"I was looking for the lowest price on a Panasonic bd35, and these guys had it within a dollar or two. I opted for two day shipping, which you're supposed to call to verify. Well, THEY called me. The Blu-Ray player arrived right on time, as advertised.

I'm VERY happy I gave these guys a chance, and would recommended them to my best friend. Great experience with very cool people. "

"After days of researching,I found the cheapest price online for a Rebel XTI digital camera at a website called Myrtle Electronics.com. So on jan 15th 2009,I decided to order it.

And as you can see from this link:

http://www.myrtleelectronics.com/item_detail.php?item_id=113454

This product is listed as new WITH the 18-55 mm Lens. I had been saving up for this camera for months and was really excited to be able to get it for such a good price. I got a confirmation via email and was happy.

The next day at 7 am, I get a wake up call from some number I had never seen before. On the other en was a man who said that I had ordered a camera from him. He seemed pretty friendly but also had a shady accent like a pimp or something lol. He had called to confimr my address and so I decided to ask him questions like the camera is New and what exactly it came with he told me it was brand new and told me all the things it came with, including the lens. He actually wanted to see if I was interested in buying filters or a memory card. I told him I had everything I needed. He then said "You just spent 470 dollars and you dont want a filter to protect your lens?? its going to get scratched you know" I told him I had filters already. He said ok and told me that it would get shipped in a few days. The whole call was a lil weird since Ive been ordering stuff online for years and I have never got a call from an online store, it seemed very unprofessional.

A week passed and I got my package. When I opened the box you could easily tell that it was new but the box was solid white and didnt have the Kit artwork that I had seen everywhere
online. It had the factory tape and had canon on the box so I wasnt too worried. When I opened it, It was all new and had all the accesories that the Kit was supposed to have EXCEPT one important thing, the lens. This was not the kit it was just the body that they had sent me, even the reciept had Canon Digtal Rebel XTI KIT. I was extremely pissed and I called the store imediately. The friendly shady guy answered and was really sorry and apologized for the mix up he said that he would send the 18-55 mm lens that same day. Then he asked if I wanted to upgrade to a bigger lens, I couldnt believe he was still trying to sell me stuff!! I told him no that I want what I paid for. He called me later that day to confirm that it had been sent.

I called him mon of this week to make sure that it was sent he said yes that I should get it in a few day. Its friday today and I have not recieved anything! I just got off the phone with one those shady folks and I demanded that I get a tracking number for the lens. I quickly checked the tracking number and to my surprise the UPS track site said that it was shipped today via 2nd day!?

This is the worst customer service Ive ever had to deal with from any internet site. Im glad to see that there is a package in transit and it is being shipped to me but Im just wondering if I had never called today if it would of been shipped at all.

If I dont recieve the correct lens Im going to report this place to the NY BBB.

**UPDATE**

Well I finally got my package after a week of waiting, calling and getting what seemed to be an endless runaround. When I opened the box it did have the lens but they upgraded my lens to a Canon 28-90mm F/4-5.6 III , which is really nice and kinda was worth the wait. But at the same time I would of been just as happy with the kit lens. I didnt like dealing with these people and from what Ive read from other reviews, they have a bunch of web sites out there. I recommend caution when buying from this store."

"DO NOT BUY!! Company sells refurbished equipment as new. Will not correspond by email, only phone. after a 10 minute wait, I have never heard a company lie about it's products in such a matter.
Save your time and spend the extra $10.00 from company with a good rating."

"The item I ordered was listed through Google Shopping and their own website as "IN STOCK" but was not. I had difficulty with the VERY rude salesman on the phone when canceling the order.
I received a call a week later from another representative trying to convince me to revise this review. Well, he's getting his wish now, like it or not. After canceling the order, about a month later, they shipped the item anyway and charged my credit card. I am issuing a dispute with my credit card company as I type this. Do NOT buy from these people. They are a SCAM. Any positive reivews you find on here for them are most likely written by the scammers themselves.
***AVOID AVOID AVOID***"

"DO NOT BUY FROM MYRTLE ELECTRONICS!!!
I purchased a camera from them and after weeks of phone calls promising shipping information and the safe arrival of my camera, I am left with a canceled credit card and no camera.
They charged me under "Hot Buy Electronics" so I would stay away from that company as well!!!

"I ordered $1500 worth of Nikon Equipment and was sent an email confirmation. A guy from the comapany called me immediately to confirm the purchase, and proceeded to ask if I wanted the US version with a Warranty or not.. and I knew at this point I was going to have trouble.

The price then was about what the other vendors had, and his price was not very good, and the website did not mention this at all.

The order seemed to take forever to ship, and there are no communications from the company. I called them numerous times, and their support and service is horrible. I was billed immediately for it, and it shipped later in the week, but after many calls to them.

When I saw my Credit Card Statement, it said Hot Buys, which when you look at reviews here, this is a bad company to deal with. Basically I think it is the same company, just different fronts.

I finally pried a tracking number out of the unfriendly people there, and then I found that my $1500 purchased was delivered to some guy in a completely different state.

They did correct it, and finally got my equipment. The packing for this type of equipment was unreal. A huge diaper cardboard box with no, I say NO packing, just the two loose boxes floating around inside.

This company is not a complete scam, they exsist, but I will never do business with them again, and never ever recommend them to anyone. Pay a few extra bucks and go with one of the big name stores."

"DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY OR A COMPANY CALLED 'HOT BUYS ELECTRONICS'!!! THIS IS A FRAUDULENT WEBSITE AND YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF!!!!

i recently purchased a camera from this company online. i received a confirmation email with an invoice number and it said that the tracking information would follow shortly. well, i never received any form of a tracking number and after a couple of weeks, i saw that the transaction went through on my bank account as 'hot buys electronics.' i contacted myrtle electronics on several occasions and requested that they send me an email with my shipping information. i NEVER received it. i called them again yesterday and found that the camera hadn't even been shipped yet!!! once again, i requested that they give me the tracking information. never received it. i trIed calling them again TODAY, but found that their office was closed and there was no way to leave a message. through further digging, i was able to find a number that wasn't the 800 number, contacted the company called 'myrtle electronics' out of brooklyn, ny and found out that they were not affiliated and they don't even HAVE a website!!!! so now i have contacted my bank and had to file a fraudulent claim, which they have begun processing.

word of advice to ANYONE doing online shopping from the online 'mom & pop' stores - RESEARCH the company to ensure that they are in fact a legitimate company before processing any transactions!!! "
