"Purchased an Intel iMac 24 inch model. Within a day had confirmation of shipping, and then - believe there was a weekend in between - received an email that very professionally identified the actual unit as differing slightly from what had been posted. They wanted to know if I still wanted to proceed w the purchase. After I identified that I still wanted it, it was shipped quickly. The item was exactly as described (in the second email), and we have been satisfied w the purchase. Two minor caveats: They ship UPS as primary shipper - and will not let you waive signature. In our area that often is an issue (with UPS - not w the sellers), and we ended up having to go to the UPS shipping dock to obtain the package. I would like more control over shipping, and increased ability to alter delivery options (at my risk). Secondly, the unit came with Tiger basic version. Just upgrading that through software update took about three hours - even though we have cable DSL. It would be nice if they at least would upgrade the OS to the most current update. Not the end of the world, but an inconvenience nevertheless. Would definitely do business with these folks again! "
"I gave this company the benefit of the doubt, and ordered an 17" iMac core 2 duo. The superdrive died the day I received the product. It was also packed in a haphazard manner. I really could not go without a computer for a long time, so I took the iMac to Mac-Pro solutions in Richmond, VA. In repairing the machine the Apple certified tech noted the following: "Sata connector on logic board was faulty, the screen was not the original and the EMI shielding was torn off." The tech also noted that several cables had to be rearranged and believed the cord for the optical drive was being crushed." Do yourself a favor and avoid Mac of all Trades at all costs, unless your money means nothing to you. "

"I received a Mac Pro Dual 2-Core 2.66 from this company a few months ago. The physical condition was listed as good, but I would have called it average...it was scuffed and scratched all over and bent at the superdrive door to the point where the drive tray gets stuck occasionally. The mighty mouse track ball doesn't work properly when scrolling up. It came with silver "Warranty Void if Opened" stickers all over exterior and interior of the unit, which leave residue all over the unit. The warranty is only 30 days, so I waited until opening it to add a hard drive. When I did, I found two missing drive sleds. The hard drive I added initially didn't work in bay 2, but did in bay 3. I contacted customer service who immediately replied that the unit was out of warranty. After a lot of back and forth, they asked me to take it to the Apple Store to get it diagnosed. In the meantime, the Seagate drive I purchased was too loud so returned it for a WD, which ended up working in Bay 2, after all. I asked if they could send me the drive sleds and ensure they were labelled 1 and 3. They sent them labelled 2 and 4...the ones I already had, saying they were "interchangeable." This company is piecing computers together from what I later gathered and they don't seem to care if the unit is complete or not when they send it. They don't understand customer service and they are way too quick to hide behind their 30 day "warranty." I regret this purchase and will not consider them again. Spend the extra money and give it to a company that understands service."
"they are an excellent company. My laptop, Powerbook G4, arrived in excellent condition. However, the battery was defective. I called them immediately and they sent me a new one to replace it even though batteries are not normally covered under their warranty. No arguments! They are very helpful over the phone as well. highly recommended."
"This was the best online shopping experience I have had in a long time. I placed my order and after receiving the confirmation I realized I wanted to add another item to the order. I immediately contacted them via e-mail asking them to add the additional item. They responded quickly and about a day later the order was shipped. When it arrived it was exactly what I wanted and included both items. It was wrapped like nothing I have ever seen before. They are truly professionals and take pride in what they do. I will continue to shop with them for any MAC needs that I may have in the future."
"I would splurge and the get the warranty. I bought a laptop from them and had battery problems right away. They kindly sent me a new battery right away. But I always had keyboard problems with the computer and when I closed the lap top one night, I heard a pop, and the screen was cracked. One of the keys, I guess, had gotten loose and this caused the screen to crack. Their response when I told them the screen was cracked? "Sorry for the inconvenience." Not the best way to handle a problem like this. "
"I had never heard of or dealt with Mac of All Trades before finding them on a Google search for selling my 2-year-old used MAC Pro and two 30" Apple video displays plus a wireless base station. I was concerned about getting fair value for the machine because had installed a second hard drive for internal backup, aded extra RAM and upgraded the video card for multiple displays. I was pleasantly surprised to encounter a sale process that was fast, easy, professional and fair. I gave detailed and complete descriptions of the equipment I had and the condition of each component, all in like new condition. I asked for bids from four companies; MoAT responded the fastest. One said they didn't want the equipment. Another offered a very low price and the fourth never responded with a bid. I received detailed instructions for packing and shipping that were clear and easy to follow. I had all the original boxes and packing, which made the packing and shipping easier, but the instructions included what I should do if I did not have the original boxes. (MoAT sells MAC boxes for fair prices.)I received email updates as the equipment was received, tested and paid for. I received my check when I was supposed to and for the right amount. I would definitely recommend Mac of All Trades to anyone who wants to sell a used Mac in good condition. I couldn't reasonably ask for a better experience than I had. I am very satisfied and would use the service again if I needed to."
"I ordered a pre-owned Power Mac G5 2.3 dual processor CPU from Mac of all Trades. When I got it, I plugged it in, hit the power button and—nothing. I contacted them and got prompt advice on what to do without voiding my warranty, and, when that failed, I got an RMA, also very promptly.
When Mac of all Trades got the machine, of course, it started up perfectly for them. Still, rather than blaming me, they shipped me another, identical machine, also extremely promptly. This one came on first go, and I'm writing this review on it. So far it runs like a dream.
So I have to say I am extremely impressed with the Mac of all Trades service, prices, warranty offers and the simple courtesy of its staff. If I ever need another machine, they will definitely be at the very top of my list."
"Have been thinking of selling my Macs to Mac of All Trades for some time. With the release of the new MacBook Pro from Apple, I decided to finally give it a go. Yes, there's eBay but this seemed quicker and their offers are very fair. I sold a Mac Pro, MacBook, MacBook Air, and a 20" Flat Screen monitor for a price I was very pleased with. I did not have the original box for the Mac Pro but thankfully they sell them. They were very prompt with the shipment of the box, within days I had the box and was ready to ship the Mac Pro. They also worked with me, since I didn't have the Pro box, they allowed me to ship just the two laptops and once received, sent me one check for those two. After they received the Pro and the monitor, they mailed the check for those two. Both checks were mailed one day after they received my shipment and I was always kept informed via email of the status. NO complaints what-so-ever and would gladly do business with them again. Prompt, friendly, and professional. Great company to do business with!"
"I ordered a pre-owned G4 iMac from these guys last month and received a terrific computer for a fair price. The iMac was clean, with almost no scratches or blemishes of any kind, just as described. The computer was packed very well and shipped promptly. They sent emails to keep me informed as my order was received, processed and shipped. I would not hesitate to do business with Mac of All Trades again in the future."
"I didn't know a thing about these guys, so I felt I might be taking a chance to trust them. After all, I was sending a lot of stuff at my expense and trusting them to evaluate it fairly and then, send me a check. They were very fair and very quick to write the check and send it to me. I'd give them a 10 out of 10 rating."
"I ordered a MacBook. Arrived when it should have, worked great for about 5 weeks. Sure enough, the keyboard started working erratically, then stopped working all together. Then, the mouse pad stopped working.
Awaiting to see how they are going to handle the situation.
When I initially contacted them, they were vague and non specific whether or not it would be fixed free of charge since it was outside the 30 day period. Rather then send it to them not knowing if I would get a bill or not, I simply took it to the apple store to get it repaired. I was THEN contacted by them asking why I "slammed" them when I wrote this less than positive review about them. I don't exactly consider this to be very service orientated, nor professional to be contacted by them and asked why I "slammed" them on the internet for poor service.
If they would have been more upfront and told me that YES, it would be fixed free of charge, or NO it won't, I would be happier with the service I received from them. The rep also made it appears that it was my fault that I did not send it back to them and it would have been fixed for free. Had that been communicated to me, I would be happier with them. "

"I have bought and sold Macs with this company for many years. My most recent purchase was an iMac. It arrived in the original box!! I know that is a rare event but for us Mac enthusiasts...it means a lot! I contacted MOAT to get help with choosing the right machine. Their rep, Daniel was so wonderful! He was patient and so knowledgeable and...steered me toward the best machine - within my budget! These guys rock! You won't be disappointed. They have always stood behind what they sell - sometimes they even go above and beyond!"
"Mac of all trades is an excellent solution for selling your used macs. I sent them the specs for my iMac, and within hours I had a quote. Again within hours of my accepting the quote I was emailed detailed instructions and paperwork promptly. Shipped the computer on a tuesday, the following week I had payment confirmation and a word of thanks from the company. All in all, a breeze, I'd recommend them to anyone looking to sell their mac ridiculously fast for a fair price."
""Tremendous customer service! Very personable and caring about your order. I received my MacOfAllTrades purchase and was pleased with the fact that the system was clean and in great condition. There was a defect with the SuperDrive. It didn't burn DVDs. They troubleshooted the problem with me via a quick emailing session and sent out a new drive to replace it immediately. I would recommend MacOfAllTrades to anyone looking for a great deal on a Mac. Not only great products and a great price, but great service as well.""
