"So I ordered roughly a week ago and ken was my primary contact. Even in the middle of the night, on a sunday, etc ken was on top of every question no matter how big or small. The ordering process was unbelievably easy. I was going to go with xoticpc and I found gentech and heard all about ken. And just as people have said he is absolutely amazing ! Prices are just right customer service exceptional . Gentech is truly a recommendation from me going forward all the way :-D"

"The transaction with GenTechPC was among the smoothest, quickest, and most pleasant I've ever had in years of buying online. Living up to his excellent reputation on the forums of NotebookReview.com, Ken L. answered my questions via phone and email succinctly, promptly, courteously, and with the authority of someone who knows his stuff really well and does everything within reason to look after the interests of his customers.

The order process and subsequent payment phase went flawlessly (hard to beat wire transfer for this, and GenTechPC passes along the cash discount savings to you). With only minimal customizations to HD and RAM, and helped by having parts in stock, I assume, the build and test phase started on a Monday... and my beautiful, monstrous GT80 SLI-263 was out the door by that Wednesday. Wow! Enduring the three-and-a-half day [free] ground shipping time of UPS from CA to IL was by far the hardest -- and also the only difficult -- part of this entire process. As I was joking with Ken, daily meditation is the key to surviving this phase.

My machine arrived impeccably packed, complete; everything worked flawlessly out of the box.

In my case, it helped that this was a meeting of the minds, in that I knew what I wanted, more or less, and that GenTechPC had or could get what I was asking for; but that's only half of the equation. You can know what you want and later get confused, even hampered by a buying process filled with roadblocks, intentional or unintentional. No such thing here. A company like GenTechPC, one that exemplifies an integrity and transparency that feels almost "old school", transforms that process, even elevates it.

Whether you approach them nearly ready to commit, or whether you are just starting out, with more questions than answers, GenTechPC inspires confidence and is perfectly-positioned to make it happen.

"First of all, Ken is the man. Call them if you have any questions or issues with your order and he will take care of you. I needed to get a custom laptop within two weeks and Ken blew me away. Ordered on a Wednesday, had it in my hands by Friday. He kept me up to date during the whole process and even followed up to make sure everything was great. They set the standard for customer service. I have no doubt they will continue to take care of me in the future. Amazing products, shipped safely and faster than any of the competitors. "Where to start.....GenTech is AMAZING! Everything from start to finish was A+. I am so glad a issue came up with another site I was going to order from and searched and found GenTech. The were super fast about getting me my laptop sent out, their spring specials and other deals made it cheaper than others and Ken is pretty fast about replying to any questions you have. I am typing this on my new machine (MSI GE72 Apache Pro 077) and it is so sick. I just sold my beast of a desk top and thought I would miss it but nope....I dont think I will! "I have to say that it didn't start off well with me, the laptop I bought was defective and it was quite a hassle getting a new replacement. I did get the replacement after more than a month but it has some minor problems and also I chose stock options for the replacement (my original order had an extra SSD and IC diamond repaste).

However, a few weeks ago Ken reached out to me saying he wanted to make things right and he did. He had my laptop shipped back to him and upgraded it to the configuration that I first ordered, he also helped sent my laptop to msi to fix the minor problems. On top of that Ken gave me prompt updates on the status of the laptop. He added other extra things as well before shipping it back to me but asked me not to tell other people what free stuffs he gave me, so I can't spill the beans here :)

I've had the laptop back for more than a week now and so far I'm satisfied with it, I appreciate his willingness to make things right, something that I didn't expect.

"Gentech PC has absolutely blown my mind with their level of customer service. I have worked with other online retailers, but they all pale in comparison now.

I ordered the new MSI GT80 Titan-001. I went with the 001 for cost and heat reasons, but spent another $1000, ($4000 overall) on upgrades.

Before, during, and after my purchase, I contacted customer service about different things. Ken seems to be the main guy over there, and each time he responded very quickly to my emails. There were several times he emailed me back at 2 or 3am just minutes after I emailed him. Now that is dedication!

At one point in our email conversation, Ken told me that I would "definitely be getting the new I7-5700HQ CPU". Even though I'm sure they had old stock, he upgraded me to the brand new (unreleased) GT80 Titan and Broadwell CPU. I was ecstatic.

The final kicker was that my laptop came with the older Far Cry 4 code. I already had the game and thought that the new code was supposed to be for the Witcher 3 or Arkham Knight. I sent an email to Ken and asked about it. It turns out the promotion ran from June 1st, so it was my mistake, but he gave me the Arkham Knight code anyway!

I will definitely be returning to Gentech in the future. I've been very impressed with them every step of the way.

"Odered my first MSI laptop from GenTechPC back in 2012. Was very impressed with their products, quick response to questions and professional manner.

Well I am back again to say I odered a new replacement MSI system from GenTech. I was happy to see Ken and the staff continue to provide the great customer service I experienced with my first purchase. There are many vendors to choose from but I can highly recommend GenTechPC for your next purchase.

Buying such a large dollar item online is a scary decision. Here are a couple of suggestions that could help you make it the right one.

1. Do your reasearch. If you have a question research it on laptop review forums. It is a great community of which GenTech is an active reseller member.

2. Contact or call GenTech with any configuration questions you may have. The ordering forms resellers use can somtimes assume you know more than you do.

3. Use the comment area of the order form to explain any special items or configuration. Provide contact information for any questions.

4. If using a credit card, call them in advance of your order to make them aware of the aprox dollar amount and the vendor. This insures you will not see a delay in ordering.

5. If you are requesting special configuration, understand it takes time to make the mods.

6. After ordering, find something to do that keeps your mind off the new system you just ordered until it is delivered.

These suggestions along with the great service from GenTech has made my online ordering a hassle free experience.

"I am stationed in Japan. I ordered an MSI GT-72 on Feb 11th and I had it in my hands on the 21st. The laptop was exactly how I wanted it. It was supposed to come with a game coupon, but they were out of them. Once they received more they were quick in emailing to me. I was real leery about ordering a laptop from a company online, but GenTech went above and beyond. I am looking at replacing my daughters laptop and I am defiantly going through them. Great company to deal with."

"I had 3 problems with the $3200 ASUS G750-JZ I purchased from GenTech.

1. I asked for RAID 1 configuration and they sent me RAID 0.
2. They sent my laptop without a Recovery Partition
3. They sent me Windows 8 Standard Edition instead of Windows 8 PRO. I had to pay $100 to the Windows Store to upgrade and GenTech did not refund my $100.

I'm not confident that the Windows Recovery CD I paid them $15 to make for me is functional and without an ASUS Factory Recovery Partition, I won't be able to restore this (Very Expensive!!) laptop to its ASUS defualt.
I've had the laptop for ~12 months now, and i'm ready to do a factory reset. Its going to take me a long time to download all the drivers etc that would have been on my recovery partition.

For $3200, I expected a better customer experience.

"I bought an Asus G74SX-DH72 from GenTech back in 2011. I ran into a few issues in 2012 and had to send the unit directly back to Asus for repair. Several issues surfaced this year (2014) and Asus claimed my warranty had expired, however I purchased the 3 year extended warranty from GenTech. So I contacted Ken, who was able to have my laptop service not once but TWICE. The first time Asus did not fix the issue with my laptop so I had to send it right back. Ken was quick to respond and provided excellent customer service along the way. He made sure Asus was on top of their game and I was able to get my lap top serviced. I highly recommend GenTech to anyone looking to buy a laptop, they provide great customer service!"

"I purchased a custom built laptop from GenTechPC in November of 2014. Although GenTech thoroughly tests laptops prior to shipment, one of the SSDs in my laptop failed within a couple of days. I can happily report that GenTech honored the warranty and replaced both SSDs with an improved model at no additional cost to me. I am very pleased with the service that I received and would definitely do business with them again. Hardware does occasionally fail. And it’s at times like that when you’re glad you did business with a reputable company. Thanks."
