"I had ordered the LG 42LM5800 3D TV on Dec 22 2012 for $458 all in. The online order went through and my credit card was charged that day. As boxing day came and went I believed I had purchased the TV from NewEgg successfully and did not take advantage of several other television deals in other stores.

But 5 days later on Dec 27, my entire order was suddenly set to backordered and erased from my account history. This not only felt like a bait and switch, but also made me miss out on various other boxing day deals this year. The fact NewEgg deleted my order from my order history simply made the whole thing seem even shadier and more unprofessional.

I have contacted NewEgg and they said there's nothing they can do about it. They offered me $25 in giftcards but I declined it as a matter of principle. Companies that try these shady business practices should be exposed and not swept under the rug.

"I placed an order with Newegg at 9:30PM on Christmas day. The order was processed and shipping information was provided by 10AM Boxing day morning. How awesome is that? Not only that, but after receiving the shipping information, I noticed the item had dropped in price and free shipping was applied (for Boxing day sale). I sent an email asking if I could somehow take advantage of the promotions, already knowing that they dont offer price protection, but they still offered to give me a credit on my order. Newegg is the best online store I have ever ordered from. Their service is phenomenal, prices are great, shipping is fast. Check any review of Newegg and you won't be disappointed. Place an order with Newegg and you wont be disappointed."

"I purchased a graphics card from Newegg in the beginning of December, this week I noticed that there were two free games bundled with the graphics card I just bought. I contacted them and even though I they didn't have to do anything, they sent me the coupon for the two free games. Newegg customer service had always been top notch for me."

"i ordered a ASUS GTX680-DC2T-2GD5, it was not the lowest price i saw online but it was in second place, 4day later i received it with purolator ground. i got some tracking issue since we can't track it until it have pass the customs (even if you order from newegg.ca they might not have the item in a canada warehouse so). there was a promotion from nvidia, buy a series 600 and get borderland 2 and assassin creed 3 free, but newegg was out of stock of those promotion card, all i had to do was to go in a live chat session and they added a note in my order, once it was done they told me to watch contact them as soon as i see them back in stock, they gave me both item number so i wasnt complicate. it took 1 day for borderland to get back in stock and 4 for assassin creed 3. they sended me both of the item totaly free of charge and as soon as i asked them.
P.s. : my english isnt realy good, sorry"

"I got an Intel SSD for less than expected and it wasn't even a refurb. There was an error during the order, on my credit card's end, but one of NewEgg's representatives was able to tell me the order went through and that everything was okay. Good store!"

"In my opinion, Newegg.ca is making a perfect example as to how an online store should operate. Speaking of my experiences, I have only witnessed excellent customer service, great prices, and break-neck speed shipping. I have not been given any reason to do business elsewhere. In fact, it's becoming real difficult to find people who conduct "Good business" practices these days."

"This was my very first purchase at Newegg and it was for an ASUS eeeBox computer. The order was quickly processed and I tracked the shipment everyday, eagerly anticipating the machine. When it arrived, I plugged everything together and went to the computer properties to set a workgroup name for my network, only to discover that the wrong machine had been sent, and this one was a lesser configuration than the one I had ordered.

With the chat service, I explained the nature of the problem, and was quickly assigned an RMA and a pre-paid shipping label with a tracking number.

I am the type of person who understands that errors can occur, especially at this time of year, and especially when dealing with physically identical units and packaging, but I was so impressed with how the problem was being handled, I asked where I could leave a comment, and writing comments is a rare thing for me.

I tracked the shipment back to Newegg, and even before I saw that it had hit its destination, I received an email asking if I still wanted the replacement with the correct product, or a refund.

Everyone I dealt with through chat or phone was very professional and conveyed a deep interest in getting my problem resolved, and did so quickly.

I eagerly await the replacement, and feel in adavnce that it will be quickly sent, so I'm not waiting to write this review.

I recommend Newegg to anyone considering a purchase from them. They are efficient, have good pricing, handle problems quickly and professionally, and keep you, the customer, informed throughout the entire process.

Thank you Newegg! I'll definitely be back."

"Newegg kept its promise to me. I had ordered a Saeco Automatic Espreeso-Cappuccino Maker on Cyber Monday at a fabulous price. I had chosen the Paypal option for payment and had assumed everything had gone well because the Paypal account had put in my shipping address and connected it with my order. However, for whatever reason, the payment was not actually processed by Paypal. Two days later I received notice from Newegg that my order was cancelled because payment had not been received. I tried to contact Paypal but their website was down and I thought that Paypal might have gone bankrupt or been closed for good (I suspect that the problem was an overload of their computer system and that the Paypal server had gone down). Getting this shock and having thought all was on track, I used the Live Chat option to try to resolve my problem. Initially my agent, Molly, indicated that I would have to place another order because they cannot re-create a cancelled order. However, because Cyber-Monday was done, I would have to purchase at the current web price ($200 more for the same item). Fortunately for me, after I explained what had happened and that I had acted in good faith assuming all was well with my Paypal purchase, Molly was able to speak with her Supervisor and make a special exception in my case. Since the old order was dead, I agreed to make the purchase at the new price and that she would process a $200 credit against that purchase once I made it. And Molly was true to her word. She followed up and ensured that the credit was done as promised. I'm very happy with the extra efforts that she made on my behalf and I will be going back to shop at Newegg.ca."

"Decent if not spectacular prices but they completely screwed up shiping my order. For some reason their system shipped my order without sending the tracking info and it also wasn't accessible from my account online. So the delivery attempts occurred without my knowledge and the product was sent back without my knowledge. Now its sold out and they wont send that one back to me."

"Newegg is a very great place for shopping electronic. Very low price, great selection of product and MOST of the time fast shipping. The only thing that I have to complain is especially the shipping but I can only blame Purolator."

"As owner and operator of Millbrook PC, I need my orders shipped promptly and complete so my customers don't have a needlessly lengthy wait. When there is a problem with my order, I need it rectified asap with little effort on my part.
Newegg.ca is a wonderful service that has yet to let me down in these areas or any other.
A recent mistake I made while submitting an online RMA or return left me flustered and worried I was in for a big hassle on the phone to have it rectified. Instead Newegg's courteous and efficient telephone support service had everything straightened out in about 10 minutes including hold time. Thank You Rosa C. (my well spoken Newegg representative)!
I am a very satisfied customer and plan to continue using Newegg till the cows come home!

"Love their great deals on brand names but especially on their in-house brand (Rosewill)with sometimes unbeatable prices. Usually rocket fast delivery. But above all, it's when we make a booboo we can really rate a merchant on it's ability to recover...even for a mistake made by the customer.
Right in the crux of Black Friday, I made a purchase and got a great deal but forgot to use the special discount code that subscribers to the news letter get. I was ready to kiss it goodbye when I saw a customer service link. I thought it would send an email that would be answered in three weeks or so, after the black friday/ cyber monday rush. No ! It was a live chat to a happy rep who offered to follow up on the discount or to cancel so I could redo right away. Since I was confident the items would probably not sell out , I chose the cancellation. The rep managed to do it for me on the spot. Within minutes I was able to redo properly. Man, that's service. Makes you feel really confident that they are in for the long haul; not a quick buck from a shady site. 5 stars for Newegg.ca"
