"I wouldn't purchase from this company again. I bought about 1700$ dollars worth of merchandise. Though the site says "free shipping" I was charged a 50$ handling fee. Further, the person helping me on the phone told me I needed an item that I didn't end up needing. So, though items seemed cheaper than other companies, I ended up paying more.

Adding to this review: I called to let the company know I was sold an item I didn't need and still needed the original item. The staff was unhelpful. The person with whom I spoke said the item would cost 95$ and that I wouldn't receive the item for a week because the item came from Canada and the company does not drop ship (send it to the house). I called qualitybath.com, however, and I received the same product for 76$ and within a couple of days with a drop ship. I just felt the staff at decor island was not honest..."

"Stay away from Decor Island!!! $160 for overnight shipping. I, begrudgingly, accepted the shipping fee because I NEED this item NOW! It has been a week and still have not received the item. Calls to customer service end with being placed on hold until disconnection.


Follow up:

Finally got a hold of, and I use this term VERY loosely, "Customer Service". It appears that ALL THREE of the item "IN STOCK" were damaged and could not be shipped. Decor Islands solution to this problem was to simply CANCEL the order... without any notification (Did I mention that I REALLY NEED this item?). I have been waiting for a week for an order that is not coming because Decor Island doesn't deem it necessary to inform their customers that they cannot deliver on a placed order. (I guess they assume you'll figure it out, eventually.

In short, if you REALLY NEED your item, STAY AWAY FROM DECOR ISLAND.

Add me to the list of chumps who ordered from these jokers without reading reviews first."

"Placed order on 11/3/11. They don't ship until 11/17/11 and never say a word to me.

Lousy service!"

"Poor service after the sale. Untimely delays in merchandise delivery. Different explanations....exact opposites.....provided for issues on shipments. Extra shipping charges billed without notification at time of sale. Definitely not worth purchasing from this reseller."

"One of these days I'll learn to check review site such as ResellerRatings before making an online purchase with a new site. First issue was a one week delay on my faucet, "till new stock comes in". Then, the spooks at Google picked up on my searches and steered me to a less expensive option. OK, less than $10 less, but thought I would give DI an opportunity to match, or come close. Phone calls have been greeted with a cheery "the office is now closed" and an email has not been answered in two days. Oh well, at least I paid with VISA, in case things really break bad.

BTW, requesting Invoice # and xaction date are thoughtful additions to the process, in so many ways."

"Liars and sheisty. Would not respond to numerous emails. Was told after 30 days from processing order that it would ship soon. Finally got tracking # 4 days later, which means they once again lied about ship date.
Would NEVER purchase from them again.There are too many legit companies out there who follow up and deliver when promised!"

"They lack in the communication department...
When I first ordered, the service I received was good and helpful... too bad my order wasn't processed until three weeks later.
It's been over a month and I still haven't received my item. Apparently when I first ordered the item it was on back order and noone bothered to tell me. All they said was, "expect to see it in 7 to 10 days. So, I had lined up my contractor for two weeks later to allow for ample time. Well, as it stands I have had to reschedule my counter install twice because I'm still waiting on my sink. EXTREMELY frustrating. The worst part is, the second time I called they said, "I'll make sure it gets shipped today." I had to call a third time to get a tracking number so I could know where my product was at, and the day it was shipped was FOUR days after it was promised! I now have very little faith in this company and will not purchase from again. I caution anyone before they purchase anything on-line from Decor Island, and have deadlines."

"very helpful in finding a hard to find item in mind at a good price,..just not easy to communicate/get hold on (probably very busy... business is going good!) customer service went out of their way to find my items at a very reasonable price"

"the prices are pretty good and the service has certainly improved since my last bathroom remodel. my CSR rep was very fluent with all the terms and types of prducts!"

"Misleading business practices! Ordered a pedestal sink, showed a picture of complete sink and pedestal, invoice did not say sink only, under specifications in fine print gave another item number for the pedestal, but no price. Ends up that when I called in to confirm order that I am told it will be an additional $40.95. Asked to speak to a supervisor. He told me he could not give me a break on the pedestal, but possibly a sales person could. So what does a supervisor do? Then salesperson told me the break was to not have any additional handling charge! No shipping charge, but "handling" was $69. I cancelled the order! I can do as well elsewhere where all charge are up front."
