"I needed an outdated/discontinued motherboard, vintage 2005, a GeForce6100sm-m by ECS. I saw they had an "OEM", that was ok, I needed the part not the cables or manual. It was priced at $71.00, that was ok, shipping was $18.00 for FedEx ground, that was a little pricy. But they had it and I needed it, I ordered late on 7-27-11. I am not a reseller nor a computer repair business, this motherboard was for a relatives computer.
I received it today, Saturday 8-13-11. It was listed on their site as an "OEM" part, but I got the box with the manual, CD, cables. The board looked new, with no signs of wear, it was in an anti-static bag too. I installed it in the computer I got it for and it is working fine, no problems.
Overall I am happy with the service and the product I ordered, the motherboard had been discontinued 5 years ago and pcplanet systems had them. I would do business with them again and recommend them to anybody who asked me.

edit: added order date edit II: added more info for clarification, "I am not a reseller nor a computer repair business" "
This company shipped a SALVAGED motherboard that they sold as NEW. Then refused to take it back. Offered to send it back to them since I had already charged back to the credit card, and they stated that they would send us to collections.
Company individual who was corresponding was rude and would not even provide his name. Would not even cancel the motherboard that hadn't even shipped yet. Should have looked for reviews before I purchased, but didn't. My mistake, what a JOKE of a 'Company' - SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TIME!"
"I ordered a mother board over a month ago.I have put in several 'cases' through the online help pages. The email I get says I will be contacted in 24 hours, which I never have. Unable to contact PCPlanet, no response from them. It looks like I'm going to take a loss on this one.
For those that read this, stay away from this company, they are not worth it!"
"I am in agreement with the complaints posted on this site. I ordered a motherboard on 6/25 (approved 6/28), and requested information on shipment July 8 through their email address. I knew the product wouldn't be in by July 8, but I had fully expected to at least receive a tracking number. The email I received in response stated that my product was in the shipping department and would be sent out early the next week (the week of July 11) and the shipping department would update my account with the tracking number. This is July 21 evening and my account has still not been updated- I have not received a tracking number. I emailed again on July 12 evening to request further information on the order, and the company hasn't even responded to that request to date- 7 business days later. My product is not listed out of stock and does not state "contact a sales rep" next to it. Rather, as PC P Systems likes to say, it "clearly states" the product will be shipped to me in 2 to 8 business days. Even on the outside of that, say 8 days, plus let's give UPS 10 days (which it never takes them that long) to ship. Tomorrow should be my ultimate date of receipt (I counted Saturdays for UPS, because they work on Saturdays) would be tomorrow, and I haven't even received a tracking number yet!!!
No one is ever available on their live support. No one answers either phone number. Before I shopped their company, I checked their reviews and must have hit the "rose colored glasses" filter, because while I did see mixed reviews, there was a balance between positive and negative reviews. Now when I check again, the majority of the reviews are very negative and sound exactly like mine. In my last email I even stated I would like a response because I was not confident in ordering from them in the first place because of the mixed reviews I found. I thought that this may stir some commitment to customer satisfaction, but it did not.
Very shameful to see that they are quick to answer customer posts here with unprofessional responses that put all the blame on the consumer. They should use that time to answer their phones, emails, and to actually fill customer orders in a timely manner.
I have the documentation from my bank and your company stating when I placed my order, when the order was approved and when you were paid. My dates are correct. By the way, while I actually have you, any chance on getting that tracking number? If not, a refund of $200 dollars is due promptly.
3rd response: Post it there, then- I've been waiting for that since 6/28.
4th response: I wouldn't be posting this here if you answered my emails or if you answered your phone. Has my product been shipped? If it has, post my tracking number in my account. If it has not, I demand a refund in full, now. "
"Please DO NOT order from PC Planet Systems. I, like so many others, have been ROBBED by this shady company. I ordered a motherboard on 6/24, and after 3 weeks still hadn't recieved my product. I contacted the seller, who hadn't even billed me yet, although they claimed that my credit card was "authorized" OK in the email, and the seller never said when they would ship my item. I requested a refund, to which they PROMPTLY replied that they did NOT give refunds. So I requested they not charge my card at all since it hadn't been billed yet, and they said they would charge me 30% restocking as well as a shipping charge even though they hadn't even shipped my item yet. As it sits now, they are essentially holding my credit card information ransom and threatening to bill me either the full amount or 30% restock fee, and I still have no information that my item was ever shipped or that they ever plan to ship it. I have repeatedly informed them I plan on contacting my card issuer in this matter as they cannot rightfully charge me after they've violated their terms of service, which state total delivery times will not exceed 10 days!"
"The absolute worse company to do business with. It feels like this company is 1 moron working out of his parents basement. I placed my order on 5/8/11 before I read the reviews. Bad mistake! on 6/8/11 I sent pcplanetsystems an email asking about status of my order. They responded on 6/9/11 stating that my order would be shipped by the middle of the next week. Guess what it is now july 2 and still no motherboard and they haven't responded to my latest emails. Avoid this joke of a company at all costs
well what do you know! They will not respond to a email, but jump quickly at a review. So lets review their reponse. They say I don't understand the time frame in their ad, the ad says 5-8 days until they receive and then ship, I waited almost 2 months until I complained. And then they say they refunded and canceled the order. Well just this morning the order on their website was still active and my credit card was still charged. This company is just a complete waste of time and oxygen
Wow! Boo Hoo I have been banned from a paying for, but not getting what I order, from a fraud of a company. That is going to really make me feel bad. Oh wait, I am over it already. You guys are really pathetic!
Since PC Planet seldom responds to emails, I have never received any notice that my order was canceled. When I go to their website it still lists my order as approved. I called my credit card company and they have no records of any refund. I think it is time to take this complaint to a higher level."
They will not let me cancel an order for stock they do not have.
I am disputing the credit card charge and according to them they have turned me over to their legal department and have place my companies name on some list that says not to do business with us."
"I have just had a HORRIBLE experience with this company. I reviewed the other posts on this site and it appears everyone else has received the exact same treatment. I am more than happy to provide the details of our experience to this extensive list, but I assure you they are very similar to those you have already read.
My 1st email:
"To Whom It May Concern:
We placed an order on 5/26/2011 and it has still not been received. The reference number is 10702. Please advise when this part will arrive. It is for a customer who is not happy about the length of time the shipping is taking."
PC Planet's Reply:
"Hello
The time frame for that product to ship is clearly stated in the products page (5 to 8 business days) it has been transferred from our warehouse in China already and should be shipped out to you by mid week,. The product you ordered is a discontinued product from the US Market several years ago and that is the only way to gathered and ship, you have placed the order on 05/26 and it was processed on 05/30, at the moment your order is shipped, our shipping dept will update your order status and post tracking information in your account."
I feel 'clearly stated' is only a matter of opinion. However, I did review the site again and it did state 5-8 business days so I moved forward to what was most important, receiving the item.
My 2nd email: "I do not see a tracking number on the website. Could you please provide me a tracking number. This is for a customer order and I need to give them an arrival date."
PC Planets reply: "That unit takes 5 to 8 business days to be shipped out to you, we processed your order as mentioned earlier on 05/30 it will be shipped out to you within 2/3 business day, at that moment our shipping dept will update your order status and post tracking information in your account."
My 3rd email: "The order was placed 5/26. Today makes the 8th business day, and it will still be 2-3 more days for it to even be shipped? Once it is shipped what is the ETA?"
I feel this is a reasonable question to ask. The order hadn't even been shipped after 8 business days.
PC Planets Reply: "We have processed your order on May 30th not the 26th that is date you placed you order, business days counts at the moment we review and process your order."
I know for sure that this was NOT stated on their site. I do not know of ANY business that the business days start when they review and process the order. I have always counted business days from the point of transaction. At this time I felt it was time to loosen the professionalism and just be blunt.
My 4th email: "I don't believe your site clearly states when the business days start. After this order we will no longer be doing business with you.'
PC Planets reply: "If the time frame is not suitable for you or you are not happy with our service, we can cancel your order right away and issue a refund, there is a lot of customers in waiting list for that product."
I never even mentioned canceling this order as you can see. You can also see in my initial email the reason I was concerned was because our business relationship with our customer is very important to us.
My 5th email: "Our customer has been waiting and waiting, I NEVER mentioned canceling this order!"
My 6th email: "Please provide your name and/or ID number, the name of your direct supervisor, and a contact phone number he/she can be reached."
At this time I had determined my professionalism was running low because of the way this was being handled. It was best for me to request to speak to a superior.
PC Planets reply: "We are the Sales Dept of PC Planet and we take direct decisions about all the orders received, let us know."
Now I'm completely shocked! I would never imagine responding to a customer in this way.
So I try again. My 7th email: "Okay, if there is a complaint about the Sales Department who is that escalated to? Are you not able to provide your name?"
I understand if he/she doesn't want to provide their name, however they should provide a superiors contact information.
I also added an 8th email for clarification: "And, I don't understand what you mean by "Let us know". What decision needs to be made?"
PC Planets reply: "Sir I am not sure what you need, we have already answered all your questions, also we offered you an order cancellation if you are not happy with our service, we will not keep replying your emails since we have hundreds of emails that are equal important as yours, please let us know what you need otherwise when your product ships you will receive an email and tracking information posted in your account."
Now I feel pushed to the side. Now I'm getting desparet for this part. 9th email:
"It's Miss. I ASKED FOR YOUR SUPERIORS CONTACT INFORMATION. You did NOT answer my question at all. You seem to be misreading everything I have written. You even ASSUMED a canceled order when I NEVER mentioned it a single time.
Just ship the product ASAP is all I ask. You don't have to respond anymore I understand you will not escalate this issue to any of your superiors and are clearly not interested in providing a positive customer experience in any way. I will simply escalate this to the BBB so your superiors can get this message."
PC Planets reply: "We are going to cancel your order, you are being disrespectful with us, we reserve the right to accept or deny any order, please go ahead and contact the better business bureau we will reply there, your order is being cancelled now and you should receive an email confirmation of that, WE WORK REALLY HARD TO PROVIDE OUR CUSTOMERS WITH PRODUCTS THAT NO ONE ELSE IS ABLE TO GATHER AND WE STRIVE IN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WE PROVIDE, We have not misread or ignore any of your emails we just simply replied to your questions.
Your order is now cancelled
Joshua
Manger (Pc Planet Systems Sales Dept)
PC Planet Systems"
I attempted to call this company several times and only ever received a voice mail.
Now I will tell you a little bit about myself. I worked in customer service for the last 10 years. I was a call center quality manager for 2 years. I have to say Joshua has provided the worst customer experience I have ever seen and is not concerned with providing or communicating a resolution to his customers. He did not exhibit any good customer service skills. These basic skills if not learned from childhood should have been taught in training.
I see that the responses on this site from PC Planet are the same I received in my email. I don’t anticipate a positive helpful response, and will likely get another response that justifies their ‘side’ of the story. I hope someone other than Joshua reads this post and can respond in a professional manner. All I ask is that someone cares. There is no need for name calling or unprofessional childish bickering."

"Here is the exact last email response to my courteous status-check over my order:
Sent: Friday, May 20, 2011 11:49 AM To: Info@pcplanetsystems.com Subject: Re: Pc Planet Systems Live Support
"Okay, it clearly says on your site: NOTE: DISCONTINUED ITEMS ARE SHIPPED WHEN AVAILABLE AND CAN TAKE UP TO 6 BUSINESS DAYS TO BE SHIPPED. Up to six business days to be shipped! I ordered my discontinued motherboard on April 26. We are about hit the one month mark, and it still hasn't been shipped. On top of that, my last email was never returned, and simply ignored.
I'm not trying to be rude--I just want some idea of what is going on. I have a customer waiting for this, and I quoted him the info off your site and emails many times, and now I look like a liar.
Would you please--I'm being polite--let me know what is going on, so that I can relay different information to the customer? I tried to call, but all I got was a voicemail...and I'm starting to feel fearful that you have stolen my money. (What else could I think, after being ignored and lied to so many times?)
Please let me know the status of my order that was placed nearly a month ago."
---------------------------------------------------------- Here was their response:
"We are canceling your order and refunding your credit card, we are tired of people who do not understand what they are ordering and how hard is to get the product that NO ONE ELSE IN THE US IS ABLE TO GATHER, you should receive your refund within 4 to 5 business days, also We have the right to forward your name to our legal dept and other competent legal authorities if you do not retract yourself about the comment you made (we are stealing your money), you have used us to make a profit for you when in reality we offer products to have our customer's computer systems restored not to have someone else reselling our products, if you wanted that then you should have applied with us for a Company account. If we do not receive a retraction to your statement within 48 hours we will take action.
Thank you,
PC Planet systems"
I have given them a chance to ship the package that they promised they would so very long ago. If they do not do their job correctly, then I strongly URGE YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY.
Here is their last email to me regarding my ealier review:

AND MY RESPONSE:
"Hmmm, you are sharing my personal information with other companies for the wrong motives. I'm pretty sure that is unjustified slander. I doubt that is legal. I'll check. Also, I only printed the exact email you sent me. You made yourself look bad--I had nothing to do with it. And I've got a long, extensive, perfect history from ordering from other companies such as ebay, tigerdirect, newegg, amazon etc. I was not difficult, nor was I ever. In fact, you are continuing to prove what a horrible and unethical company you are. And I will post this email too.""

"STOP! DO NOT USE THIS VENDER!! I ordered a motherboard and they never shipped the product and have not refunded the money!!!! Their web site says they ship in 5 to 8 business days. IT IS A LIE. The one response I got said:" Hello not sure, what do you mean with where is the card? your order as explained in our website is coming from our warehouse in China and it is scheduled to be shipped out to you this wednesday" That was sent to me on 25 April (14 days after ordering). It is now 19 May (30 days after ordering) and I still do not have motherboard. I SAY AGAIN: "DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!"
PC Planet Systems responded to this review. If I am so far off base, why do so many reviews say the same thing? Here is what they did not say:
I sent this message after 3 WEEKS and no delivery information from PC Planet Systems "It is now MAY 4 and still no part! Please email me immediately with a delivery date and tracking number. If I do not hear from you, I will have to assume you are not honoring your commitment and contact the credit card company to reverse the charges for this purchase."
PC Planet Systems: DID NOT CONTACT ME, DID NOT CONFIRM A DELIVERY DATE, AND DID NOT SEND A TRACKING NUMBER. I heard nothing from them at all. As for the charge back that is also a lie. By CREDIT CARD RULES you cannot start a charge back until 30 days past the delivery date. Therefore, I am still waiting to get my money back from this horrible company. "

"scam artists. you will not receive your product. they will not reimburse you. if you feel like giving your money away and getting nothing in return, send it to me on paypal. at least i'm honest about taking it. they constantly make excuses. they never provide a tracking number while telling you that your product shipped already. then two weeks of asking for a tracking number will only get you a reply telling you that the item just shipped and there was a problem with their 'suppliers'. don't try to call. you'll only hear the default recording from their $7 radio shack answering machine. i can't believe the one thing i buy from an unknown place without researching first went this badly. stupid me, i guess. do yourself a favor and stay away. i wouldn't hesitate to believe any good review of this company is completely fake. the bad reviews are too widespread and too similar in nature. these people are only there to rip you off.
Well, you could do what you said you'd do and actually email me a tracking number! It's amazing how quickly you reply to public forums the same night something is posted but can't reply to my emails. Have fun posting whatever information you think you need to. But let's be clear: you're absolutely full of sh*t. worst "company" I've ever dealt with.
way to not answer to anything i said. i still have NO TRACKING NUMBER. i could turn backflips nude while shouting curse words and it wouldn't change that fact. i don't have a tracking number because you don't have a tracking number because you never shipped my product. i've waited OVER 40 DAYS!!! first time you told me it was shipped was march 29. then you told me the same thing on the 7th after i asked and asked about it. then, guess what? nothing at all! my order status was finally updated last week to 'shipped'. and that only happened after i filed my complaint with BBB. you got the complaint and miraculously, my status changed. WOW!! what service. but still no product. SCAM!
btw, i guess if i wanted a response from you guys, i should have skipped all the phone calls and emails and came here first. i've spoken more with you here in 1 night than i have in over a month thru phone and email. it's amazing!
and another thing. you've never answered your phone. i decided to call you 5 times a day for a straight week. ALWAYS answering machine. i've tried the chat 'feature' of your website and it's ALWAYS conveniently down. very smart way to SCREW people. never let them talk to a real person. unless, of course, they're spreading word on a website about how you've cheated them."

"My power supply blew and took down my motherboard with it. In order to be able to reuse my CPU and memory I needed to find a compatible replacement motherboard and PC Planet was the only supplier available. I am extremely pleased with them. The motherboard they sent me was used and by the looks it, in an industrial environment. But, it works perfectly. I had to wait slightly over a month for the board to arrive and, by the other postings I've read, this doesn't appear unusual. The status of my order was placed on-line immediately but I became concerned when I saw no status updates for over two weeks (I wasn't sure if the on-line information was simply an order confirmation or if it was truly on-line status). I sent an inquiry to their marketing department and received a nice letter letting me know that the on-line status would be updated as soon as there was any change. I took their word for it and within two weeks I had confirmation of delivery with the UPS Tracking number. It's tough to be patient in today's overnight delivery world but when ordering 5 year old out of production PC parts, I don't think a month is too long to wait."
"I read all the reviews, and worse... the responses from the company, and am worried. I called the # on their site, but only recieved a VERY generic answering machine message.
I made an order on the 8th, and have had no contact since then. When trying to use the contact us form on their site is asks odd unrelated questions and seems like its for scheduling some local service call.
If you are a legit company, perhaps you should: A) answer your phone. B) have a usefull message that doesn't make you sound like a basement operation C) have a legit contact form for your customers D) respont to messages on publicly viewable forums such as this with a bit of tact and professionalisim.
Please contact me via my email address regarding the status of order 10255, since this seems to be the only plausable way of contacting you and getting a response. --------------- UPDATE: Today i received 2 if the 4 printers i ordered with a note on the packing slip that says the other 2 will be shipped ASAP (Discontinued) [nice that they sold me an order they couldn't fulfill with no notice at the time of the order]
They said 5-8 business days, it has now been 15.
Their customer supports reaction to my previous complaint was childish and unprofessional... I will never do business with this company again and reccomend the same to others."
