"Ordered a 27 inch monitor from Dell. Received an email stating the monitor would not arrive for several weeks and to call if I wish to cancel the order. Called and cancelled my order as soon as I received the email that A.M. Their sales representative assured me it was cancelled and that my funds would be be returned the next cycle at my bank. Then that evening they turned around and mysteriously found a monitor and shipped it to me. Funny how they went to we don't have it you'll have to wait a couple weeks to "Oh, we got yours right here if your going to cancel."

I had already purchased the same monitor for 30 dollars cheaper from a competitor called and told dell wtf. Had to tell the story to not one, not two, but three customer service representatives all from overseas. None could help me. Got the run around oh we can't stop the shipment you'll have to refuse the order when it's delivered nothing we can do. Oh btw we got your money suck it. Total lack of coherency between employee's or any desire to set things right. I've dealt with insurance companies that are more willing to work with you. I'm sure they try to stick me with some sort of fee for returning the monitor.
Moral of the story they are dishonest if you get an email saying oh it's gonna be awhile cancel it and boom they'll have it in stock mystically just pray you don't have to return it or ask for help from their customer service. Dell doesn't have any."

"You may not have too many hardware issues with Dell computers but God forbid you have to contact them for any time of other issues. Their customer service is absolutely horrible. If you can actually speak with a person, and if you can actually understand that person, you are guaranteed to be transfered to another person/depatment at least 3-4 times. It's an absolute, trust me. Then, my experience is that final person will not have an answer or be helpful in any way. I cannot understand how this company can stay in business. Do yourself a favor, buy something other than a Dell!"

"I've never had problems with purchasing items from Dell and usually got them very promptly and in good condition. But, when I bought a Dell Inspiron 14z recently and had problems with getting a wired connection, I had issues with their technical support. After an hour, they still couldn't solve my problem and I was laughing to myself because they were making me do all these things that I knew would not solve my problem, such as taking out the battery or turning my laptop on and off. Their technical support team didn't seem to be very knowledgeable at what they were supposed to be specialized for and the agent on the phone seemed super clueless as she kept telling me that she would ask her "very knowledgeable supervisor for help." Instead my friend came over and solved my problem in no time, so in conclusion, I would think twice before calling Dell to solve my technical issues."

"i ordered one of the xps models when they first came out. The hard drive failed the second month and Dell had a new one to me the next day day and a tech over the day after to install it. Last year I ordered one of the newer xps models and could not get it to work with our home network. Tech support found it was not really a Dell problem but a windows problem. They took it back and refunded the price less shipping anyway. If you can afford one of their higher priced models I recommend it. Their lower priced models are a what you get is what you pay for thing. Btw they early xps 400 model still is running strong. "

"I purchased a Dell Ultrasharp 2410 Monitor from Dell Direct. I received a confirmation, they charged my credit card and shipped the monitor. On the day of delivery, they cancelled the order and it was returned to Dell. I called Dell, and the runaround I was given was simply amazing. I had to contact customer support, they gave me a phone number to validation, who told me I needed to reorder, then they put my account on hold and nobody could help me. I repeatedly tried to get information and was unable to speak to anybody who knew anything. Finally the Tuesday after the order was cancelled I received a phone call from Dell about the order. They were astonished when I told them I was cancelling the order and wanted my money back. In the course of 5 days I went from respect for Dell to complete disdain.

I will never again recommend Dell to a friend or enemy. The customer service is completely bad and not worth the trouble. Buy from anybody else but them."

"Never purchase Dell laptops. They suck. I have evaluated all there products like servers, workstations etc. Rest are somewhat decent but definitely not the laptops. "

"BUYER BEWARE!!! I ordered a Nikkor 55-200mm VR lens as a Christmas gift and received confirmation from dell thereafter. Today they sent me a cancellation stating that there was a pricing error. They will not honor the price and have repeatedly told me that they can cancel any order at their discretion. False advertisement and lack of professionalism at its finest. Also, it's sad when you can not speak to an American at an American company while calling from AMERICA!!!!!"

"Absolutely awful experience with Dell.. ordered a Nikon lens for a holiday present and the order was cancelled without any type of notice. This is probably the second or third time this has happened..

Should have known better than to trust Dell... again.

Fooled me once.. "

"This company has inferior products that do not last. In the past I purchased all of my products from dell. However, I have given up on their slow shipping, empty promises, poor customer service and deceitful loan service. My last dell broke soon after warranty and this his product has had issues with the power cord and now the mother board. Please do not buy dell computers. They have poor products and customers service. "
