"COMPLETE SCAM!!! I ordered the Panasonic FZ28 camera because the price was far lower than any other online retailer. I have never had a negative experience from an online retailer before (I know, I'm lucky) so it never occurred to me to check ratings.
I received 3 Emails from Joe S. instructing me to call to confirm the order. When I did, I was on hold for 25 minutes and the person never identified himself, but just as the other reviews, started telling me I had to purchase the battery and charger, and an extended warranty. I told him I did not need the battery, so he moved on to the warranty and told me if I bought the warranty for $189 he would give me the battery and charger free (of course, telling me the camera would not work without THIS specific battery!) When he first launched into the pitch for the warranty, I started saying "no" over and over but he was not to be stopped till he got to the end. When he finished, he finally got the message and started mimicking my "no, no, no", called me a b**ch and said "your order's cancelled". Then he hung up on me. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! To those of you who raved about doing business with them....do you WORK for them???? I am SO glad the order is cancelled..."

"This is the second time I've tried to order from this company. The first time I was told the item was out of stock. This time (ordered a Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens) I was asked when I called if I wanted the metal or plastic mount. This lens only comes with one type (metal). I was told the metal was $399 and the plastic was $259.

As I'm talking with their rep I was looking at their internet site and told him so. He quickly offered to cancel my order on the spot.

I know going into this purchase this was not a stellar online seller. They proved all the negative comments had a solid basis.

Buyer beware. Know what type of seller you're dealing with. In this case a pretty poor one."

"I never write reviews, but this company is running such an incredibly brash scam that there is no other choice. What they do is advertise prices that are literally hundreds or in some cases thousands of dollars below other reputable web sites. Then, when you place the order, you automatically get an email that says you have to call to "confirm your order." Once you call, they attempt to:

1. Sell you items that are supposed to be included with your purchase per the manufacturers specs. For example, I went to purchase a high-end projector that comes with two bulbs and a bunch of accessories standard. When I called, they told me I had to purchase a bulb for the projector at 2X the normal price. When I called the manufacturer of the projector, they told me that their units ship with the bulbs and the ONLY way for a reseller to sell a unit without a bulb is to physically open the package and remove the standard item. SCAM!

2. They try to sell you ridiculous add-ons at insane prices, claiming you need them for your product to function properly. Most of the time the insurance is not even fully relevant to the project.

3. They often ship items that they claim are new but are clearly refurbished, used or worse yet.... DOA. Then, when you try to return the item, they charge you ridiculously high "restocking" fees, won't refund your shipping costs, and make you ship the defective item back with no refund.

The sales people try to make you feel as if you don't know what you're talking about. Unfortunately, with me... they got someone who is well versed in their products and could refute their claims.

I am contacting the consumer fraud division in the state in which they are doing business because I feel so strongly about their blatant disregard for consumer protection laws."

"Ordered an Olympus Stylus 820. Got the camera and it was obviously used and broken. I have tried to call them and get a recording that says "thank you and goodbye". I tried to pull up their website, and it's gone???? Oh well they screwed another person. Time for another unpleasant credit card dispute."

"Delivered an inoperable Olympus 1030 SW and then refused to pay return shipping. Customer service rep advised that after examining the returned camera they would send a replacement. If I decided to request a refund, they were going ro charge a hefty fee even though the item was not being returned to stock. Really poor customer service/relations."

"I spent all day researching the best price for a Nikon D200 And ontimedigital.com had the best price by far... Except for their accessories which were priced 300 times more than MSRP. I was okay with that though cause i was going to buy my accessories elsewhere. I thought i had 'em licked... I called before i placed the order to make sure they had it in stock. When i called the guy was pleasant enough until he tried to drop the bomb on me by saying it didn't come with a battery or charger! BUT i already figured they would try to pull that so i said i already had one- small fib but i had found one for $13 which is a a lot better than their quoted $300. As soon as i said i already had a battery he promptly hung up on me. I called back and he hung up on me again! I printed out a list of companies that were affiliated with ontimedigital and i will never shop with them again. "

"SCAMMERS! BUYERS BEWARE!!

I ordered the Nikon Coolpix L18 8MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom RED. The price was very cheap. A few days later I got a call from a very pushy guy trying to sell me a battery charger and batteries for $50. I told him I already had a charger and batteries that I bought for $15. He tried to tell me how I had to use certain brand batteries or the warranty wouldn't hold up. Then when I was very stern in telling him NO he moved onto trying to sell me a media card. I interrupted him and told him that I already bought a 2GB card off of Ebay for $8 and that included shipping he let up and then moved onto trying to sell me a warranty on the camera. I couldn't get a word in. Finally when I turned him down he told me that my camera would ship tomorrow and for me to have a nice day. Then I get an email saying that my order was on back order for 6 to 8 weeks and I can cancel it if I want. I was very angry and called them and told them so and also canceled the order. SCAMMERS!!!

"Buyer beware! Please read reviews on this company before making your purchase! They show you the lowest price, but then you must contact them to confirm your order. My camcorder started at $559 for the package I wanted. The sales rep had me setup with the $1199 package that I did not want or need. He was very rude and told me these items that cost $1199 were crutial to the functioning of my camera. I have cancelled my order and contacted my credit card company. They are a fraud!!!"

"I ordered 2 different Canon Powershot cameras. I was told to call a number to confirm the order. Then they wanted to sell me batteries for the cameras for $79 a piece. The man on the phone said the cameras come without batteries. Having bought 3 Canon cameras before, I know that this is not true. My experience is the same as many previous customers. Bait and switch. The facts are not noted on the website. Buyer BEWARE."
