"I ordered a motherboard that was the wrong one according to the picture. I called and tried to explain to someone, that it was the wrong motherboard, and I am not necessarily an I.T. nor am I the techie type. All I was trying to do is salvage my computer with some help from a friend. The representative from pc planet systems was was rude and didn't want to hear me out. Flat out I asked for a refund. I offered to ship the product back at my own expense in the original packing that it came in. I have worked in customer service for over 10 years and worked in the community for 15 years. I sent some emails to them as well and never got a response back. There is no service in customer service with this company. Read the other comments here as well. They tell you the same thing. Stay away from dealing this company. Now I am out $120 and a useless computer part. Do business with newegg or tigersdirect. Much better. Pc PLanet Systems will take you for your money and run."
"I ordered a motherboard in April, 2011. The order was processed, three days later my credit card was charged, but the product was never shipped. I got nothing but runaround when trying to contact them via live chat, email, and phone. Indeed, the phone call was met with a generic "nobody is available to take your call" message. Only the first two or three emails were answered, and then with a notice that the part was discontinued, and had to be shipped from China. The only China I know of is 12,000 miles away, but still on planet Earth. I have to wonder on which planet their China is. The credit card only disputes charges for 60 days. It appears that my only other option is to file a small claims action against them."
"Was referred by a friend to Pc Planet Systems. I was looking for a particular Asus motherboards and Pc Planet had them available. I was lucky enough to have my order of the 8 boards fulfilled. They arrived in excellent condition, the customer service is very good, and from now on I will give my business for my company to Pc Planet Systems and will refer to all the businesses I know! A+++ Thank you Again"
"This company is quick to take your money, make promises on delivery, slow to respond to repeated inquiries (don't bother trying to call the 877-278-9108 number - it ALWAYS goes to voicemail), and never refunds your payment even though they say they will. I ordered an MSI socket AM2 motherboard on 08-01-2011, total cost with shipping was $96.10 and paid by visa. On 08-08-11, I received a reply to my order inquiry stating that "the order has been processed on August 4th and it takes 5 to 8 business days to be shipped out" On 08-16-11, I received a second reply to my inquiry stating that "we have a delay in customs from our transfer in China, your product should be shipped out to you by the end of this week/beginning of next week". On 08-23-11, I received a third reply to my inquiry stating that "we are having a delay from one of the containers coming from our location in China in which your board is included, is currently been processed by customs and should be arriving by late this week/beginning of next week". On 09-12-11, I received this reply to my email in which I asked them to explain why they have not yet cancelled this order and refunded my payment after 6 WEEKS - "The product you have ordered is a discontinued product from the US market.....if you want to have your order cancelled we can do that, refunds are made by check since your order was placed more than 5 business days, if that is ok with you let us know and WE WILL PROCESS YOUR CANCELLATION RIGHT AWAY". SINCE THEN I HAVE NOT HEARD ONE WORD MORE FROM THIS FINE UPSTANDING COMPANY DESPITE MANY EMAILS FROM ME ASKING FOR THE STATUS OF THE PROMISED REFUND. SHAME SHAME SHAME ON YOU!"
"My worst online shopping experience!!! I purchased 2 HP printers from them - different models. PC Planet Systems shipped one of the printers and made a note on the invoice "Remaining HP 5610 to be shipped out ASAP" That was two months ago. I have tried emailing PC Planet Systems, I have tried calling, Nothing. Stay away if you do not want to throw your money away...."
"Pc planet continues to be a great place to shop, the products they sell are hard to find and are shipped fast, received a defective units of 9 ordered and contacted the support team and resolved my problem, so in shrot in a not perfect world pc planet stands out for pricing and availability of hard to get parts"
"My company was looking for a particular discontinued motherboard. We found them at PC Planet Systems. The only company in America that sells this particular motherboard. We decided to get 10 as a "test run" for PC Planet Systems to see if they were reliable or not.
We received a poorly packaged box (I could have done MUCH better) of 9 motherboards and 8 face plates for them. When we emailed them asking where the other motherboard was, they said it was in route. They could have easily put the last motherboard in the box with the rest of them and reduced shipping costs for their customer, but they didn't.
Upon inspection, the motherboards looked salvaged. There is rust on the CPU slots and dirt all over. Nowhere on the website did it say the motherboard was used or salvaged, only "MEANT TO BE USED AS REPLACEMENT ONLY." I tested the motherboards, and so far they actually work.
In conclusion, I would not recommend this company. The poor packaging could have caused the motherboards to be damaged during shipping. The motherboards were filthy and they could have cleaned them up prior to shipping them out. Their grammar in our email conversations leaves something to be desired (no punctuation, very short sentences), except for the emails that are automatically generated. Finally, their website and logo are sort of an eyesore. I know this is something minor, but it definitely gives you a glimpse of how unprofessional this company is. I would rather buy from a company in China. ------------------------------------------------------ EDIT: Follow-Up to Response from PC Planet... First of all, how rude of them to reply back using all caps and attacking their customer so harshly. Is a teenager running this company? Not only that, but I am NOT James Lowman, and I'm sure he would not appreciate PC Planet Systems putting his information on the internet like that! Whatever happened to customer privacy? You can bet that I will report this to the BBB!
"All our products as CLEARLY STATED ARE BEING SHIPPED IN OEM PACKAGING, is more than obvious you DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT OEM MEANS" I do, in fact understand what OEM packaging is... An original equipment manufacturer, or OEM, manufactures products or components that are purchased by a company and retailed under that purchasing company's brand name. OEM refers to the company that originally manufactured the product. The original package would not have rust or dirt inside the motherboards!
"WE APPRECIATE AT LEAST YOU RECOGNIZE WE ARE THE ONLY COMPANY IN AMERICA BEING ABLE TO GATHER THOSE UNITS" If that's true, PC Planet Systems has a funny way of showing their appreciation.
"The Motherboards were not used as this person stated" Check my wording carefully. I never once said they were used! I simply said the website doesn't say they are/were used.
"those units WERE TESTED BEFORE BEING SHIPPED OUT TO ENSURE THEY WERE WORKING SINCE THOSE UNITS HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED FROM MANUFACTURER MORE THAN 3 YEARS AGO" That's great... as I mentioned, I tested them too and surprisingly, they work.
"ALSO THIS PERSON MENTIONED" LOOKED SALVAGED" AND THEN HE MENTIONED "I TESTED THE MOTHERBOARDS AND THEY WORKED" HOW CAN A SALVAGED OR DAMAGED MOTHERBOARDS FROM SHIPPING CAN WORK?" Think about it. A salvaged motherboard can still work - it just needs to be tested. It's not rocket science.
"WE SUGGEST TO EVERY TECHNOLOGY VENDOR TO CHECK TWICE THIS PERSON AND COMPANY wscadc.tzo.com," I suggest to every customer to think twice before dealing with this company PC Planet Systems.
"REALLY INCONSISTENT REVIEW FROM A NON SERIOUS PERSON AND COMPANY" Seriously? Did they even read their own reply before posting it? The grammar is awful and the caps-lock is annoying (like they're yelling at me). If anything, PC Planet Systems is the "non-serious" company. ------------------------------------------------ EDIT #2 - Reply to 2nd Response... Again, seriously? With the bad grammar, caps-lock, and bad-mouthing the customers? If you'll look at previous reviews for PC Planet Systems, you will note that this is their common practice. I don't see how anybody can take PC Planet Systems seriously.
I do in fact work for the company that made the order, but I will remain anonymous - I have that right. But I will tell you that I am very knowledgeable with computers (software and hardware). I graduated with a degree in Computer Science.
To PC Planet Systems, if you want your business to grow and succeed, I would recommend the following... 1) Quit being so aggressive and attacking your customers. Instead, try to reason with them and work things out. 2) Work on professionalism. It's obvious by the bad grammar, caps-lock, and bad-mouthing that you don't take your job seriously. So why should your customers? 3) Clean up your products before shipping them out. 4) Put extra padding in your shipments. 5) Try to please the customer!
NewEgg is a great company, maybe you should take some of their ideals and try to use them.
You have attacked me over and over (with no valid proof). Yet you have failed to defend yourself over the poor shipping quality, the bad grammar, the caps-lock, the bad-mouthing, the poor customer service, etc.
------UPDATE--------- We still have yet to get the 10th motherboard we ordered nearly a month ago. After further testing, only 4 of the 9 we received worked."

"Wow are these guys a scam. Just like others I ordered a motherboard which they claimed to be new. Man was it ever not. check out website to see more details. Pictures of the new motherboard they sent me. I have plenty more. I also have some contacts ordering motherboards from them just to take them down for there scam of claiming they are selling NEW and not offering refunds claiming they are NEW.
Took over 2 weeks to get it and they claimed they would send a tracking number which they did not. Motherboard looks like it was in the trash before they sent it. They also removed the serial number from motherboard so it couldn't be matched to the invoice serial number they have. What a joke of a company.
As of 4-6-11 I have received a refund from the company.
"DON'T! As simple as that. They canceled my order 2 minutes after receiving it and explained in an email template that it was either because 1. I canceled it (which I obviously didn't) 2. They tried to contact me about something and couldn't (which they obviously didn't). They don't have the items in stock and simply pretend to, so they can get your credit card details. STAY AWAY!!! They also state in their terms that THEY DO NOT REFUND ORDERS OVER $100!!!
**************** Here is their reply: Your order has been DECLINED DUE TO THE FACT YOU HAVE PROVIDED AN INCORRECT BILLING INFORMATION, WE DO NOT PROCESS CREDIT CARDS THAT ARE BASED ON ISRAEL, AND ALSO DUE TO THE ATTITUDE OF YOUR EMAIL WE ARE CANCELLING YOUR ACCOUNT WITH US, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ACCEPT OR DENY ANY ORDER, LOOK FOR THIS UNIT WITH ANOTHER TECHNOLOGY VENDOR AND ALSO FOR YOUR INFORMATION WE DO HAVE SEVERAL UNITS IN STOCK FOR THAT MODEL. ****************************** and mine: If there is a billing problem, you can send an email and say so, not cancel an order and claim that you tied to contact, when you didn't. Also, if you don't process cards from certain countries: SAY SO! why do you have a country in your drop-down menu that you don't accept payment from?! And I will go and buy it elsewhere, even at double the price, for a fractionally better service. It's no wonder all your reviews are bad. ********************** To that I add: PRESS THE CAPS LOCK KEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Aren't they the ones to jump and say that everyone's a FRAUD when all their reviews are the same...pathetic. Oh, and yes, I have a shipping box in Cali. you should get one too at http://bit.ly/USAmailBox Also - doesn't it seem odd to you that they disclose the names and addresses of their clients in forums and review sites??! Don't trust this business. ************** OMG this is a never ending saga with these guys. They simply do not understand.
YES I AM FAKE. I DIDN'T WANT TO BUY ANYTHING FROM YOU. I DO NOT EVEN EXIST. I GAVE YOU FAKE CREDIT CARD FAKE ADDRESS, IN FACT EVEN THIS REVIEW IS FAKE. YOU ARE THE BEST- I TAKE IT ALL BACK. EVERYONE, PLEASE BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE IF YOU WANT TO RECEIVE CAPS-LOCKED REPLIES TO WHY THEY ARE UNABLE TO FULFILL YOUR ORDER IF YOUR BILLING ADDRESS IS DIFFERENT FROM YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS. ANY BY THE WAY, I ALREADY HAVE THAT PRODUCT "I COULDN'T FIND ANYWHERE ELSE" CONFIRMED AND SHIPPED TO ME FROM SOMEONE THAT IS NOT YOU. OH, WAIT, I AM A FAKE AND I DON'T REALLY NEED PC HARDWARE AT ALL. I AM JUST LOOKING FOR REASON TO WASTE MY TIME REPLYING TO COMPANIES LIKE YOURS INSTEAD OF WORKING. FAKE FAKE FAKE FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD. PC PLANET SYSTEMS ARE THE BEST. THEIR SERVICE IS GREAT. SPEND ALL YOUR MONEY WITH THEM. A BILLION STARS TO YOU SIR! DON'T BELIEVE THE 70+ OTHER REVIEWS HERE. THEY ARE ALL FAKE TOO. IT'S A CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE ALL WONDERFUL PC PLANET SYSTEMS.
** CAPS LOCK IS THE KEY BETWEEN "TAB" AND "SHIFT" ON THE LEFT OF YOUR KEYBOARD. PRESS IT."
"Ordered a motherboard from them on 8/25/2011. They charged my card and confirmed my order via email. It is 9/21 and I have still not received the motherboard I ordered or any status what so ever from them since the order confirmation email. I sent an email requesting a status on 9/15 and received no response. I called their "Customer Service" number and it went straight to voice mail. So I sent another email today as well.
I should have checked their ratings prior to ordering from them. They seem to be all about blaming their customers for their poor performance. Here is a suggestion, don't take orders you can't fill. If the product is no longer available just say so. I have been buying online for more than 10 years now and this is without question the worst company I have ever dealt with.
I am just going to go file a dispute on the charge with my bank. These guys appear to be a scam.
Update 9/21/2011: Within minutes of posting my original review I got an email cancelling my order and my "account". Had they been that responsive back on 9/15 this review would not have been necessary. And as predicted in my original review based on other reviews, they attacked me personally calling me a liar. Do your self a favor and avoid the aggravation of ordering from these guys. Not sure what their story is but the only thing they do seem to respond to is their negative reviews. What really cracks me up in light of their response below is the email I received from them:
Dear Nelson Garrett, Your Order 11559 has been Cancelled.
Any order can only be Cancelled for one of two reasons:
1. You contacted us and cancelled the order 2. We saw that there was a problem with the order and were not able to get in touch with you, and thus we had to cancel your order after trying to Verify the information you had provided to us.
We regret that we have lost this order. However; we would love to retain you as a customer. Please reconsider us in the future. Unfortunately, once an order has been cancelled it cannot be reinstated. If you wish to reinstate the order, you will need to visit our website and place a new order. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused you.

"Avoid this business like the plague! I ordered a new mother board from them. Gave them my credit card number, etc. I later canceled the order have requested a refund. Have sent e-mails with no response. I have since found out they have a no cancellation policy. Since they have my money I want my motherboard."
"Man what is up with these guys...I placed an order Aug 23rd and now I can't get a hold of them for any sort of update on my purchase. Customer service here is piss poor...let see if they can redeem themselves by actually following through with delivering my motherboard. I'll keep you posted on that. Well after reading the reviews on these guys looks like I am just another guy that got scammed...damn it! I really needed that part too :(
In response:
Wahooooooo I got a response!!!! I am perfectly fine with you cancelling the order and so forth...but you didn't mention when my refund when be coming through. If indeed you are a legitimate company please refund me my money. And for the record when/if this does happen I will be sure to update my review of this refund
No response on refund yet.
Thank you for the reply...I will look for it then
9/12/11
PC Planet...refund??? It has been 5 business where is my refund that you said you would give?
9/14/11
Well, I am here to confirm that PC Planet Systems is a scam company. One thing you can bank on with PC Planet Systems is that they will steal your money. With that being said...you can do something about it. Apparently, I am not the first that has filed a merchant dispute on them. So, if you have ordered from PC Planet Systems go through your bank to get your money back...more than likely they will already be aware of them. Also, if indeed you have given you card number over to him I would highly advise cancelling the card immediately...scam companies like PC Planet Systems would not think twice and swindling you for more money. So for those thinking about buying from PC Planet Systems...just read the 70+ reviews on them and you will have your answer as to whether or not you can trust them. "
"On June 17 I have ordered a motherboard which they were unable to deliver, although I received confirmation that my order had been approved. They would order it in China. On july 19 They informed me that the units were damaged and that I could get a refund if I wished to or wait another week. I informed them that I could wait another week. As it took more than a week I asked for a refund. On August 3 I was informed that the order has been cancelled. After this date I have asked several times for my refund but did not get a reply from them. I cannot believe that I have lost my money as easy as this. Is this why people are afraid tho shop on internet? Hopefully I will get a reply and get my money back.
I live in the Netherlands Antilles and as some US Companies do not deliver their goods in the Netherlands Antilles I had to apply for a mail box in the USA. I have used the sevices of www.getezone.com for my shipping address, which has worked out perfectly till now. I pay a fee for their service. Of Course my billing address is in the Netherlands Antilles where I live. The problem is that you guys did not react on my emails as to when I will get the refund. It's all about communications. As stated in your reaction on my review it will take about 20 working days to process the refund I will wait patiently till about the September 21. It would be helpfull if you could send me a confirmation when the refund has been processed. Thanks. "
"On July 18 2011 I ordered a power supply. I sent an email about 10 days later and got this response from them.
"Your order has been processed on July 23rd and as clearly stated in the products page it takes 5 to 8 business days to be shipped out to you, at the moment your order is shipped our shipping dept will update your order status and post tracking information in your account"
It is now August 19, 2011 I still dont have the part and through several other requests have not b een able to resolve the issues.
Stay away from this company. You cannot speak to anyone and they clearly could care less if you get you part or not. This place is a scam!
Update 8/26/2011 - THIS IS THEIR REPLY
ANY VENDORS SPECIALLY TECHNOLOGY VENDORS BE CAREFUL BEFORE TAKING ANY ORDER FROM: GO-NET INC THEY LEAVE FEEDBACK HERE IN ORDER TO GET THEIR PRODUCTS EXPEDITED”
NO I LEFT FEEDBACK SO ANYONE WHO DEALS WITH YOU KNOWS THAT YOU ARE NOT RELAIBLE AND DONT CARE.
It is now well over a month. You do not return phone calls and every email response is "oh were checking on that and it takes days/weeks to get such informative emails". Not one of those emails said it could take almost two months to receive. Pasting every one of your replies as proof.
Knock my company all you want, all we did was order a part you offered, paid you up front and got jerked around for over a month. I actually had to go to my bank to get a refund!
reply I got on 08/22 from them no mention of 3 yrs discontinued,
"It is scheduled to be shipped out to you by the end of this week, at that moment you'll receive an email and tracking information will be posted in your account,"
PC Planet Systems
Here is an earlier email from them on 7/28
