"These people are frauds and thieves. The phone was sold as new, but was obviously used. It was missing the back cover and therefore useless. The order was missing several other items.

I returned the telephone via FEDEX the next day, with an RMA number provided by myworldphone.com.

It is now 2 full months later. They do not answer emails. When called on the telephone, they place you on hold for 10 minutes then disconnect the call.

These people stole $263 from me. They are liars and thieves. I have filed a complaint with the NY Atty. General's office. Stay far, far away."

"I just received my "third" non-working Motorola cell phone from Empire Global Tech, Inc. or myworldphone.com. Two of the three phones also had either cracks or scratches in them. The third phone is an exchange of the second phone and neither box had the car charger I had purchased. I do not recommend this company. Motorola informed me "please note that Empire Global Tech is not a Motorola authorized dealer." I wonder where they get the thousands of phones that they sell?"

"I had a very bad experience with MyWorldPhone

I bought a Motorola Razr V3 light pink:
$162+$35shipping = $197
-it came without battery in the box
-the box was not new
-the color was not light pink, like the photo and description shows, but it was much darker
-the phone did not seem new, because the protectiv tape was partly torn off...

I attempted to return it, and spent a lot of time on the phone, finally got a RMA #, but on the phone I argued I had the right to a full refund (what they sent me was not what they promised, the battery was missing, therefore they should not charge me restocking fees).
Anyway, they still did not assure me they would give me 100% refund.
Waited a couple of weeks, they got the phone,
I could track it with UPS (UPS track # 1z94xw454298978511), I called and they could not find my phone, asked me to call back in a couple of days, I called back and they said they would refund me in 48hours. I waited over 48 hours, checked but no signs of refund, call again, and again asked to wait 48 hours. Finally called credit card company, and disputed the charge. Still waiting for final resolution.

"The 8801 is packed full of features, including instant messaging and SMS, a camera, an MP3 player, an FM radio (only with a headset), and a beautiful 1.75-inch, 265,000-color screen. The 8801 does not have any expandable memory options, but does have 64MB of storage built into the phone for your videos, pictures, and MP3s.

Despite its great look and numerous features, I wasn't nearly as impressed with the overall usability of the phone. Like the rest of the handset, the keypad is well made--it's laser cut and has a gentle feel. Unfortunately, it's very little, and the bottom row of number keys is set too close to the housing, which can make typing difficult. The 8801 also includes a four-way navigation button for scrolling through menus, but it's also quite small and can be frustrating to use.

The 0.5-megapixel camera takes adequate snapshots but lacks a dedicated access button. Like many cell phone cameras, this one suffers from a disappointing shutter lag, so capturing moving subjects is hard.

Overall, the 8801's physical design is well done, and the handset is very pleasant to use. This phone is like an expensive gold watch: A cheap digital watch will tell you the time, but not with the same class. If you're buying this phone solely for its looks, you'll likely enjoy it. But if you're in the market for a more affordable device, you'll find many that work just as well as the pricey 8801 does. Hm.. what else, got it from myworldphone.co mwithin two days, good price too. they are around for like 8 years and so on.."

"nok n80 phoneis the butchers meat i had it 4 like 3 months and i LOVE IT like food yum yum yum lol its the best phone, features are excellent and batery life is phenomenol music quality is also top! i reccomend this phone 2 everyone happy meating this phone the besttt tnx nok & myworldphone. 24hr got the phone after payment. On the whole I like this phone. The battery life is ok and improves with correct charging. Major gripe is there is no text reminder, it doesn't beep if you missed it coming in and I can't find a programme to buy that will do this. Also have to use it on 2G usually as the 3G often looses connectivity. No crashes, I've had the phone 3 months. Slide doesn't lock down as securely as I'd like. The connectivity to the pc is stable unlike my previous motoralas. Software included is basic, not even a good alarm, without having to buy one but loads of stuff you wouldn't use. Style, keypad, screen and camera are lovely. not bad.

"Me and my K800i Black. From Myworldphone. got shipment within 24 hours of ordering it.
Having recently renewed my contract with Orange (who I was going to leave following a pretty shoddy first year of contract until they went all Marlon Brando in 'The Godfather' on me… No… They didn't have me wake up to a horse's head in my bed! They simply gave me an offer I couldn't refuse…) upgraded my mobile phone from the Sony Ericsson W800i which had been fairly problematic at times to the Sony Ericsson K800i.

It's a phone that I quite liked the look of but the fact that it features a 3.2 mega pixel digital camera was something that I loved the thought of - having had a 2 mega pixel camera on the W800i that gave some pretty good results, I thought moving up to 3.2 mega pixels would be amazing. That said, I have read online that the camera is in fact only 3.15 mega pixel but that's as near as damn it to 3.2 mega pixel, I suppose!

THE LOOK

The handset is slightly bigger than the W800i but looks quite nice and stylish with a black and silver casing. The keys are quite small and closely packed together and as a result using the phone can sometimes be a little on the fiddly side.

THE CAMERA

The back of the phone is quite nice to look at too. This is where the 3.2 mega pixel Cyber-Shot™ camera is situated - this is accessible via a small sliding piece of plastic that protects the lens when the camera is not in use. The W800i that I used to own used very bright LEDs as a flash (and could also double them up as a fully-fledged light which could be very useful from time to time - which is something missing from the K800i that I do miss) whereas the K800i has a proper camera flash. The Xenon flash is like that on a dedicated digital camera and allows flash photography as well as a double flash for red-eye reduction.

The flash is very bright and more than admirably does the job - the problem being that it sometimes does the job too well. The closer the subject is to you when you take a photo with the flash activated, the more they will look like a hugely bright white blob - unless of course any of your friends are bright white blobs - in which case, there's no need to panic.

Having taken a few shots with the 3.3 mega pixel camera, I can say that the results are pretty bloody lovely, all in all. The colours are caught perfectly and as the resolution is up to 2048x1536 pixels, they will print out very nicely too - assuming that you have a printer that prints photo quality (see my Epson RX425 3-in-one combo review as this is the machine I use that prints photo quality images very nicely indeed and also comes recommended by yours truly!).

The camera allows you lots of different options when taking photos:

VIDEO MODE

Film in either 10 second bursts of video for MMS messages or unlimited video (memory dependant) for other video filming.

Focusing including: Auto, macro and infinite settings
Image stabiliser.

Night Mode

Effects including: Black & white, negative, sepia and solarize

White balance

Turn mic on/off

PANORAMA: This lets you take up to three pictures that can be joined together at the point of taking them to make up one large panoramic image! This generally works very well and can lead to some very nice results though these can depend greatly on the lighting of each individual image (sometimes they don't quite match) and on how steady your hand is when taking them!

FRAMES: This allows you to put pictures of people into novelty frames - such as their face on a cartoon Elvis Presley or onto a cartoon astronaut etc! This can be quite entertaining initially but can become a little boring quite fast.

OTHER FEATURES

I phoned Orange about this issue to ask if there was a way to disable the internet button or designate it with another use but they said this is not possible and that the only way to stop the internet issue would be to remove the internet service from my phone altogether. I decided that this was not an option as MMS picture messaging requires the internet to send and receive images.

Orange gave me the number to Sony Ericsson to see if they could advise me if there was an alternative. They too advised me this could not be changed.

At my wits end, I called Orange back and spoke to an agent there who advised me of a way to side-step the issue as opposed to resolving it. He said you can change the settings so the internet can't connect - but you must remember the original settings to make it work again.

As I said, this INFERNAL button id the only thing I truly HATE about the K800i… other than that, it is a lovely phone. I have heard that not all network providers have the stupid internet button on the main keypad and have substituted it with another button and purpose. I would whole-heartedly advise you to check this out if you like me are likely to be driven mad by his feature!"

"Long been waiting to get a casino royale version of the phone since the movie started its preview, its called sony ericsson k800i casino royale. I have called several company to see if anyone has it. I called up my American Express black card for any info on it, and they referred me to myworldphone.com, ordered the phone and got the phone the next day (of course i paid next day shipping $$).. excellent service, satisfied customer. Thanks.

Here is a small review about the phone:
Sony Ericsson presented the K800 as their latest shooter to replace your pocket camera, as well as a lot of other multimedia gadgets you've got used to carrying with you, and it combines their functionality in a single device. The successor of the K750 upgrades the camera resolution from 2 to 3.2 mega pixels and replaces the ordinary LED flash with the Xenon one, which is like the ones used in stand-alone cameras.

Carrying the “Cyber-Shot” branding, the Sony Ericsson K800 is the first handset of the manufacturer's multimedia series designed as “cameraphones” (Sony's digital camera line is also called Cyber-Shot). It is similar to the Walkman series which consist of music-oriented phones that the Japaneese-Swedish company offers with great success, including on the US market (through the W600 that was launched with Cingular). As a multimedia-oriented phone, the K800 pays attention to music too so it comes with stereo headphones (well they're definitely not the best ones), as well as a PC connection cable for transferring multimedia content between the phone and the PC."

"REPORT THIS COMPANY TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU IF YOU HAVE BEEN SCAMMED! (it only costs 5 dollars) THEY ARE SCAMMERS! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM IF YOUR LOOKING TO! Here is my story:

I had been looking at phones from myworldphone.com for some time. They had good prices and the phone I wanted (Nokia 6101). I made a paypal account like they recommended and ordered my phone, a sim card, and a sim backup. Once the order was recieved I was supposed to recieve my phone within 2 business days.

Of course I did not recieve my phone within the 2 business days. On the third day I emailed customer service only to find that the email address was not valid. So I called customer service to check the status of my order.

The first time I called, the representative claimed she couldn't hear me. She sounded very young and unprofessional. I called back to a different number. The man I spoke to told me that because I ordered my phone over the internet through paypal that it would take an extra 2 day for me to recieve my phone. This was not as they stated on their website. This was the 3rd red flag so I decided to investigate and came across this website. I was horrified at what I saw, terribly worried that the same thing was happening to me.

I recieved my phone 2 days later. I recieved everything that I was supposed to. The charger had an adapter. It was obviously not intended for outlets in the US and the charger didn't work even with the adapter. I got my phone activated. I was able to start setting my phone up and sent and recieved 1 text message before the phone started going bad. It started locking up for no reason and then would not recognize my sim card. All the normal fixes did not work. At this time I had to leave on a trip that I had purchased my phone for and was not able to send the phone back for exchange/refund within the 5-day period.

When I got back I took my phone to a Nokia dealer and they confirmed that it was the phone and not the sim card. After several calls to Nokia, I found out that the phone was still under warranty. I thought I was saved and sent the phone in for repairs.

After a month of getting the run-around with Nokia (they misplaced my phone, no callbacks, no feedback whatsoever beside that they had my phone per my tracking number) they said my phone had liquid damage and that is not covered under the warranty. Now I'm out of 200+ bucks and alot of frustration. All I have got now is a phone that doesn't work with no more available options to get a working phone.

What I did do is spend 5 dollars to report myworldphone.com to the Better Business Bureau. If you are in (or have been) in the same situation with this company I suggest you spend the 5 dollars and REPORT THEM. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM, AND SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. Document everything you can about your dealings with this company and report them. They have been reported, but more reports will only help. Be active, post here and report them. Companies like this should not exist. Do your part. Help shut them down. I personally am hoping they get sued and shut down for their bad business practices. I've never dealt with a company so consistently corrupt and hope I never have to again."

"Took a while to deliver but I finally got it. Had to do an exchange because the initial product they sent me was defective. Both phones that they sent me were used with scratches on them. Boxes have been opened before and were missing parts. Altogether, I spent $80 on shipping to and from me and got a working phone three weeks after the initial order. Customer service is very bad. They will actually hang up on you and threaten to not go through with the exchange if you open a paypal dispute. Overall, I would avoid this store. I will never buy from them again."

"Myworldphone.com is a complete scammer. never ever buy from them. They are CROOKS. Let me tell you my story. myworldphone.com is selling motorola razr v3 in different colors like green, red, and orange. Motorola never officially released these color for razr v3. Until a couple of days back, I didn't know this fact and bought twenty razr v3 in different colors. I buy in bulk and sell in Jamaica and south america. Not knowing these phones second-hand phone and that they have been re-housed, I had seven defective phones. I called them at least 100 times and everytime I call someone tells me to call back again. After getting so many run-around, I physically went to their home-based business. This was my worst decision ever to go back to these people. They pushed me out of office, called me ‘nigger’ and told me go back to Africa. I was never embarrassed in such a way. Don’t worry…I told all my Jamaican friends not go to them. And I’m telling you guys, if you read the reviews about these guys they are biggest scammers. Never ever buy from myworldphone.com. they sell refurbished phones that’s why their price is so cheap."

"They're not that bad after all. I do recommend them to my friends at time to time because they usually do have the newest phones available, and sometimes phones that aren't being offered with AT&T or T-Mobile or phones that haven't even hit the market yet. Yeah we're in OK standings, I do visit them at time to time and purchase accessories and things like that."
