"THIS STORE IS A TOTAL CRIMINAL RIPOFF!!! they offer a incredible offer on a camera and then call to "confirm" and try to sell you over priced accessories. If you buy them, they send the order. If you don't they fake the item "out of stock" or "backorder". They change their name every so often to evade their bad reputation and rip off a new bunch of suckers. Do not buy from them PERIOD!"

"Don't let that low internet price fool you. Long story short - ordered over the internet. Received email to call and confirm. I tried - after the voice recorded directory, I waited at least 10 minutes. No one picked up. Called again, waited close to 10 minutes again, finally someone picked up and I got the order confirmed (which I normally don't have to do with online orders). Christmas was coming quickly, it had been 11 days, no camera. Called in and found out the camera was on backorder. Why didn't anyone tell me that? A phone call, an email, anything would have been appreciated. This was a gift - thanks a lot Delta!!!! Cancelled the order and asked to speak with a manager. I tried to be nice, I didn't swear or anything, but this guy could care less. He didn't offer me an apology or anything. Actually when I told him his company was a Joke, he hung up on me!!!! What a shame . . . such a great price and I see it's gotten even lower now. Beware People!!!!"
"I think I actually have the best story yet on the matter of DeltaCamera.com. While sitting on hold for the third time I was accidentally connected with another very unhappy customer. Best of all her reason for calling was almost identical to mine. After talking to her I re tried my call finally after 25 minutes and four attemps a manager answered the phone and immediatly was RUDE when I explained that my wife was lied to about the factory battery only lasting 20 minutes and the false information about the high speed SD card. He promptly told me oh well she agreed to it and your 7 day return period had expired. So dissapointed that the human race has come to this. Please I know I have been long winded, BUT AT ALL COSTS AVOID THIS COMPANY if you can call it that. "
"DO NOT, NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM DELTACAMERA.COM I am writing this review on 12-22-2009, 30 days after my order for a Canon 790IS camera -- it has not arrived. I too was notified by email shortly after I placed my order online to call to confirm my order -- After calling and telling them that I only NEED the camera, no batteries or accessories, I was told my order would be shipped in a day or two. My wife called to complain that this was a gift for my daughter, and if it was backordered, why was that not communicated to us when we checked are status online? Nor did we ever receive a call or email telling us it was (though they said they sent us an email -- yeh, right! -- just look at all the complaints and you see the pattern of abuse and fraud! What a shame!!"
"WARNING: Do Not Purchase From This Vendor. I called before making an online purchase for a Nikon D90 Body. I wanted to make sure the item was in stock and available. After I was told yes and I should order on line, I did and was expecting delivery in 7 days. After 8 days, I called the vendor. Vendor verbally abused me on the phone. The product is out of stock and never shipped. This vendor had the nerve to try and upsell me. I requested a cancellation and vendor service agent refused to give me a confirmation number, and hung up on the phone when I requested it. I recalled again spoke to a customer service manager and did not get any resolution to my purchase. You would be crazy to purchase from this vendor. If there is a way to shout out loud to all internet customer warning them of Delta Camera dishonest business practice, I will do this. I will not forget this experience and I will continue to post extrement negative comments about Delta Camera."
"I ordered the Canon 7D from DeltaCamera.com, like everyone else the price on the camera clouded my judgement. I also was pressured to purchase more than just the camera, which unfortunately I did. I was just naive enough to think that there couldn't be anyone that dishonest. Man was I wrong. Package arrived only with the camera and a few items and when I checked my order status online it showed that everything was shipped. It took me 3 hours just to get someone on the phone to address the issue. However, while trying to contact Delta, I found this website with the reviews. When I finally spoke to Delta I told them that I had found this website with the reviews and either wanted a credit or my items that were missing. I am not quite sure what made them fix everything but they did. I received the remaining items from the order but I received everything from UPS in 3 days. I did pay way over the retail price for some things that I received (way over the price). In the long run I probably paid about what I would have paid just for camera and the lens at a big consumer. Lesson learned. I would not ever purchase from them again but I am very grateful that I got my camera and lens and didn't get scammed out of $1600.00 like I orginally thought when I got the first package. I still am out the warranty that I purchased at a way inflated price but I am ready to cut my losses and not have to deal with Delta Camera again. I should have listened to my gut when I thought the deal was to good to be true. Live and learn I will never do it again. "
"If YOU got ripped off by these people, you can DISPUTE the charges with your CREDIT CARD AND REPORT THEM to the NY Attorney Genl at http://www.oag.state.ny.us/bureaus/consumer_frauds/filing_a_consumer_complaint.html I really got suckered. I BELIEVED what they told me and sure enough, I got the "grey model" without warranty. I discussed this very issue with a manager named Wallace PRIOR to their shipping my order and told him that if it was the import I would be SENDING IT BACK. So when I told them I had to return my order because it was not what I ordered, they told me that I had to have authorization to return it (RMA) and that in order to get an RMA number I had to agree to accept a reduced refund. I told them they were crazy. It had to be returned because they defrauded me. They didn't care. But when I was ready to hang up, the guy agreed to charge me ONLY for the shipping of the product TO ME and I had to agree to ship it back AT MY EXPENSE even though the order was returned because of their dishonesty. I complained to the credit card company and I urge everyone who gets defrauded by these crooks to do likewise (if the order has already been shipped or was shipped in the recent past) to request their assistance in dealing with these bandits. If you're LUCKY ENOUGH to read this prior to your order being shipped and you're SMART ENOUGH to cancel your order, believe me, it's the best way to go. Becuase you will for sure not receive the "bargain price" that attracted you to the LEAST REPUTABLE source on the internet. You are going to have to pay a fair price to deal with a KNOWN SELLER who will give you the appropriate warranty and refund your purchase without holding you hostage if there is a problem and you are not satisfied. I learned my lesson. It will cost me a few bucks, but it is a lesson WELL LEARNED. No more shady online vendors that have ZERO feedback. The reason they have 0 is because they have to keep changing their name after the authorities start nipping at their tails for the crimes that they are commiting. See actual building http://www.aviglatt.com/about.asp and http://donwiss.com/pictures/brooklynstores/0065d.jpg
After accepting the returned merchandise, 9 days later I still had no refund. I sent them an email that my next correspondence was going to be to the NY Atty Genl. Within two hours a full refund posted to my account, without the $28 being reduced from the amount. What a coincidence. After 9 days it shows up in TWO HOURS after my email!"

"I encountered the same thing most other reviewers did. I was shopping for a good "Cyber Monday" deal on a particular camera for a Christmas gift. These guys had the best price plus free 7 day shipping and some free accessories. I actually had the feeling that it was too good to be true. I should have listened to my gut. The website indicated that the camera was in stock, with something like "ships within 2 business days".
I used an email address that I don't always check, so my wife wouldn't see what I had bought. I just happened to check it after ordering, and saw that I had to call to confirm my order. I have shopped online a lot, and have never seen this before. When I called, the guy asked which battery I wanted, 2 hour or 5 hour? Wow! I get a choice of batteries! He didn't mention that they cost extra until I asked. After I drilled him on it, he did admit that the camera comes with a battery, but it would only last 20 minutes. Right. This isn't my first rodeo, and this isn't the first Canon camera I've bought, either.
When the camera didn't arrive after 12 days, I checked my account online and saw that my order was "processing". I called and was told the camera was on back order for 2 to 4 weeks. He couldn't guarantee that I would have it in time for Christmas. I have to admit the guy was more courteous to me than he apparently was to most of the other reviewers.
Marvelous. So now I may not have it in time for Christmas, and all the "Cyber Monday" deals are gone. Fortunately I checked this website today. I went to their site and canceled my order after reading all these reviews. Thank you to everyone who took the time to expose these a-holes. Since there was no way to print any confirmation that I canceled my order, I am also going to call my credit card company and make sure they don't allow any charges from this company.
Lesson learned: If it seems too good to be true, it probably is."
"Be careful of the upselling when you call to confirm an on-line order (or when they call you to confirm). My $399 camera order quickly turned into a $699 order with the addition of a battery and memory card that would cost a total of $50.00 elsewhere. They will try to sell you a 'package' deal that includes a 9% insurance charge. Live and Learn, I should have stuck with my original camera only order - that was actually a good deal to start."
"Worst online experience. Do not do business with them. Ordered Canon G11 kit for $489. E-mail requested to call for confirmation. RED FLAG!! Put on hold for a while. Rude customer service. Bait and switch tactics. Pushy sales. Paid almost $200 more than I should have. Said I need a no delay SD card with a jacked up price. Paid a large sum for battery that is included. They said I needed upgrade because battery was only 20 min. I upgraded to 5 hr. Paid for kit with accessories that are not what they seem. Deluxe camera is not big enough for camera. Tripod flimsy. Do research before you buy!! 25% restocking fee for return. Jeez!! Store address a deli. Can't dispute charges because they switched it to a bundle. Professional scam artist. Too late for me. At least camera works so I'll cut my losses. Feel it's my duty to share this to help others. What a headache! "
"I have been involved with many on lines businesses. But, Until i met with Deltacameras.com I was never concerned with the way a business works. When a business places something on line at a special price that business should make sure that they can sell that item or get a Penalty in some way. they way Deltacameras.com treats people and their business, they actually should have a large foot placed up their ASS'S. I am being very nice the way I have said this..I wanted to get a camera like the one I had lost.. But with the state of the world today, and our Presidents plans I fear it is people such as at delta Camera that will do very well. You all know how I feel about deltacameras.com now! Don't buy anything there..and have a Happy Holidays! ~b"
"I purchased a D300 that was listed as new but clearly had scratches on the viewer. I called and they insisted it was new and offered a 5 year warranty FREE to put my mind at ease. I have called 4 times and each time the representative gives me a "phantom" tracking number stating it was sent. Today is Dec 7 still no 5 year warranty. Avoid Delta Camera--they are con men"
"I purchased a Panasonic DMC-FZ35 digital camera from this store after seeing there ad and price. After purchase I contacted the company to check on delivery........and at that time and 2 other phone calls I asked if it was new from the factory....and each time they stated that it was.... Finnaly a (manager),stated that the camera is REFURBISHED... The ad does not say any thing about refurbised and their people said that it was new in a factory box.... I and anyone I know will never purchase a thing from this company..
"I went to the following URL: www.deltacamera.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=CNEOS5DMArK+II and found the Canon EOS 5D Mark II for only $1699. I then called them at (877) 283-7747 to verify. Instead, the rude Foreigner stated it's retail price is "twenty-two ninety-nine." I informed the guy about their advertised online price and he told me, "That's just to get you to buy. Now, do you want it or not?" This is an obvious case of FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. For reference, I have included the URL. According to their website, their address is 1002 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY 11223. I live too far (Fresno,CA) but maybe someone can go there and investigate further. "
"WOW! Wish I had seen this website BEFORE I attempted to purchase a camera from them. I called Delta first to make sure that the camera came with a battery and was told definitely that it did indeed come with a battery. I then placed the order and as everyone else has mentioned they asked that I call to confirm, it gave me that queasy feeling in my stomach, should have listened! When I called, I was put on hold for appx. 20-30 minutes and my call was finally answered by a NOT very pleasant man who proceeded to ask what battery I wanted with it. I said the one it comes with. He then told me that it did not come with a battery, but that I could purchase one for $89.00!! I said no thank you. (when I got off the phone I checked and found a battery for about 20.00) He said it would be delivered by the following Sunday. I called today to get a tracking number and after being on hold again for another 15 minutes I was put through to a man named Rob, who knows if that is his real name?, who told me that my camera was on backorder and wouldn't be shipped for 4-6 weeks and that an email had gone out on the 27th telling me this. I was in my email at the time and could NOT find an email with that information. NOT to mention, that I spoke to the man to confirm my order on the 29th and he never once mentioned that it was on backorder. He was very condescending and quite rude about the whole conversation. I told him after all the hassle, this was bull and I wanted to cancel my order. He said ok, done and hung up on me. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!"
