"I have ordered from Nitroplanes/hobbypartz/Xheli several times. Out of the 6 or 7 orders I have placed with them I have had 2 defective parts. Both times I was able to resolve the issue, one time through rcdiscuss and one time through thier online chat (which is great when it is online).
You do have to pay the return shipping on RMAs. Deal with it. For example, one bad item was a CT6B 6 channel 2.4ghz radio with reciever. I had to pay 8 bucks to send it back. I got the new one 5 days later. So I paid 40 dollars total for a kick butt programmable 6 channel radio. If I had gone with Spectrum it would have cost $200 bucks for a similar setup, so I can deal with the extra 8 bucks because I am still WAY ahead...
As far as the product quality, aside from the 2 dead/defective items everything has been great quality. The Sky Lipos rock, My pair of CT6B radios are great. I have 10 of the 3 dollar servos that all work fine, A wonderful charger, several micro helis, 2 airplanes, engines, and ESCs all which work great and were dirt cheap.
Tips: 1. Do a LOT of research before buying something from them to see if other people are having issues and what the issues are.
2. Watch the videos. If Tony or Anthony seem nervous or try to gloss over something that caused a crash or broke during normal usage beware. For example, watch the Airfield 1400mm Piper cub review where Tony breaks the landing gear and says "hopefully Airfield will fix this flaw before they ship these." Did they? Probably not, but you won't know until you buy it. See if the broken item is something that you could modify yourself or if it is a fatal flaw. On a piper cub bad landing gear is fatal, on a P51, you could belly land it in grass and still have lots of fun.
3. Keep in mind that you are getting this stuff CHEAP, so it is junk in some cases. If you want more reliable products, don't buy Dynam, buy E-flight. You'll get quality and support, but your gonna pay through the nose.
4. Watch other peoples videos for the product you are interested in. I wanted the 800mm mustang, but after watching tons of videos of people having all kinds of tip stall issues I decided against it.
5. CHECK YOUR ITEMS THE MINUTE YOU GET THEM, and make sure they are complete and function properly. You have 7 days to contact them with problems.
Its too bad they aren't very good at customer service. Their prices are great and they have some really excellent products mixed in with some duds. I think they try to weed out the bad stuff and improve their stock. I have watched them for 2 years now and it seems like they dump the junkier items by not restocking them. Then again they are dumping them on their customers, so please make sure you look for real user reviews before you buy something.
For what its worth, I would order from them again."
"Purchased a plane for $160 from them, it flew for 30 seconds and wings collapsed. We called for a replacement and they said we had to buy them and ship ourself. These guys are scammers and tech support is horrible."
"Don't buy from this company. The customer service is worse than Wells Fargo and AT&T. My order was not processed correctly. I called customer service and waited on hold for nearly an hour, then I was hung up on when I asked for a manager. This was supposed to be a fathers day gift for my Dad but due to the order being messed up and other delays the order won't even be processed until after Father's day. The price difference negligible as compared to other hobby shops. You are better off buying from someone else."
"I have already made several orders to Nitro Planes and every single one came to me in Canada perfect with everything nicely packed and in the order. Unlike a lot of other mail order type businesses they constantly keep you informed and updated about your order until it is shipped then you can track it nicely. As far as customer service goes their preferred method of communication is by email. If you trying to reach them by phone it is a bit time consuming but not impossible. They have competitive prices and a nice product line and I look forward to doing more business with them in the future."

"From the videos posted on their website I think Nitroplanes is just the latest front company for Banana Hobby (well know for their horrible customer service). If your product is complete and you have no problems then they are fine to work with. However if there is a part missing or broken you can forget about any sort of customer service/support. Hours spent on hold on the phone, no response to emails, etc (Sounding just like Banana Hobby and we all know how worthless they were). I think the guy in NP's video is the same guy (Pete) from Banana Hobby's video which only reinforces this is a front company. Buy from with caution. I suggest using a credit card so you can dispute charges if there is anything wrong with the product because you are not going to get any customer support with problems without disputing the charges (meaning the credit car company pulls back payment from them), then you'll hear form them or they'll send you an RMA if that is what you want so you can return their product. Be sure to check out your plane to be sure all parts are there and working as soon as you get the plane. You can only dispute the charges with your credit card company for a short period of time after ordering"

"Everything was fine until we noted a part missing from our order--we tried to call, no answer, email, no reply, sign on to live chat--never anyone there to chat with, and we also tried their forum RCdiscuss--which would not let us sign on despite repeated attempts to register. This was all repeated regularly for 3 months! Finally got someone on the phone after 45 min. wait--exceedingly arrogant young lady told me it was too late for them to fix the order! When I explained the difficulty getting through she had the stunning audacity to tell me I should have "tried harder"! As if the customer is repsonsible for their dysfunctional contact procedures. We will never, ever buy from them again. They lost a customer over something that could have been easily resolved with simple politeness and common sense--just apologize for the missing part and send it. How easy. What a miserable excuse for customer service. "
"nitroplanes.com terrible customer service. plane was missing parts took 4 calls at 45+ minutes ea before getting through just to be told they would get back with me then 2 more calls on hold 45+ minutes then was told they would send the missing parts and a confirmation email 2 days later nothing. tried 3 more times to call but after 1 hour at #1 in phone que got disconnected. before this I have not had any problems. as long as item is ok and not missing parts but if there is a problem it is like trying to get blood out of a turnup to any help from them. "I went with NP instead of Banana Hobby because of all the bad reviews about BH. So far my experience with NP isn't going well. 4 days after order UPS says they don't have package yet. I try calling NP to get some info of what is taking so long. One phone # keeps ringing or busy the 5 times I've tried calling. The other number says I'm not calling during business hours when I'm calling in the middle of the day. I hope my experience changes because this isn't the only plane I wanted from them, but at this point I won't order again. "
"I absolutely love ordering from Nitroplanes and all their sister companies! I indeed have experienced some delays before but their assistance always come through. I purchased several planes for my husband and sons for Christmas and everything came on time. They even notified me the exact times I should place my order to ensure that it will arrive on time before Christmas Day and every information was very honest and straight to the point. I will recommend many friends and my husband will do the same. Great company to buy from."

"Terrible quality and customer service. I was looking to get back into the RC flying now my kids are older. I could not believe the great selection and prices at Nitro Plane. It is too good to be true. 1st. I could not get through to anyone about technical question on the 3rd plane I wanted to order and hung up after 45 being on hold. 2nd. One of the two planes came with no spare parts or antenna for the transmitter. 3rd. No response to phone calls or email and still waiting for 3 weeks. 4th. This is some cheap stuff with poorest quality and workmanship. We had to put so much counter weight in the nose for level flight, the plane can't stay airborne. - I am a aircraft mechanic and pilot. Go to the Casino if you want to throw your money away.
They won't accept returns without a RMA but the trick is you can't get an RMA"
"I have placed my first 4 orders this past month with Xheli & Nitroplanes (they operate under several company names) and have spoken with their representatives on at least 4 occasions. Selection is decent when items are in stock. Parts availability is limited to certain products... Use caution. Pricing is competitive especially when on sale. Processing & delivery turnaround time is fairly quick. With Xheli, their free shipping is a plus. Beware: Return & exchange policy, even with defective or damaged products is very poor. You pay for return shipping & restocking fees... Read fine print. 3 out of 4 representatives I spoke with have poor & unprofessional customer service skills, though 1 excelled ("Charlie"). Hold times when calling can be lengthy. 1 item indicated online as being in stock was ordered & processed only to be told later that it was out of stock and delayed. 1 item priced "on sale" was not honored by company because they stated that the system was not updated in time to reflect the now full price. 4 orders placed were processed out of chronological sequence even when in stock. Some products (from Asia) have limited & poorly translated instructions & packaging info and may be outdated, incomplete or inaccurate. Some package labeling or instruction parts lists did not match actual contents. Management is very inflexible with customer service needs & issues. Overall customer experience is OK if you don't run into any unexpected problems."

"I ordered the 5-Channel AirField RC P-51 Marie. This is a great ARF(PNP) aircraft. The attention to scale detail for a Foamy is superb. It comes with installed retracts and powerful motor. With a 4S battery, the performance is excellent. As usual Nitro models shipping time is great.."
