"****Warning***** They do not honor Warranties*******
I have had the 12mm Buckingham St. James Collection for a little of a year. I have extensive warping in multiple locations on the floor. I contacted the 30 year warranty claims department and they do not honor their warranty. I am in the midst of complaining to multiple companies including Lumber Liquidators/dream Home the BBB and anyone else who will listen. I am very upset that flooring just over a year old did not resist snow on my shoes, or any moisture for that matter. Lumber Liquidators warranty voids itself when water damage/ moisture ingress occurs so the warranty, when read thoroughly is actually just a sheet of paper that means nothing. Please do not buy this product, save yourself the headache. If anyone else has a story like mine, please keep posting, people should be aware. If you want to know for yourself, as for the warranty in print prior to purchasing.. It says moisture ingress is excluded so any water damage on the top of the boards is excluded, even though its guaranteed for 30 years to resist water damage.. If you do purchase, best of luck!

11/30/2011 update:
2 years ago I purchased Dream Home St. James 12 mm Buckingham oak. After 6 months the floor began to warp whenever moisture came into contact. 2 years later the floor needs to be replaced, I have been fighting with them for over a year to get it covered under my warranty and recently contacted Action News to report them for consumer reports. They are now sending someone to review the floor. I am interested in pursuing them if they do not replace my floor. I am interested in finding others that are having a similar issue since they have told me that no one ever has a problem with this floor.

Please contact me at luckyopal@hotmail.com if you have had a similar experience with moisture. "

"We recently made an online internet order for cork flooring. Our experience was poor. The product came almost 1 month late. There was no warning of delivery problems and not much help from the delivery store. We were beginning to think that this store might be a bogus money losing adventure."

"Never buy from Lumber Liquidators, they have the worst customer service and poor products. I just wasted $4000 on new hardwood floor, but the quality of the wood that I received was very bad and did not match the quality of the displayed sample in the showroom. Stay away from this company."

"DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE CROOKS!!! DID NOT HAVE THE MERCHANDISE AVAILABLE TO GIVE ME - AFTER I'D ALREADY PAID FOR IT A MONTH EARLIER. I'M STILL TRYING TO GET A REFUND OF $300 DOLLARS AND HAVE HEARD EVERY EXCUSE IN THE BOOK. THEY LIE AND PASS YOU FROM ONE PERSON TO ANOTHER. I WILL TAKE THEM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT AND WILL SURELY WIN. WHAT A HASSLE! SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF GRIEF AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. IT'S NOT WORTH THE HEARTACHE."

"WARRANTY Installed 4-2009

Just started warranty process Okay here is the deal. Lumber Liquidators does not - I Repeat Does Not Honor Warranties in Store.

1. Went to Store to talk about someone coming out
to see problem. I made sure all the customers
in the store getting ready to buy to listen in.

2. Employee says that I must contact their main
office. (Thats beyond me ? I bought the floor
right here at this store)

2. You must contact their main corporate office.

3. Sent a email to their main corporate office as
instructed by their store employee.

4. You should have seen the email they sent back
"which was not a fill out a form letter".

5. The letter has no numbers on the list , but
18 items (again no form what so ever).

6. I made a list and numbered it 1 - 18 and sent
back the information required by them.

7. Just a note here I have already made contact
with 2 Lumber Liquidator Employees already.

8. and now have been told that after I returned
the list then they would (probably by mail) a
form to fill out.

9. Dah I wonder why that was not given to me in
the first place.

10. Okay its day 3 now, early and have not heard
back from their corporate office yet but
probably will.
11. Looks like my wife and I have a long way to go
just to get one of their representatives out
to the house.

This is why I am writing about Lumber Liquidators Warranty so you can make, and have a choice where you purchase your next floor.

"Worst customer service that I've ever seen.

When I tried to pick up an order from one of the stores, the store manager persuaded me to submit a new order because "they were upgrading their software and couldn't retrieve my order information", saying I could easily cancel the internet order.

However, one month passed, 4-5 phone calls have been made, still they haven't refund the credit back.

Horrible customer service, they reverted my call to who is not available at all, even though I asked him and her not to do so. I wanted to speak with their manager."

"The bamboo flooring that I purchase from Lumber Liquidators has been actually quite nice and I am very satisfied with it - at least, so far.
The problem I have had with them is that I returned about $300 worth of unused materials and a month later, they have yet to refund me my money! I keep calling and they keep assuring me that they will look into it and get back to me, but no one ever does. They are just awful to do business with, but the bamboo flooring that I bought did turn out to be just great. It was certainly no bargain, but it is good stuff and will hopefully hold up well."

Hello Chris,
I placed and order with you almost 2 weeks ago, one of the main reasons I placed this order with Lumber Liquidators was that you told me that It will arrive to the store in Brooklyn this week.
After calling last week to check up on the status of the order, I spoke to one of your sales reps, (what a joker this guy is, I think his name is William) he makes jokes over the phone, telling me "oh Boy, that he thinks there is no way the shipment will arrive this week yada yada yada"
I call again today and the same guy gets on the phone, again with the stupid jokes" Brooklyn, Brooklyn, Brooklyn" repeating the word Brooklyn in a funny voice at least 15times, again not serious, giving me some kind of bs excuse as to why there is no shipment yada yada yada, and telling me that the shipment will arrive only by the 13th of the month.
This is ridicules and extremely unprofessional on behalf of Lumber Liquidators. I have a business scheduled to open on the 15th of the month, but thanks to the extreme unprofetionalizm of Lumber Liquidators I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO SO.
Needless to say it is to late for me to cancel the order, but I have learned my lesson and will never ever use Lumber Liquidators and will spread the negative word to all my business contacts, associates, family members, friends regarding this matter.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH LUMBER LIQUDATORS, YOU SCREWD ME OVER BIG TIME.

"We ordered about $18,000 worth of the carbonized bamboo. The wood color and tones of the floor are gorgeous, however the finish on it is inferior to any wood floor we have ever seen. The finish looks like they missed a step in the process and it is very porous and rough. This being said there is no way to clean the floor and have it look nice. We have only used recommended products and tried everything but the floor looks awful. Everyday when I walk through my beautiful home it just makes me sick to see the floor and knowing that I can’t get it to look cleaned. I would never put this floor down in my home again. We have tried to work with lumber liquidators on this problem and they blame us for what we have used on the floor, yet there is plenty of floor under rugs and such that have had no product on them and they have the same inferior finish. We have yet to decide whether we should pursue legal action. "
