"Ordered a Garmin Nuvi 760 and stated I needed to call them to confirm the order. Told me that my Garmin had maps from 2005 and that should upgrade to 2008. I told them I thought you could do this for free and they told me you needed to order them. Also, tried to upsell me on Warranty. After coming across this site, I now know that I should not have ordered from them. Do Not order from them!"

"HD Camera World is an unscrupulous organization that cheats its customers. I placed my Canon camera order through the company's web site and received a confirmation message asking me to call their number to confirm the order. I was placed on hold and was obliged to wait a very long time before a salesperson responded. The salesperson attempted to sell me additional equipment, including a Canon battery, which was not included in the price quoted online. When I protested, he offered various lower prices and component packages. When I attempted to cancel the order, he said that the company would charge my credit card 50 per-cent of the order to cancel. When he summarized the order, he included an additional charge for insurance that I had not ordered and that was not mentioned on the web site. He also added the final total incorrectly in the company's favor.

The shipment arrived missing a necessary multimedia card. The battery and battery charger sent are cheap generic products, not Canon. The Canon camera uses four standard AA batteries. My letter to the company has not been answered. I will never do business with this company again. "

"I ordered a camcorder from this company on a Sunday and immediately received a confirmation email from them. However, down at the very bottom of the page, it tells you to call to confirm your order. When I called the next day, the person who answered tried to sell me all kinds of accessories which I did not want. Then, I was told the camera was on backorder and that they did not know when it would be in stock. I cancelled my order but never got an email confirmation of the cancellation.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL BE SORRY."

"Ordered a Garmin GPS via Internet because of lowest price. The P.O. statement asks me to call the company to validate the order; this is a warning sign. Indeed, nothing was done until I called. The salesperson tried to up-sell me a $50 map upgrade saying that the maps in the GPS are two years old. I declined the offer. The salesperson was not happy (no commission?) Then I found out that it would take 2 weeks to backorder the GPS, despite the website saying that it was still in stock. This could be a way to get customers to cancel the order for not being a sucker. I thought Garmin has a policy of providing customers 30 days to obtain free map upgrades upon product registration. "

"I ordered a gps from them and got the confirmation email with a request to "call to confirm". when i did so, the sales person tried to upsell me with an exhorbitant 3 yr warranty and maps. i know from researching the product the maps would be updated by the mfgr for free and told them so, i did take the 3 yr warranty but at a much more reasonable price than they offered it for. they did ship a brand new unit althought somehow forgot the warranty and charged an addt'l $18 for shipping above what was stated on their order confirmation - said it was insurance. uh huh, i ship packages to customers and know better. not sure i'd order from them again. we'll see how long it takes to get the warranty - also the shipping label says it's from simon silver, megawholesale out of brooklyn ny,"
