"Fry's accepted my order for a Logitech Harmony 1100 remote. Then they cancelled the order unless I contacted them immediately by phone. Upon calling them on 12/5/2010, I was on hold for ages and finally managed to speak with a representative who confirmed all my information and asked me to please be patient in that it would take a few months for the order to arrive due to backorders etc. Upon calling emailing recently I was informed that I had missed the window. I called and once again, Fry's has informed me that my order will not be honored. Despite having no incoming email in my inbox or spam box, they claimed they emailed me recently re-requesting a phone call. I supposedly had a two week window to call again and confirm my interest. I did not get any email informing me of the need to call again. Really crappy. I've passed over a number of other sales since I expected to get the Logitech Harmony Touch Screen remote. Addendum: After writing this review, I was called AND emailed from Fry's that they will honor their commitment. Crazy that I've wasted so much time on this, but delighted to be getting the remote. Upgraded from a 1 star to 2 star (somewhat dissatisfied)."

"Fry's Electronics, absolutely THE WORST customer service in the electronics business. I purchased a Samsung All in One Wi-Fi printer at Fry's that failed. I returned this item and requested another of the same model. Although the web site claimed "in stock" they had no new units at the store. I was told they would have a new printer at the store in 1 week and given a quote/voucher for it since they only had a floor model left. I was also told 4 new units were scheduled to come in the next couple of days. A week later they only had a floor model and an "open box" (hmmm..) but no new printers. So I was told to check back in another week. So here we go with the phone BS telling me to check back in a couple days. Several times on the phone I was told managers would call me back and that didn't happen either. Over a month's time I have talked to 8 different (took names) people that kept stringing me out with false promises of a replacement printer. Emails on two occasions to their customer service only resulted in more of the same lies. It's been almost two months and still no printer and no return call. If they can't (or won't) get the item they should just say so.
THE ABSOLUTE WORST Customer Service = Fry's Electronics
"I have shopped at my local Fry's Electronics extremely frequently for about two years now. And, I have loved it every step of the way.
Their prices are relatively lower than I have seen around other stores that carry Anime DVDs and other related merchandise plus their selection is quite impressive - but, luckily they (I think) used to be intertwined with FUNimation so they would (and still) get many new DVDs plus some merchandise and even some limited edition and regular box sets that are becoming a little scarce now. So, I go their just to ogle at their two aisles of massive inventory sometimes and try to pick just one but always find another DVD or DVD box set that I want. They have some Anime merchandise - but, unfortunately - they only carry super "mainstream" merchandise i.e Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece. I completely understand though because these are the Animes that sell well here in the US. Which, makes me not look down on it at all.
But, I don't just go to Fry's to get Anime DVDs mind you. I go there for the technology aspect as well. What they're most known for. Some of their deals are just insane for such things as USB flash drives. I got myself a 4GB flash drive for only $9. Which, that's really hard to come by. And as well, I have also purchased a Wacom Graphics Tablet for only $70 at my local Fry's as well. That was impressive.
And, to finally finish of this little review. Fry's - great low prices. Everything from graphics tablets to even Anime DVDs for the local otaku. Their customer service is amazing as well. Whenever I ask for help, the employee always helps with a smile and points us in the right direction or even gives us tips for what we're looking for. Great store. I will always be coming back to Fry's in the future. But, I need to actually purchase something from their site, too. Never got around to that....."
"frys.com shipped an order that has already been canceled and charged me for that. I called them and they told me it's my responsibility to return that package, which is shipped to an invalid billing address with wrong billing address. How can I receive and return it? They do not verify billing address. Frys refused to admit they received my request to cancel the order until I forwarded them the cancellation confirmation. And I refused the delivery for another order. When the delivery fails, they have to REFUND! But they claimed there is no RMA for that order. 2 reps told me I'll get refund next week, but I haven't got it until now, almost 2 months. Called today and the rep told me they never received the return from USPS and let me file a claim to USPS. How can I file a claim to USPS as a receipt, not knowing tracking # and sender address. They never provided me tracking number. No business with frys.com any more.
Their customer support phone will put you on hold for at least 30 minutes and those reps are incredibly rude, some don't even speak English. I've been on hold for 3 hours a day trying to reach a c/s rep. Fry's email support doesn't reply to emails, sometimes my emails get refused by fry's email server.
"Here's a company that just a couple years ago actually cared about their customers. Any company. as Frys is now, that promises to have a customer service manager call you back.. and never ever does.. is at the bottom of the customer service list. If your really considering buying electronics online, do the smart thing and buy from an honest company that wants to take care of their customers. Frys and Frys.com are about as far from a true and honest company as I have found in my many years of buying electronics online. Way to go Frys Customer Service, you're climbing to the bottom of the ladder in just a couple short years.
"It's been a while that I don't post, but this deserves a post in capital letter: DO NOT BUY on Frys.com. I placed an order on 11/25/2010, and their system recorded two orders, charged twice, and shipped two packages. When I called them, they told me to refuse the package when it was delivered by USPS. That is what I did on 12/07/2010. It's been a month since I refused the package, and several calls to their customer service number, one email sent through their web site (without response after a week), and I haven't received any refund. Except for the last associate I talked to, they did not seem to care a bit about the problem. Most of them say that I should keep waiting, because it can TAKE MONTHS. One of them said that he would talk to the manager and call me back: HE'S NEVER DONE THAT. Now, after a month of following their directions, they will investigate further without any guarantee whatsoever - yes, it's possible that they will never refund.
I think I've been really spoiled by Amazon.com and other companies that care about their customers and forgot about companies like Frys. Frys clearly doesn't care about their customers, provide a horrible experience, and I will definitely recommend all my friends against buying anything from this company."
"I purchased a Lenovo computer from Frys after hearing about a good deal on Slick Deals. I received the item, lo and behold, it had the KNOWN issue of faulty keypad.
I tried to work with it, seeing if it was something I could live with and couldn't, it was a crazy, quirky keypad. Sometimes it worked, sometimes I'd have to click five times to get a simple page to open.
I called Frys to get what I thought would be a simple Return Authorization. The CSR said the Supervisor said I could NOT return it due to the price I paid! WTF? I had read and re-read their "30 Day Customer Satisfaction Guarantee" and that was not in there. Spoke with a supervisor and he said I needed to call Lenovo to get a Case Number saying the item was defective and then call Frys back for a RA#.
Calling Lenovo was the easiest part of this whole ordeal. All I wanted to do was return the flippin' thing and get a refund, Lenovo seemed to not have a problem with that. Frys wanted me to get a replacement, I was done with both Lenovo and Frys.
Called Frys back for a RA#, hung up on not once but twice! Completely unacceptable - they have my contact info, they could have called me back!
I contacted my credit card co for a charge back and tried Frys once more as you HAVE to have a RA#. This time, a very kind CSR heard my request and in no time I had a RA#.
Read the reviews of others, but also do your research, even Forbes did an article on them, how they treat their customers rough and do H&H - hoops and hurdles to avoid returns, refunds, etc. I will NEVER buy from them again, anyone on the Consumer Reports list will get my business (after my own research of course!)
Oh yes, and thanks to SD for deleting my post sharing this experience as a warning for others. Wish we could rate SD too!"

"I've generally had good mail order experiences w/ Frys.com. However, I ordered a Logitech webcam on 11/29 and am still waiting as of 12/9. No tracking number is shown but it was marked as shipped the same day it was ordered and my credit card was charged on 11/30. An e-mail to customer service went unanswered. After about 20 minutes on hold yesterday I was connected to a CSR who claims the order was shipped by the FedEx-to-PO route. She gave me a USPS tracking number which shows as not found @ USPS.com. Claims it will be delivered on Saturday but I'm very skeptical. Meanwhile, the item went on sale @ Best Buy for the same as I paid @ Frys.com and has no rebate required. Very poor shipping and customer service."
