"Placed two separate orders on same day with this place on Oct 20 2006. It is now Feb 13 2007 and still have not received anything even though the website says I should have received no later than Jan 26th. Put in order status request using online form but no response. Place is a scam, do not order anything from them.

"I ordered several different magazines from Half Priced Mags on August 22, 2006. My credit card was charged the same day. It is now almost 5 months later and I have yet to receive my magazines. I also have sent them e-mails FIVE times and got a response once, saying they would try to expedite the order. Expedite? After 4 months? I tried to call the 888 number (888-720-6298) that was on the credit card under "my1mag.com" (the merchant name), but like the stories below - the voicebox was full. Today I filed a complaint with The Better Business Bureau. The adress is www.greensboro.bbb.org/. When you click on file a complaint type in "my 1 mag" if you look at your credit card statement that is the name of the company that took your money. You will see thae name of the company and the address pop up. The rest of the form is self-explanatory. Hopefully, they will refund my money this way."

"SCAM! I, too, got burned by halfpricedmags.com. I ordered a magazine subscription on 8/08/06 and stil have not received it. I have sent numerous e-mails to them with no reply. I want to file a complaint with the BBB but their form says I need to have an address and phone number. Does anyone know what to do if I don't have those? Please DO NOT order anything from this crooked company! How can they keep getting away with this?????"

"I, too, bought before I read reviews. PLEASE don't buy from this company. They ripped me off for a relatively small amount, but looks like several others have been ripped off for much more. "

"I am yet another person who didn't do thorough research before purchasing a magazine subscription through these guys. I made my purchase in July but since my magazine only has 7 issues per year, they said my subscription could take up to 16 weeks to process!! Well this time has passed and I was trying to contact them about when I would get my subscription and I ran into the same problems stated below. Luckily, my credit card company refunded my purchase, but I had to buy the individual magazines for the last four months, which probably cancelled out any savings I could have achieved with these guys. Boy did I learn my lesson... "

"I am another poor soul that was screwed over by this company. I have sent them countless emails and they refuse to respond and refund the money I spent on 2 magazine subscriptions that were never sent to me. Someone finally responded to me and said that my "order could not be processed," but never refunded me. I am so angry and will file a formal complaint with the BBB as well. I'm glad someone was able to find their contact information, because I couldn't find a working address or phone number either. Boy did I learn my lesson!"

"SCAM...SCAM...SCAM!!! I like many of you on here found out way too late that this company is a BIG scam. After days of talking with my bank and The Better Business Bureau I finally found this company's info to file a formal complaint. I encourage all of you to take the five minutes to file a complaint with BBB. The adress is www.greensboro.bbb.org/. When you click on file a complaint type in "my 1 mag" if you look at your credit card statement that is the name of the company that took your money. You will see thae name of the company and the address pop up. I am over the $35.00...at this point I want these people to be caught and punished!!! If you need more info please let me know and I will contact you!

**********UPDATE********* 12/12/2006
Today I received a letter from the Better Business Bureau stating that they had contacted this company and that they had agreed to refund my money. To my surprise, I checked my account today and my money was refunded!!
So I encourage all of you to contact the BBB to make a complaint to stop these people and to get your money back!!

"Rip-off. Waited and waited with no result. Wrote three emails with no response. Called and told mail box full, call again. Listed under my1mag.com with a phone number of 888-720-6298. Had Master Card Reverse charges. Don't use."

"RIPPED OFF. I purchased a 3 year renewal subscription to a woodworking magazine, in Aug 06, for almost $28. I should have known the price was to good to be true. I waited the 8 weeks. The expiration date of the magazine never changed. I emailed this company 5 times with no response. I found the same phone number listed below on my credit card bill. I thought I was going to get through because the automated system told me to Press 1. Then I got the "Mailbox is full" reply. I contacted my credit card company and they told me it had been more than 60 days since the charge was made so it was to late to dispute the charge. After explaining the waiting period for magazine subscriptions they filed the dispute and I should get my money back in 6 weeks. Stay far, far away from this company. Go to the publisher or another reputable company and pay a little more."

"This site is indeed a scam. I ordered a subscription from them on July 26 and it is now November 9 and I have not received an issue. Worse, they have never answered any of my emails or order status requests. I called the phone number that the last reviewer suggested and was informed via recording that the mailbox was full and to try again another time. I doubt seriously that the mailbox will ever not be "full." Buyer beware."
