"As you may or may not know, there was a deal in October, 2008 that involved www.geicoprivileges.com, www.shareomahasteaks.com and www.omahasteaks.com. geicoprivileges was offering a $25 GC good for any purchase at Omaha steaks, and if you signed up through shareomahasteaks.com, you were to also receive 12 bonus burgers. The total came out to $1.98 after GC.

As great of a deal as it seemed, we have been put through the ringer several times with Omaha Steaks' constant changing of terms. These changes included removing the bonus burgers from the orders, canceling customers' orders, and even refusing to honor their own written, unconditional guarantee. In calling Omaha Steaks, we were met with unyielding, rude, vulgar, unprofessional, ridiculous CSRs telling us that WE had done something wrong.

I'll admit, when people first started to complain about omahasteaks canceling the bonus burgers and changing the GC terms, I found it a little ridiculous, feeling that we should be happy we got 8 burgers for $1.98 (or other products for slightly more); however, after I received my order today of thawed hamburgers (yes, THAWED) and spoke to customer service and two supervisors, I found out that they are refusing to honor their "unconditional satisfaction guaranteed" policy, and that they'll refund me the $1.98, but WILL NOT replace the burgers. They said they will not honor the guarantee for anyone that's gotten in on this deal - even though there's a written unconditional guarantee right in the package!

They've not only resorted to using loopholes to avoid fulfilling orders - such as renaming the gift cards "reward gift cards" and saying we can't combine offers, they've blatantly gone against their own unconditional guarantee and have treated us as "second-class citizens" because we took advantage of the GC promotion.

In the end this IS about principle! Omaha Steaks sees nothing wrong with changing the rules after orders are placed. They find no issue with not honoring a written and signed guarantee at any time of their choosing, even though they admitted to having NO WRITTEN CLAUSE that would allow them to do so. I urge everyone to file any and all complaints you can, because this isn't the first time this company has conducted themselves in this manner, and until something is done, it won't be the last."

"Although the food itself is actually good it took about a week and a half + for them to even ship. I added the alleged total of the items at original price per the package I bought v.s what it would have cost if I bought it seperately and although the package price was indeed less it was nowhere near what they said it was. I got a 1/2 off storewide e-mail from them today and one item I found was the following:
4 (24OZ) Porterhouse Steaks original price was $177 on sale for $88
When seeing the exact same item via the standard web page the price was only $119 so this should have sold for $59.95.
This site certainly is not trustworthy..... "

"Someone sent me some of Omaha Steaks meats before, and I liked the food, and the way they were packed and presented.

This was my first order with them, and they promised delivery on the 23rd. I was sending a assortment to some newlywed friends for delivery by Christmas. 2nd day shipping was ordered.

Now, late night on the 23rd, no package arrived at the friends house, and their website shows a date of the 28th., after Christmas. No emails, no notification, no calls, no nothing. The 2nd day charges were not shown to be returned.

Their promises cannot be taken seriously.

I won't be dealing with them again.

Received order 6 days after ordering (3 days ship time) I believe they delayed shipping until Monday (I ordered on a Thursday) so that the package full of frozen food wouldn't sit around all weekend.

Items were packed very well, (with more than enough dry ice),exactly as described, and yummy.

I recieved 2 timely emails from them, order confirmation, and shipping notification, with tracking link.

I've ordered from them for years now, for myself and as gifts. I have never had any problem with them. You just can't beat their meat! "
