"I read through the previous reviews about Personal Creations and I do agree that their items can be a little pricey (but within reason.) Even with the slightly high prices, I will most definitely shop through their website again.

Two weeks ago (10/31) I ordered two personalized stockings for myself and my boyfriend and was given an expected delivery date of 11/9. On 11/10 I was wondering why my stockings hadn't arrived (worrying that they had been placed in the wrong mailbox as I live in an apartment complex.) When I called customer service, I was greeted promptly and spoke with a very helpful and considerate woman. By the end of the call she had promised that she would find out exactly what was wrong with the order (some shipping error) and would have someone call me back after the weekend. I was pleasantly surprised when I received an email the next week stating that the company (without my asking or getting angry) would be refunding part of my order. Then, a few days later I received an updated ship date (11/16) and a $10 gift card to use on a future purchase. I think it is great customer service for them to do all this without me even asking.

I highly recommend shopping at Personal Creations.

"I know there has been a lot of bad comments, but I feel I should give my experience since it was a good one...Yes there are hidden fees. I was aware of them after I read the terms and conditions. As far as now I believe it's a 2.99 per item personalization fee, plus shipping and handling that is not stated upon checkout. Anyway they accept Paypal if you do not feel confident paying over their website, they send you an immediate receipt via e-mail, and when it leaves their wherehouse they send another e-mail stating it has done so and the arrival expectancy. I don't know about other products, but mine came out on time and it turned out beautiful!! No virus or spam, and no frivolous e-mails. Very happy customer!"

"I ordered a simple, plastic ornament, personalized with my child's name. I was charged $12.99 for the cheap plastic ornament (purchased from China for about 50 cents), shipping was $4.99 (it weighed less than 2 ounces and was shipped snail mail)and there was an additional "care and handling" fee of $3.99 which they snuck into the picture at final checkout. RIPOFF! Go to Amazon.com or Google other merchants and get the same products for 50% cheaper without hidden fees. How do these guys stay in business???"

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. I WISH I HAD SEEN (AND HEEDED) THESE REVIEWS BEFORE I PLACED MY ORDER.

Paid the standard shipping and overnight upgrade (which looked like the total shipping charge until checkout) and a $4.99 "care and handling fee" (which was hidden until checkout) to get a personalized stuffed animal to my boyfriend for his birthday while he was away from home. On his birthday, he receives a throw blanket for Roger and Evelyn's 50th anniversary instead. Who are these people?

I call Personal Creations who initially wants to send me a replacement four days later with no refund whatsoever. After arguing, they still refuse to refund the "care and handling" fee--when there was absolutely no care in the handling of my order at all.

I can't believe the ratings here are so consistently poor. Who knows what their operations look like--it has got to be comical (if you're not the sap customer, of course).

"Ordered a frame 09/12/2012 to be personalized for a friends birthday on 09/30/2012. They then come back and say that it won't arrive until 10/17/2012. I call to cancel and they tell me they already have ordered the frame in so its too late. Why if they have the frame coming in, it will take a month to engrave I do not know. They have put a stop on the order but said I may still get charged and that if so it will take 7 days to refund. NOT HAPPY"

"I didn't appreciate that the regular shipping fee wasn't listed, nor did I appreciate the 2.99 fee for personalization that wasn't mentioned anywhere I could easily see. However, my item was delivered on the estimated shipping date, and I even recieved an email from Personal Creations saying it had been delivered. My transaction went over smoothly (though they seemed to have an issue charging me... they took it off my debit then put it back on a couple days later). Also, the item looked GREAT! exactly like the picture and beautifully engraved :)"

"While this website has nice products, their return policy is not so nice. I bought sister bracelets--1 big sister, 1 little sister, with our initials. The website was not very obvious in advertising the fact that these bracelets are for infants/toddlers. I called to try to return them, and initially they said I could not get any money back because there was nothing wrong with the bracelets themselves. When pushed, they offered me half my money back. This is not a good way to do business, especially for an online retailer. Moreover, they wouldn't take the bracelets back, so now I'm stuck with two child-sized bracelets with specific initials. Overall, a decent product, but very unsatisfactory customer service."

"I just got off the phone with the Personal Creations.com customer service rep after arguing that I shouldn't have to pay a personalization fee since it was not stated at the beginning of the order. They took care of one of the fees, but really.... Its not the $6.00 that I was blindly charged for, it is the principal of that matter. Personal Creations needs to be up front in their online ordering process. I will NEVER be shopping at this site again. Plus, I didn't even want the personalization, I just wanted the stockings."

"Horrible company..sounds like I have the same problems as other people. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!! Placed a order for stockings on December 10th. Paid the express shipping and they said I would see it before 12/22/11. Nothing showed up. said they lost the order and offered to refund the shipping. Then they called back the next day and said they would backordered and would refund all of my money. So 2 weeks later still no refund. I've called 5 times and they keep telling me the refund is in process...what a joke they took my $100 and held onto it for a month. Next step is calling my bank and trying to get it refunded through my debit card."

"Well, my experience ordering from their site has not been pleasant, I can only hope the product arrives and is correctly personalized.

First, this site is a great bait-and-switch setup. The entire store is personalized items, but NOWHERE do they tell you that they charge $3 for adding the personalization, you won't see it in your order total until you get through the entire checkout process!! Very dishonest practice. The site also seems to be very poorly maintained in terms of available stock. Again, you will get almost all the way through checkout and then it will decide that you can't have the item you spent all that time personalizing and going through checkout to buy. Really unnecessary and shows a poorly programmed and maintained site. I almost quit at this point, this is not the type of store I want to allow anywhere near my credit card, but at least they offered PayPal so since I had a Living Social coupon to use, proceeded to complete the order, we'll see if they do better on the fulfillment side of things!!

"I ordered 2 picture frames on dec 10th and was told they would be delivered by the 21st. I called the company on the 22nd when I still hadn't received my order and was told it was on it's way. I still hadn't received it on the 26th and called them again to find out the product was no longer available! I was charged 2 weeks prior and never was contacted by the company. DO NOT use this company!!!"

"DO NOT EVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! This was the first (and last) time I attempted to order from them. I placed my order on 12-9-11 with a GUARANTEED delivery date of 12-23-11 (tomorrow!). I have been calling them almost every day for the past week for status and keep being told that the item is waiting for shipment and will definately arrive no later than 12-23-11. I received an email from them this morning advising me that my order is on backorder until 1-27-2012!!!!!! This was supposed to be xmas gift! I just called them to tell them I want this order cancelled and my credit card charged (why on earth did they process the charge to my acct when the item was not available?!). This is the best part: they are telling me that since it is not their policy to charge before shipment, that I must be mistaken or my bank processed their "hold" incorrectly and until I can provide them proof that I was charged they will not be able to issue a credit!!! Unbelievable! This company sucks! Do not order from them. Yeah, some of their items are really cool but there are so many other companies you can order from or walk into store that have neat things as well. Stay clear from them!"

"Will NEVER purchase from them again!! They kept a hold on my account for a mth AFTER the order was canceled. Called many times, asked to speak to manager..everytime I got the run around. I canceled the order b/c I entered a coupon code that said my order was 86.20 whenever I placed it...got my receipt via email 5 mins later and they charged me 121.40. called immediately and told them about this and they would not let me use the original coupon code I had just entered 5 mins earlier, so I had to cancel the whole order. The only way I FINALLY received my refund was that they bank put a 30 day expiration date on the hold. Personal creations never did follow through with the refund! shame on them and their management staff!! Never Again will I purchase anything from them!"

"I wish I could pick a 1/2 star instead of 1. I am extremely disappointed in this website. I placed two orders with them and 2 days later got a call that one of the items was out of stock so they had gone ahead and cancelled my WHOLE oder. After spending some 30 minutes on the phone, the guy assured me that my other order is fine. 2 more days, and they email me saying that my remaining order was cancelled as well because of an International billing address. My issues with them -
1) Why give me the flexibility to enter internation billing address if you cannot suppoer it?
2) Why take my phone number if you are not goign to call me to see if I want to use an alternative US card instead
3) Why not update "out of stock" status on your website? All reputable websites do this
4) If there is an issue with the billing address, why did it take you 4 days to figure that out?
I have a busy life and during holiday season, setting me back 4 days (not to mention all the time that I spent on their website trying to pick the right gift) is a LOT. Now not only do I have to start from scratch, but my family might not receive their gifts on time.

"Very deceptive--they charge for personalization but don't tell you, and you have no way of not getting items personalized if you don't want to be charged.

I was almost ready to place my order and was trying to see how much I was being charged for shipping, since nowhere did it tell me what the shipping charges would be. I found it in very very tiny print on the 'confirm my order' page, and was shocked to see I was being charged $2.99 for personalization.
