When a delay occurred in shipping, a service rep was quickly available to check on it, and patient through several emails, until she determined that bad weather in the Midwest was the cause. And in fact, the chair now is scheduled for earlier delivery than originally anticipated. These are real human beings who will do their best for you. "
"My husband and I recently ordered furniture for our living room from a local vendor, who went out of business before our furniture was delivered. As you can imagine, we were very disappointed. We knew what style and color we wanted, and we had already picked out the manufacturer. My husband began searching for websites and came across greatpricedfurniture.com. At first, I was hesitant to order large pieces of furniture online, but we were SO pleased with their service. "i was somewhat concerned after reading some of the reviews, but gave greatpricefurniture a shot. they had what i wanted at a much lower price then what the local brick and mortar store wanted. and i was willing to wait.indeed it took 5 weeks.when i received my top of the line cocktail and end table there was a small issue with one of the legs on the cocktail table. called cindy (customer care manager).she had me a replacement in a week.and now my furniture looks great at a fantastic price.excellent customer service. if you want to save money and have the patience give this co. a shot and you will not be sorry."
"Ordered a table and was still waiting after 11 weeks. Was getting nowhere with customer service. They were very polite but ineffective. I was thinking this was all complete scam and had lost all hope when the CEO intervened and turned this around, apologizing and offering a full refund. This was not a good experience but I have to give kudos to the company for admitting it's mistakes and making this right."
"My correspondence and the emails I have received from this company have been very pleasant and apologetic, however, the service has been non-existent. I ordered a couple of chairs from them. They contacted me to inform me that they did not take American Express. I gave them a Mastercard. They charged it immediately and informed me that I would receive shipping info by the end of the week. 2-3 weeks later I contacted them. They apologized and said that I would receive shipping information later in the week. It was then that I noticed that my card was charged even though the item hadn't shipped. Subsequently I emailed them requesting that they cancel my order. Their website stated that the order can be cancelled before shipment if it was not a "special order". No where in my receipt or in the information of the chairs I ordered did it indicate that they were a "special order". I received correspondence back that they would check with the finance department and get back with me. 11 days later, I still have not heard back from them. Subsequently, I filed a disputed charge with my credit card company. Still waiting for the outcome. "
"Ordered sofa & loveseat online. All seemed ok and being we already had furniture in the family room, I was not in a terrible rush. I waited about 3 weeks or so and after no contact from GPF, I decided to call the Customer Service Dept for order status. The person who answered the phone transfered me to a voice mail extension as that person was not at their desk. I left a vm and did not get a callback. Called again the next day and left another vm. Patiently waited/ no callback. Decided to email their Cusctomer Service email (which I later figured out was the best avenue to take since their reps dont return voice mail messages).Received a callback & was told that the "there was a manufacturer problem with the fabric we ordered & they would have to change the fabric & color. I had them send me the fabric in the closest color available. Wife & I decided the fabric in the color was acceptable and promptly told GPF to go ahead & place the order. Why they waited so long to inform me of this issue is a mystery; almost a full MONTH! More time went by and I tried to stay on top of them with phone messages & email. Rarely did they actually return a phone message, but almost always returned email from the Customer service email address. That was the only encouraging part of the whole ordeal. In the end it took them over 3 months to get the order into my family room. They delivered Hep Direct on a Sunday and that went smoothly. But I have to admit, even though I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt early on, that about 2 months in I started thinking internet scam. Anyway I think what they are doing is taking the order, charging the customer credit card & sitting on the interest earning money as long they possibly can; then they ship and that is the end of it. If you dont mind waiting a long time for the goods you pay for, then this is the company for you. I would say start to finish that 2 months is the absolute limit you should have to wait. Also the Customer service people were nice on the phone when you could actually find a human being to talk to & respond."
"TOTAL SCAM.delivered with missing parts, left on our front doorstep, was supposed to be put together for us, but no hardware and 2 weeks later it is still sitting in my living room. They said they would gladly refund the money, IF WE PAY TO HAVE IT SHIPPED BACK.SCAM ALERT.AVOID THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF.CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. WE CALLED TO COMPLAIN AND THEY TRIED TO SELL US OTHER FURNITURE. SCAM SCAM SCAMAVOID GREATPRICEDFURNITURE AT ALL COSTS.YOU WILL END UP PAYING FOR IT LATER ON"
"This is one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. I ordered a bakers's rack back in august and it arrived incomplete.I have called the company 4 times and e-mailed. no response to the e-mail and the service rep. Jessica promises action and does nothing. She has fialed to follow through on any thing she promises to do. Right now I have put this in to dispute with our credit card company to have the charge removed from my bill.My recommendation is to stay far away from this company. They can pay the return freight and restock charge. I am not paying for their stupidity and dishonesty. If they don't remove their garbage within the next 30 days it goes out to the trash and good riddence as far as I am concerned. "
"Was shipped two parts of a table that would not fit together. As it was unopened for 13 months, GPF told me it was "out of warranty" and that it wasn't their fault; shipped from the manufacturer. Manufacturer refuses to help; GPF refuses to intervene on behalf of their customer. I'm out $430 and have 4 chairs with no matching table."
"Ordered product from the company in the middle of July, slated for delivery on the 31st. Arrived damaged, wanted me to accept shipment - I refused. Told by manager that I could have another shipped out but had to wait 5-7 days for damage processing, another 5-8 days for them to get the shipment and another 2-3 to ship it to me. Since I needed this before my son started school, I hassled with them to get it to me sooner (by the 11th of August)or return my money. They advised that I could receive my money back minus the shipping charge from the facility and the return shipping fee from the damaged product. I asked if they could have the new bedframe to me by the 11th of August, they agreed. It shipped on the 8th of August from KY, received in GA on the 10th, and was magically returned to the shipper on the 11th. I KNOW delivery was NOT attempted on this shipment on the 10th. I immediately sent an email to the manager once again asking for his help, and called fed ex, who advised that the current package was only .1 lb vs. the original package of 65.8 lbs and that they would look for the package. Heard from GPF in regards to the new shipment...it has been damaged AGAIN!! Direct quote - "I know that this is a replacement from the first item that had the same situation. We have had a trace put on the item, should they find it by this evening we will have it delivered to you ASAP. If the package is not located we will give you a refund for your order."I wonder what the refund would be? Minus shipping charges for every shipment? Why would they even think I want to accept a 2nd shipment for a damaged product??I have to say that I am EXTREMELY dissapointed with this company. That I should even have to wonder should I be paying for any shipping charges is ludicris.Buy from GPF at your own risk."
