"House of Computers was very dishonest in their dealings with me. I ordered a DVD/CD-RW combo drive with no upgrades (software, cables, etc.). The next day I received a nearly unintelligible (due to grammar and spelling errors) e-mail stating that the item I had ordered was not in stock, but that a different item, costing $6 more, was. They asked if I wanted this other item. I did some research and discovered that the other drive was in fact the exact drive I had ordered, except with a piece of software added in for extra cost. I responded to the e-mail, asking that my original order be honored, since they actually did have the drive I ordered. Receiving no response after a few days, I cancelled my order. The only thing this company did right was cancell my order promptly when I asked them to. DO NOT BUY FROM HOUSE OF COMPUTERS!"

"Order a universal ac adapter because the price was right. Shipping was more than it should have been but still it was a pretty good deal. Prompt delivery."

"Like many other raters, I was quoted a much higher shipping price than pricewatch, bringing the total $15 over the pricewatch price. I called them, and a person on a speakerphone looked the item up and gruffly informed me that this price was right. I objected, and he told me to put the pricewatch price in the comment section, I did, and guess what? They are "out of stock!" Even though I talked to them 10 minutes earlier. The irem is STILL LISTED on pricewatch, and the order on the website still takes (no "out of stock" message, like when things are really out of stock.) Bad business -- stay away."
