"Very disappointed. I order a lot of parts from Ncix, I run a small computer company and do a lot of builds and repairs.

Recently for a new build for a customer I went with an AMD Bulldozer 8-core processor from ncix. The first one I received the system was hanging at odd times and after running tests I realized that some cores would randomly stop working. I RMA'd the part, and after a couple weeks, NCIX confirmed that my tests were true and there was issues with the processor. They sent me another processor, which I tried and found to have the exact same problem.

I sent this one back, indicating I wanted a refund, and purchased a Phenom II quad core instead for this build, which works perfectly btw.

After a week or so, one of the tech specialists, emails me, saying that the processor I RMA'd has bent pins and that they cannot accept this to be returned... I indicated that if the pins were bent while I was using it, it wouldn't have even fit into the slot properly, which it did, it also would likely have not even booted. I had the exact same model of processor with the exact same issue, and now when I ask for a refund, they are attempting to say it is due to physical dmg...

NCIX has since agreed to accept the processor for refund, so I am adjusting the review accordingly. "

"We use to order there for fast shipping, but this is not always the case. It has been over 10 days now that we wait for an order with an item which was suppose to be in stock. It still has not shipped yet. No response from customer service. "

“Hello Andie7,

As this account is assigned to a sales rep, the customer care department would not have been able to help with this order and they did ask him to follow up with you and he did. When we checked with the sales rep, he indicated he emailed you several times and did not get a response, so perhaps there was an issue with you receiving his replies or maybe it was being sent to the primary persons email on the account which is different from yours.

We are sorry this transaction did not go as smoothly as you would have liked. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me anytime ckinsman@ncix.com.”

"Disappointed with NCIX. I ordered two cases, one for me and one for my parents to build new computers. They processed my order successfully and charged my card in full just to turn around and cancel my order a day later. Seemed more like a bait and switch type of scam.

Update: Well, NCIX was able to work out something with me. In the end, I'm happy. Props to them for being very friendly and patient regarding how disappointed I was with them initially. I'm glad they care about their customers and are at least willing to work something out since most companies do nothing and don't care. In the end, I'm happy. "

"I've made a few orders with NCIX (US) over time, but today was my first bad experience.

I'm building a computer for my parents and in typical fashion, I checked out NCIX for parts. I found a deal on a case (that I figured was too good to be true), a CPU + Mobo combo, and a few other items.

Today I got an e-mail regarding the case (and in reality, that's not the reason for this review since I was 90% sure that would happen). So, I needed to call and ok the rest of my order without the case.

When I called, the rep informed me that the CPU was in the order but not the mobo. When I asked why, I was told it was discontinued -- mind you, the combo is still available for purchase on their website as I'm writing this. However, they were going to ship me the CPU anyway. Since one is pretty much useless without the other, I had to inquire as to why they thought it was a good idea.

That's pretty scummy on their part. It chaps me even more that I passed up a different deal on another website for this one and that deal is no long available.

Up until now, I would say my transactions with them have been typical - I buy it, you send it, and I receive it. But now it may be worth giving a second look to even their average priced deals."

"I placed an order for several needed PC cases that looked to be a good deal from NCIX. I tracked the progress of my order throughout the day and it looked like everything was good to go for shipment this morning. Come to find out, without so much as an email or any sort of contact, they refunded my credit card charge and cancelled my order. I went back to the product page and the price has gone up significantly. They state in their buyer agreement that they can pretty much do what they want in regards to your order if they don't want to fulfill it. Pretty shady to lure someone into visiting your site with good prices and then cancel your order when they don't want to honor it. Bad form and very bad customer service for not even giving an explanation. Unethical way of advertising if you ask me. I've already told two customers of mine that I had cases lined up for them and now I have to call them back and explain the situation. This is making me look bad as well."

“Hello DirtyZ123,

We did send you and everyone an email apologizing for the pricing mistake and we also included a coupon code to discount your next order to try and make good on it. Perhaps it may have hit your spam folder, but despite this we have tried numerous times to reach out to you by email and phone to ensure you received it and to make sure you were ok with the resolution we provided.

Again our apologies for this and we hope to see you one day again soon! If you have any questions or concerns about this or anything else, please feel free to contact me directly anytime at ckinsman@ncix.com.”

"NCIX has became my number one site to buy computer components off of. They usually have really good deals on GPUs and cooling related items which is a huge plus (of course). Tech support is also very friendly and responded quickly when I was having some issues."

"I inquired about returning a heatsink which I had bought and thought was too large for my case. The customer service agents were great and very professional. After some emails back and forth with them I decided to keep the heatsink but was very pleased with the service."

"The motherboard I purchased had a couple of issues, nothing major but issues none the less. It had a defective speaker header. I spoke to Billy in tech support and was given a RMA for refund. I didn't want any downtime so I ordered a replacement board (different brand) and received it within a couple of days. I shipped the defective board back and the entire process was quick and efficient. 5 stars for all of this. Top notch company to deal with and they have now become my online store for all of my computer needs. I fully expect that my refund will be headache free as well. Thanks again!"

"I had damaged parts due to Purolator, and so after some unsuccessful phone calls with Purolator, an extremely helpful customer service rep named Billy at NCIX was able to ease my concerns and help me set up a painless RMA for the parts with the shipping cost waived. This is for you Billy, you're one of the best customer reps I've ever dealt with and I will happily shop from NCIX again."
