"Please, I beg of you, do not needlessly aggravate yourselves with this company. It is ALWAYS the same sad story with discount autoparts E-stores. You order an "in stock item", you don't hear a thing from them for a week other than one "processing" notice. You make a call and they can't give you an update but promise to get back to you later today or tomorrow at the latest. And I imagined you guessed it by now, they never get back to you. You call again and you get the same uninformative "we'll get back to you" response. It always ends up being the same disappointing experience. Don't do it!"

"What a fiasco! Ordered a new catalytic converter, they sent the wrong one. Then, over a week later, I'm still trying to return it. Conversations degraded into shouting matches, and I'm still stuck with a bad $320 part. Thanks, Parts Train! I feel like I'm being rail-roaded!!!"

"I ordered a fog lamp assembly for a Tahoe on a Thursday afternoon. On Friday afternoon I received a call from Parttrain stating that they were trying to find the part but it may take up to a week and did I still want it. I said "yes". On Sunday I received an email that my payment had been approved! How does a $44.00 charge on someones credit card rate an exclamation point? Per the original email my card would not be charged until the part shipped. So...... I am assuming taht they found it and it is on it's way to me. Wrong, After waiting until Wednesday for an email with a tracking number and not receiving one I called customer service and was told that the part had not shipped but that they were still looking for it. ???????????? but you charged my card??????? You said you would only do that when you shipped the part???????? when did you lie to me????? Of course that CSR had no answer for that. I cancelled the order and was told it could take up to a week for the credit to show up on my credit card account. No biggie. Then, today, 24 hours later I get an email telling me that they tried to cancel it but that they couldn't. Bogus. Do not buy from these people. They don't know their inventory levels and customer service is a joke. I buy a lot of parts and accessories online. This will be the last time it will be from partstrain."

"What a terrible experience! I ordered 2 parts from Parts Train because of what the reviews and price dictated. One part was perfect and fit no problems the other one ??????

I tried it and it did not fit. I have done all my own car repairs for year so it is pretty easy for me to tell if a part is going to work or not, even though I'm treated like an idiot by their customer service department.

Talking to customer "no service" we discovered that the part in the box was not the part the box label said it was. So they promised to send another one but first open the box to verify that the correct part was in the box. Well they didn't check because the second part was also wrong!

Once again they promised to check but of course wrong part for the third time? After all that I had to fight with them to get the last return label and then I was forced to drive to the other side of the county to a FedEx store to send the 3 boxes back, and with that the FedEx employee told me that they don't ship returns they go through the US Postal Service? Why was I forced to drive? The post office is 2 blocks from my house? Why don't they pick the boxes up, its not my fault they delivered the wrong parts?

I rate them ZERO for their dishonesty in telling me that the parts would be checked before shipping and the customer no service employee that gave me his real name and said that they all use made up names when customers call in?

This whole process has taken 30 days and I still don't have my refund!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I ordered some Lifters. This company had them on b/o and would not ship for up to 3 weeks. They still charged the credit card. How can anyone charge a card for parts that did not ship. You hit the card at the time the parts leave. Then it takes them 1 week to give money back. DO NOT BUY FROM PARTSTRAIN.COm"

"On Sept 28-2011 I made the HORRIBLE mistake of ordering a fuel pump from partstrain.com. I placed the order at 6:18pm PDT. At 7:45 PDT the same day I contacted PT to cancel the order. The customer service rep. advised me he would place a cancelation on it immediately, and I would receive an email within 24hrs letting me know if they were able to stop the shipment. The next day (24hrs later) I had not received any email concerning my cancelation. So I called the company again. This time I got a rep. that explained that PT had sent an email to the parts house, but hadn't heard back from them. And it would be 48hrs (not 24) before they would send me an email letting me know if they had stopped the shipment. 48hrs later and I still hadn't gotten an email from PT, I called again. This time I got another rep. who proceeded to explain to me that the parts house was waiting on the tracking # for the part I tried to cancel. I explained to the rep. that I didn't want the part and for them not to ship it. He stated that it was out of his hands and the parts house would send me a letter with a tracking # on it. I asked the rep, "no matter what I say or do, you’re going to ship the part. RIGHT?". He replied "yes". Then the same rep. told me, the minute I receive the tracking # to contact them and they would send me a return shipping label. The following day, sure as shootin, I got an email with a tracking # stating that my part had been shipped. When I received the tracking # I contacted the company again as I was asked to do. At this point, the rep for parts train explained that he was unable to send me a return shipping label due to the fact that I needed an RA#. I asked him if he had one, and he said no but I would receive one in another email. The next day, sure enough and right as rain, I got an email with an RA#.
Now this is where it gets down to the rat killin. Within 2 hrs. I placed an order with parts train and canceled it. No matter what I could say or do to cancel the order they were intent on shipping it to me. Parts train charged me $75.76 for the part. $10.87 shipping. $6.47 tax and $2.61 handling fee. For a grand total of $95.71. Now I receive a letter with an RA#, PLUS letting me know they are not going to refund the tax or the shipping or the handling charge. BUT they are going to charge me a $7.58 restocking fee. So. By dealing with parts train and spending $95.71 I will receive $73.67. All due to the fact that they were unwilling to cancel the order less than 2 hrs. after it was placed. I lost $22.04 just for calling parts train and placing an order. And now I see at the bottom of the email containing my RA#, it can take up to 4 weeks to receive my $73.67 refund.
They are nothing more than on line thieves that hate to give a refund SO BAD, that they are willing to risk having people write letters like this one. Todays date is Oct. 4-2011 and the part won't arrive until the 7th. In one of my emails they state that you have 30 days to return the product if you're unhappy. In another email from parts train they state you have 21 days. Either way, NO MATTER WHAT. If you deal with crooks you will get robbed. I delt with crooks and I got robbed.
WHATEVER PART YOU NEED, PLEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH PARTS TRAIN!

"Do Yourself a favor, before you purchase anything from these people, go visit "autoanything.com Parts train claims 1 year price match...DON'T believe it for a second. They would not match a price for a Flowmaster exhaust for me. This is a copy and paste from the E-mail they sent me after I found lower price at AutoAnything.com "We regret to inform you that we cannot process your request for price matching for Part # F1317345, Flowmaster Exhaust System - Flowmaster Force II since we cannot beat the competitor's price. However, we can provide you a better deal of $ 290.00 with free shipping and handling to 48 U.S. Continental States only." "
