"Opticsplanet is a waste of time. Ordered my eotech exps2 and during the order process it says on the description that it will take 11-21 days the bad part about it is that they don't even update you with your order. Last week of april I called them and they told me that it will be another week and a week later I called them again they said may 15. I called them may 16 and they told me it will be june 15. I finally cancelled my order. Bad experience with this company so beware to other potential costumers."

"Excellant company to do business with. Prices fair, and shipping was quick. Specs on red dot sights should include size of dots. I had to go to manufacturer sight to obtain information I needed. Product was as advertized. No problems at this time."

"I would really love to be positive about this review but I cannot. Before I start dishing the dirt, however, I want to note that every person I have dealt with at Optics Planet has been very courteous. I have had over three thousand dollars of successful orders with them since the first of the year, yet the most recent three for a total of nearly twelve hundred dollars have been awful.

Because of the interaction between the PayPal site and the Optics Planet site, the zip code for delivery was changed from my work address where I have high value items shipped and that of my home. The rest of the address stayed the same. I know this because the same thing happened that day with Amazon and an order from them for my wife's birthday. The difference was that Amazon caught the problem and Optics Planet did not. After I got the notice from Amazon, I called Optics Planet and asked to change the order to reflect the proper zip code. The kind woman, I believe her name was Ursula, took care of it and said that the orders would be fixed before they left the warehouse. They were not. I got notice that they had shipped and called a Mike at customer service who told me that he would have logistics notify the carriers (Fedex and UPS) to change the zip code. I watched the progress of my goods across country and both orders were stopped (the present order being a later shipped part of the same order because they were out of stock.) I called regularly and finally logistics declared them lost and asked me to fill out a claim so that they could be paid by the two carriers. One of the orders showed up at the warehouse and by email I begged that it be reshipped to my address. Mike responded and that order made it to me over a month after I placed it.

The larger order has been even worse. After they determined that a portion of the order was lost in shipping, they assert they credited my PayPal account. It never got there and now I have had to file a claim with PayPal in hopes of someday getting my money back.

This part of that second order was shipped later. Before it shipped, I canceled it in frustration and was assured that the order was cancelled. Three days later, I received notice that the order had shipped with the same zip code problem. My PayPal account was dinged for the value of the order. Again, the shipper sent notice of the exception and this order too is in Never Never Land. I have paid for many goods and received far too few. As courteous as the people have been, I feel very conflicted sending in such a negative review but the fact is that customer service could not prevent this shipwreck from happening in spite of my numerous calls and emails trying to stop it. I like the people but hate their inability to actually serve as they assert they have."

"Over 40 days to get my item. Sent me a defective scope I sent back with all of the proper info. They accidentally sent me scope rings that were back ordered even though they had my exchanged scope with all of the paperwork telling them to send me a different scope. Even though I spoke with them four times on the phone to make sure a mix up would not happen, they sent me the wrong item and made me wait to receive it, send it back, and wait for ten day "processing" period again. Jeff Schram, the manager , would not take or return any of my phone calls. They had my paid for and returned item for over 40 days before I received the correct item"

"Great variety and the prices are lowest that I have found. I have ordered several items and never any issues. I had one return and there were no delays or anything. Always good to know that you will receive a great product at a great price with fast shipping.

"The scope base mount I ordered did not fit my particular rifle (because of machine variations in earlier Browning models). I called OpitcsPlanet.com, talked to a REAL person almost instantly, and got the part replaced with the ones I needed over the phone. I've always used OpticsPlanet.com because of their competitive pricing, but I will continue to be a loyal patron because of their outstanding customer service!"

"OpticsPlanet.com usually has a nice selection and very competitive prices. That, and their reputation for standing behind the products they offer is why I shop there. So far, I have had no need for customer service because everything I have received has worked well. Still, it is nice to know that I have an ally if something does not live up to expectations.

I understand that in the interest of being able to offer "free shipping", the shipping method and processing need to be efficient and low cost. Sometimes this means waiting a little longer than some of the other sources I order from. Generally, I have been happy enough with delivery times, thank you."
