"I cannot believe the shoddy service exhibited by this company. My son's 180 GB Zune player, approximately 1 year old, froze up and we looked online for companies that provided repair service. I contacted PDA, filled out the on-line order form and followed their instructions for shipping at a cost of about $25. At no time did the company indicate that parts would be a problem for such an 'old' device. Weeks later I contacted their customer service rep Kendall to inquire as to the repair status. She said that a tech would e-mail me with the info. Never happened. I called again and this time was told the hold button and mainboard needed replaced to the tune of $150. So I authorized repairs and gave them a CC# which I know totally regret. I'm not feeling to comfortable giving out that info to such a low-life company. Weeks later no Zune player, no word, nothing. This time I contact them and Kendall gives me a line that they can't get parts and gee, shucks, let's just mail the Zune back to y'all unrepaired. So now we're in July and I replied no thanks, get the parts and please fix 'er up ASAP. Weeks go by. I inquired again last week. Today I got an e-mail that the Zune was being mailed out, unrepaired, and gee, how nice that they aren't charging me return shipping. Taught my son a real valuable lesson on how to conduct business honestly. Oh yeah, their Web site still invites customers to send in their broken Zune players. This company should be avoided at all costs. I wish I had read these reviews earlier."
"STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Sent in a Nexus One for new LCD screen. Quoted 1 week and $160.00. After three months of telling me that they were waiting for parts I demanded they return my phone. For the next several weeks they refused to return my equipment and told me that the janitorial service had thrown away several parts. New parts would be ordered and the phone repaired in 10 business days. Three weeks later no parts.It should be noted that the new LCD is in stock with several companies online. Also 52 complaints with the BBB over the last 36 months.RIPOFF Artists!"
"I sent my iPod Nano in to repair a broken backlight. I was told it needed a new LCD screen to repair the problem. After six weeks I was told that the new LCD screen did not fix the problem and the main board would have to be replaced (a main board is more expensive than a new iPod). I told them to just return my iPod because it still worked when I mailed it to them and have yet to receive it. It has now been over 12 weeks and I have received no calls or e-mails regarding my iPod. I have attemted to call and email them on several occasions with no response. One of the their email accounts was full so the massage was automatically returned to me. BEWARE of this company. I would find somewhere else to send your electronics, especially if you want them returned to you!!! "AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!I actually sent in the Palm Pilot in October of last year and have been going back and forth with them for 6 MONTHS!!!! I have forced them to look at it 4 additional times and it is now 6 MONTHS LATER AND MY DEVICE IS STILL NOT WORKING. "I am convinced this company is FRAUDULENT. I ordered LCD screen for Garmin GPS. Paid $110. They sent it to me and it did not fit. I sent back my Garmin with screen and asked them to fix it. They received it late November 2009. I made umteen calls to inquire about the repair. I kept getting the run around. "still waiting for part". "should be getting part in soon". They are a scam company. They should be looked into by some police department or investigative company or something. They said they would send unit back to me- still have not received it. I am now looking at almost 4 months. Who knows what they have done with the unit. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM COMPANY!!!! STAY CLEAR FROM THEM. email@example.com "
"To summarize: they don't seem to be entirely fraudulent, but they are very definitely unprofessional.Here's what happened to me: I sent in an iPaq with a note saying what was wrong with it. One week later they send me an e-mail saying that it was just the battery and they would replace it for $54, seeming to miss the rest of the problem entirely. I ask them about it; no response. I call and they say they'll check it, that the audio hardware is problematic and they'll take care of it free of charge. Two weeks later and nothing. I e-mail again, no response again. Then I get a new diagnosis of $55. Odd, but okay. They disappear for another three weeks and then I get a quote of $225! I respond with my concern and forward it to all their e-mail addresses and get a response from one of them. Their tone is rather snappy and rude, and after asking me what *I* thought they should be charging me for a PDA as screwed up as the one I'd sent it, I suggested that after multiple diagnostic gaffs it should not be very much above cost, lest they startle the customer and lose their confidence. I've never done business with them before, so at this point I'm half wondering to myself whether they aren't trying to scam me. They claim that they would already be losing money on the repair but that they would not fix it for free (losing money already but won't do it for free... wait a minute, aren't those two things mutually exclusive?) and that $200 was as low as they would go.Funny thing is, the price of these parts isn't that hard to find, and it turns out that you would be able to cut a profit at THAT price even if you bought a used iPaq off ebay and ganked the mainboard. Assuming of course you kept the overhead low -- such as by cutting corners on customer service, as PDAsmart seems to be doing.For a second there I thought that maybe *I* was the one bring this situation about, but if the other reviews here are any indication, PDASmart has made poor customer service a consistent habit that nearly anybody can enjoy. And all you have to do is send them your broken device.Avoid."
"I sent in my PDA for repair. Received an email stating that they received it; was quoted a price for part (mainboard) & labor which I gave the go-ahead about a month later. Emailed about a month later about status from when they received it; was told that the sales dept. was waiting on the mainboard which should be in that week. Once received, it would be shipped out immediately. A month and half later, still no PDA; emailed again, no response for about three weeks. Emailed again was told: "The Sales manager does not have an ETA to give me. At this point, I'm not sure how much longer it might be. We can hold the order, or ship it back unrepaired. I apologize about the length of time and inconvenience it has caused."-(Kendall) Definitely unprofessional. Would not deal with this company again considering I have been waiting four months with no idea as to when I will get it back or if it will be fixed. Pretty sad when companies take advantage of your needs. Must be nice to be one of the lucky ones to have them come through with what you want. All I ask is for them to let me know if there's a delay, why the delay, & when I can expect to get my PDA back fixed; not give me the runaround. For all I know they sold it & are waiting for a new crop of bad ones to come in to use instead. Even with the "promise" of not giving them a good rating or not recommending them affected them. It's really too bad!!!"
"I ordered an iphone lcd expedited service and got what I ordered. I shipped my iphone to pdasmart.com and they turned it same day and returned back overnight. What a great company. Thanks again. Marissa"
"Ordered 2 replacement batteries for my Zaurus. They billed the VISA card 2 days after the order was placed and never shipped the goods. They kept emailing, saying parts are on order, should be here next week, will ship as soon as they come in, blah blah.UPDATE:Now 6 onths later despite several inquiries, they still have not shipped any product and have not issued refund.This outfit appears dishonest.After 3 months I demanded a refund. They said it would be issued "within a couple of business days." 2 weeks later I still have not received refund or goods I ordered. Stay away from these people. 0 stars from me."
"I AM BEGGING ALL OF YOU!!! THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUDDDThey profit off of shipping and handling and their diagnostic charges ARE HIGGGHHH!!! They FAKE the repair and charge you for cleaning and when you send it back they say its a mainboard problem. I have lost $150 and it has been four months and I have not received my phone yet. "I sent my Treo in for a digitizer replacement on Mar 24th. Today, May 26th I called for the third time and was told, for the third time that they expected the parts "any day now" When I sent it in I had already received a quote for the repair, 15 days after they got the phone I got an e-mail restating the original quote and asking if I wanted it fixed. I replied that I'd already been quoted and actually had expected the phone back by now. A week after that is when the "any day now" phone calls started. If they had a problem getting parts they should have informed me and I could have decided to wait or not, but 2 months plus to fix a phone is unnacceptable"

"I just received my Treo Centro back from PDASmart and I'm so pleased. They replaced the touchscreen. I followed the instructions on their website, the turnaround was quick, and they did exactly what they said you would do! I would use them again."
"I sent a iPod in to PDA Smart to replace the hard drive. They replaced it, returned the iPod to me and less than a week later, the hard drive failed. I know that there is significant early failure in electronics, so I sent it back to them with an explanation, asking that they fix the hard drive again. They returned it, and again within a week, the hard drive failed. So I called them, and told them I wanted a refund. They said to ship the iPod back to them, they would take out their hard drive (which failed) and send me a refund. They took out the hard drive and shipped the iPod back to me, but despite six or seven phone calls and promises to send me a refund right away, six months later I have no refund. They are crooks. They had no intention of ever refunding my money. "
