"I ordered an Ashly XR-1001 Crossover on April 6th, 2010 which was listed in stock at the store's website. I received an email from Shawn D two days later stating that it was out of stock and they would receive it "in the next few days". I said I would wait. 3 weeks later I had heard nothing and inquired about the status again. Was told again they were still waiting. This went on awhile. June 15th my order was cancelled by the store with no explanation. I suspect they had no intention of ordering from the manufacturer because their offered price is too low. The store still lists the item I ordered in stock, which I was supposedly waiting for on backorder for over _two_ _months_ as a bait and switch tactic just to attract viewers to the store. I recommend you stay away from this store at all costs."
"I placed an order for the Numark OmniControl on a saturday. The following monday morning i received a shipment notification and my tracking number was sent the following day. It turns out i didn't really needed it cuz i got the unit the following afternoon :-). Loved the fast service and the price!"
"I was looking for professional DJ headphones for sometime and I saw a pair of Pioneer HDJ 2000 headphones on their website what were listed almost $100 cheaper than most other stores and dealers. I checked with the store if they had it in stock and within 15 minutes i get an E-mail from Shawn D that they are authentic and factory sealed product. I placed the order through regular ground shipping and received them in 2 days. Could not be happier and would love to shop from them again.
I spent quite a lot of time researching the new PA system my bandmate and I were going to purchase. We tested all the big names in a local Sam Ash here in Clearwater, FL. Once we narrowed our choice down, I began searching for the lowest prices I could find on each item, online using Google Shopping. DJToys.com came up as the low-price leader in every component. We purchased one new Crown XTi 4000 power amp, two EV TourX TX2181 Dual 18" sub woofer cabs, and two EV TourX TX1152 top cabs. With the tax break and even including shipping of $288, Shawn still saved us a LOT of money. Isn't that what it's about these days? Retail stores that sell items at a mark-up of 20% to 40% are going to eventually lose out because there are businessmen out there like Shawn and myself, who are totally comfortable with making a few dollars profit on big ticket items and our overhead is very low. My items were ordered on a Tuesday and I had everything in-hand the following Monday (and that was due to my being out of town and unable to receive the speakers that arrived on Friday). Shawn personally saw to every detail of my order and made me feel comforable and confident with sending a pretty sizable amount of money via Pay Pal. I would not only recommend either of his companies to my closest friends and music business associates, but I will be ordering from him again and again. Five out of five stars... Thanks Shawn!"

"I am very happy I went with this company. I was very hesitant about using dj toys becaause they don't have many reviews so I emailed them to make sure my karaoke system will come on time for our event. David emailed me back within half an hour that the item would indeed arrive on time with ground delivery. I placed the order on their website which was very easy and got a confirmation email right away. The machine arrived a couple of days earlier than expected. If you are looking for a good deal go with these guys."
I ordered a BCF2000 which they said was in stock and paid for 2-day shipping so that I could have it for a recording session that weekend. They sent me an e-mail saying it was backordered and asked if I still wanted it. I told them I did, looking past their poor inventory control. About a week later they tell me they shipped the item. The package arrived several days later and it contained the wrong item. The item they sent me was the BCF2000 WH: The white version of the product I ordered which comes in a dark navy blue. Considering my studio equipment is in a black desk and this BCF2000 was to sit next to my pre-existing BCF2000 in navy blue, I was not going to accept the wrong color.
I e-mailed them to tell them they sent me the wrong item, and they tried to get me to pay for the shipping to fix their mistake! It wasn't even an offer to reimburse my shipping costs, they refused to pay the shipping in order to keep their prices low. After the first e-mail response they stopped responding for about a week. I tried several e-mails and called every day during their listed business hours. They never once answered any of my at least a dozen calls. They never returned the messages either. Every few days they'd get around to responding to my e-mails saying they couldn't pay for the shipping. After that they started to ignore me again. It took until I disputed the charge on my credit card before they took any more action. Unfortunately my credit card company made me ship the item back to them at my expense before they could act on the dispute. After I did I got an e-mail back from Karaokeequipment.com asking me if I had sent the item back to them yet. Once they got the item back they returned my cash, but I was still out $15 for shipping it to them. I've never had such problems with a company before.
I'm not the type to complain - I work retail and deal with returns and mail orders all day. I was looking for an exchange for the correct product, nothing more. This company's customer service was wretched and extremely unprofessional.
I dealt with Shawn D originally and later a guy named Joe Ben e-mailed me. I suspect they're the same person since after digging deeper for more info about the parent company (S&Y online ventures) is owned by a guy named Shaun Young who has been known to use many aliases and has a track record of poor customer service.
Don't make the same mistake I did! Shop somewhere else!"

"This company really knows customer service. I had a problem with my credit card company and they helped me take care of the issue. Shawn D. was awesome and followed through until the problem was taken care of. thanks a bunch!"
