12 years I've owned my pool. None lasted more than two seasons. I ordered the gold series partly because of the warranty as stated below. I was disappointed to receive the warranty paperwork which states the only things covered under warranty are delamination and seam failure. As everyone who has purchased a pool cover knows, these are not the issues. The bubbles breaking apart and creating a mess in the pool is the issue. Also, the additional $15 for the drainage holes are not worth it. Some assembly required means you pay for five plastic holes and you must measure, cut holes in the cover, and install yourself. I only installed this two days ago, so can't comment on the overall quality of the product
12 gauge Solar Covers are backed by a 3 year warranty. 16 gauge covers are backed by a 5 year warranty. "

"I join the list of folks who have been victimized by the practices of this company. They sent me inferior versions of 2 different pool covers I ordered which were not the same as described on the site. They have not replied to three e-mails, and there is no phone number. I even phoned the distributor/manufacturer of the pool covers, Midwest Canvas,and their customer service agent implied that they were aware of complaints about pooldeals, yet they continue to do business with them. Shameful state of afairs."
"Do not give your hand earned money to this company. This is a guy in New York that takes your money and (occasionally) sends you an inferior product than what you ordered. Do not expect to ever be able to contact anyone. When the complaints pile up he will go "out of business" and restart. What he advertises is NOT what you will receive. Unless you carefully read the label on your product you will never notice until it fails. I paid for a Waterway brand spa pump which is made by an industry leader with great customer service and a full 2 year warranty. When my pump failed 8 months after I got it, I tried to claim the Waterway warranty. HOWEVER, turns out it wasn't a Waterway pump. This was a refurbished model from an inferior company with a crappy warranty. My paperwork says it's a Waterway pump, but the label on the pump says otherwise. Calls and e-mails are not returned and my money is gone. Don't waste yours."
"The absolute WORST and most UNETHICAL company I have ever delt with. I exchanged an item and the compaany refused to give me my refund. After calling numerous times and leaving messages and emailing they finally returned my call only after I sought legal council. They claimed that they never received the item. After providing proof with the UPS tracking order they STILL refused to return it claiming the person that signed for it did not work there. After a month of playing games I put a missing package claim in with UPS I recieved a partial refund (half)a day later. They took out shipping and a restocking fee. Mind you I paid my own return shipping and this was an exchange not a return. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!! "

"emailed and called numerous times to get item. Finally they said that UPS "LOST" the item and we would have to wait another 7 days for our pool cover. I emailed them back telling them to ship overnight at their expense since this was their mistake. Isent this email read receipt. It was read within 5 minutes. Still no response. I will be contacting BBB and Attorney General in New York. Judging from complaints this may be fraud and was never really shipped."
"This is the worst company I have ever dealt with, After 6 b days of Our order still sitting with a waiting to be shipped status I decided to call and see what was going on, (web page stated order would ship 1-3 b days) I couldn't reach anyone, So I left a message, they were quick to respond by Email, stated the order was shipping direct from factory. After 10 b days and still nothing I tried calling again.. Still couldn't reach anyone, After pushing random ext numbers I did reach someone in SALES.. Said it wasn't his job but would try and help.. He came back only to say order was cancelled.. When I asked why and why I haven’t heard anything he stated I DONT NEED TO TAKE THIS SH** and hung up.. I tried there instant message system "Roxy" wrote the order was cancelled because they hadn't heard from factory. I asked what we do now.. I got no response they logged me off.. I logged on again asked why they are still running an add for something they can't produce and if this was a come on add... I got logged off and they locked me out of the site.. THEY STILL HAVE MY MONEY.. POOLDEALS.COM STAY AWAY this may not be a real company "
"Like other reviewers, this is really one of the worst rip-off joints so far encountered. The particulars for me 1) won't accept returns if box is opened (how can you determine if item is defective, what you ordered, etc. w/o opening the box. 2) sent the wrong stuff (cheaper version of what you odered) 3) take forever to respond
"This place is an absolute rip off! Horrible customer service. You CAN NOT and WILL NOT reach a live person. You can get a local listing of 716-404-2804 but it is the same recordings you get when you call the 1-800-768-1049. You can only leave messages and they state they will respond back to you in email. They NEVER respond. I finally found an email address for the "president". Charlie@PoolDeals.com. He said he would fax me the warranty information that I need on a purchase that I just made. Since it has been 16 days since I placed the order and not 14, I have to go through the warranty process--JOKE. My fax machine hasn't sent anything through yet..Oh well, I guess I am a sucker!"
"THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH ON THE WEB!! AND I DEAL WITH A LOT OF WEB COMPANIES. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH THESE IDIOTS ON EITHER THE PHONE OR THE WEB! "I am having trouble reaching DPD pools.. I have emailed and left messages, but no one has bothered to contact me.. I will continue to search for a real phone number and not some stupid recorded message stating they have a wait time over 10 mins etc.. It's just their recorded voice mail.. ALL companies should have a way to reach a live person... I will call the NY Better business office and report them.."
"Don't waste your time. Site states that 95% of orders are shipped the same day. After 8 days, my order was still being "transmitted to warehouse" whatever that means. The customer support is a joke. Once you find a phone number to call, you will never reach a live person and they won't respond to emails throught their customer support center. I cancelled my order through the website but doubt they will ever follow through at this point."
"Use Extremem Caution.. I ordered five items and they delivered four of the items really fast and OK. However, the liner was missing and there was no paper work accompanying the order I received. So, I tried to contact Customer Service to inquire about the missing item, no such luck... They do not offer a phone line into the company??? Good luck finding one and making contact with a human. They do everything via email, I've sent four emails and have not received one reply yet?? They state that all emails will be answered within one business day???..."
"I ordered a spa pump online. I immediately noticed I had a typo in my address.
1. I used the online form to correct my address. No response. 2. 5 days later my order status hadn't changed. I sent another message asking if the item was back ordered. No response. 3. I looked for their phone number on their web page. None is listed. I Googled them up and found them as DPD Pools in Niagara Falls, NY. I called the number and got an automated response saying "Wait times are over 10 minutes. Please use the web to contact us or place your order." I work closely with call centers and this was not reading the queue times - it was a prerecorded message. 4. I did some more Googling and found their fax number. I asked them to cancel the order if they couldn't ship it. I left my email address and phone number. Still no response.
This is amateurish and borderline fraudulent as they advertise that they ship 95% of orders same day. This is hard to believe as they can't even answer a simple question via the only medium they provide.
There is no way I'll ever order from them again, even if they were giving spa pumps away."
