I requested to have it shipped 2 day air as I needed ASAP. I ordered it through FedEx 2 Day on a Thursday and I didn\u0027t get it through Monday. That was my mistake. When I received the item it was defective as it was not reading on my macbook under disk utility. I tried using the old HD and it shows under disk utility just fine so I know its not the board. The installation video they had was also inaccurate as there was a cable attached to the shell that holds the stock HD in place and the video they had shows it can be removed instantly. I had to cut this item so the SSD from OWC could fit but the item was defective so I could not load the OS. Since I made an adjustment I can\u0027t put my old HD in since there is nothing there to hold it in place. I spoke to a few reps at OWC and was told different things. I was told by Duane initially when I found out that the SSD was defective and he told me that it was back ordered while the OWC website showed they had it available and would ship \u0022same day\u0022. I spoke to Ben a day later and he told me that it was still back ordered while the website still shows SameDay which means its available and then I spoke to Cynthia and she was very helpful and she told me she would get this shipped immediately since it does show they had it available she even did a free overnight shipping and she told me they had received the shipment. The next day I spoke to a Steve and he told me they still did not have it and would ship Monday and I would get it Tuesday the following week. I was lied to again and again with this company and it feels like if you received a defective item and need a replacement \u0022THEY DO NOT WANT TO HELP YOU\u0022. New Buyers are a\u0022PRIORITY\u0022. Steve told me that they need to check the SSD and make sure it was fine but I spoke to a Rebecca today 05\/13\/2012 and she told me they still dont have it in. I am now stuck with no hard drive and I cant use my notebook for work! This will most probably be the last time I ever look at this website. "A paragon for electronics stores. Great prices, knowledgable staff (through email and chat), and their site shows videos for upgrading memory. Great place to upgrade your mac. I like how you can get only the valid upgrades for your machine by telling it your model# or browsing by mac model (with helpful pictures and they tell you how to grab the model# from your mac). Makes it really easy to figure out what kind of hard drive/memory/etc. you can get. I've been using their RAM upgrades and the mercury elite pro line of external hard drives for about 5 years. Rock-solid performance and reliability on both. There aren't a lot of companies this good. Too bad there isn't something like this for the PC side of the world."
