"AVOID THIS SELLER! THEY ARE LIARS! HORRIBLE SERVICE. THEY SELL ITEMS THAT THEY DONT STOCK. WAITED 10 DAYS TO ONLY TELL ME THEY CANCELED THE ORDER"
"Lied about shipping order, never received, fighting to get refund. Do no trust this business. They are liars and cheats."
"Placed order on 08/21/2011 for a touchpad on eBay, kept receiving the emails that they are working on it, but haven't recieved the HP touchpad yet. It is really frustrating to wait this long when every other store already shipped their touchpads."
"Great company, excellent communication. Was very understanding!"
"Ordered an HP Touchpad on 20th from its eBay store, got a few emails directly saying it is shipping, but delayed by the vendor, delayed by the hurricane Irene, blah blah. The truth is until today 29th, I haven't received any shipping confirmation or tracking number. Datavis charged $20 more for each Touchpad than everyone else, yet unable to deliver it. I started to believe this is a scam store. Don't buy anything from them."
"I ordered a blue tooth headset from DataVis.com that was significantly lower in price compared to other competitors, including Amazon ($35.99 compared to $59.99). In addition, I even went online and found an online coupon for $5 off that I applied to my order! After ordering, I was a bit nervous when I decided to look up reviews on this place and saw all the negative reviews. I am pleased to say that my transaction actually was smooth and problem-free. I ordered, got a confirmation email the next day, got a tracking # email a few hours after that one, and received my product from New York just within a few business days. I was actually quite surprised how quick it got here to California! My product was brand-new and worked just as expected. I did not need to call customer service at all, and it was nice to know they at least had a contact phone number on their emails. There are other places I’ve ordered items from where I could not find contact numbers and it was email only. All in all, a pretty good experience. Hopefully they read the negative reviews from the past and changed their ways. Also, for the reviewers who post negative reviews, please elaborate as to what the problems were that you encountered so that it can be beneficial to others. Thanks!"
"More of the same. Almost no communication. Ordered 24 cables only received one. No communication regarding the whereabouts of the other 23 cables. Had to call and were told they were back ordered. Still waiting decided to check. The other 23 had been shipped, and quite some time previously. Checked the track and they shipped them to the wrong place. They got the address the first time... Anyway, they are only interested in taking your money. Good luck..."
"I ordered a set of the iFrogz headphones for one of my daughter's Christmas presents. I didn't receive confirmation that order had been placed for about 24 hours which seemed kind of odd, but it is close to Christmas so OK. After 5 days of not receiving a shipment notification I called customer service; after waiting about 20 minutes to talk to someone they told me that the order was canceled because the item was not available anymore; I asked why nobody called me or e-mailed me and the rep did not have an answer. I then asked why my credit card had been charged and they just kept saying 'be patient, you have to be more patient...' Patient for what? Getting charged for a product I did not receive. Luckily I was able to talk with the CC company and get this resolved, but wow, what a poor way to do business. I will never shop at Datavis.com and I will deter anyone I know from shopping there."
"-Ordered wi-fi SD card Sunday (21st) evening.-Realized the order was wrong, called to cancel (no email confirmation at this point).-Was told on the phone that the order was not in the system, call back in 2-3 hours.-did not have time that evening, received confirmation email at 8am Monday morning (22nd). called and spoke with a male employee; was told the order was cancelled, per my request at that time.-Tuesday (23rd) I recieved email stating it was shipped. I didn't notice until later in the day, figured it was a fluke and did nothing.-Thanksgiving holiday and busy schedule kept me from calling again until Friday (26th). I was told that it really had been shipped and nothing could be done, so I could either keep it or refuse shipment and i would then be credited my money 3-4 days after they received the package back.-The package arrived Monday (29th). I wrote on the package that it was refused and to please return to sender.-The mail person did not take the package on Tuesday, so it went out on Wednesday December 1st.-Thursday, December 16th I check my statement and see that a credit was issued on the 10th of December. -The credit was less $11.80. I assumed for shipping, but felt this wasn't fair because I had cancelled my order. Also, shipping was only 5.92 originally so I was being charged for both directions (not sure if that would be normal or not).-I called, was on hold for 6 minutes, a lady picked up but apparently couldn't hear me (I was on a land-line, not a cellphone) and she hung up. I called again and waited again for 4 minutes or so and then talked to a male employee.-Employee told me the shipping would not be refunded, even after asking his supervisor. He explained that they were busy, said he was sorry for the issue (I understand busy, and I'm glad he apologized), but said unless I knew the name of the person I had talked to so they could bring it up with him, that they could not refund my shipping costs.I'm not sure why I needed to know the name of the person I talked to for the cancellation. I should have asked for that information, but at the time it went smoothly and I saw no reason to doubt the man's word that it was cancelled. Regardless, I thought my effort to address the situation (and my level of detail) was valid, and worthy of a refund. This company didn't think so and just continued to say "I'm sorry, but we're busy" etc. I won't use them again, nor do I hope anyone else does. For the future I'll take more notes and be more negative/non-trusting with my assumptions. It's a shame that someone's word doesn't count, and mistakes aside, that situations aren't rectified.-Joshua K."
"I ordered a Nokia N8 cell phone on 10/27/2010, the price was 501.14 including 16 dollar shipping and a 20 dollar coupon rebate. It said "ships within 1-3 days" The order status changed from N to A later on the same day and I received an email confirmation. The funds were taken out of my checking account via Paypal. On the third day which is today I submitted a message on their website, after waiting another 4 hours and not receiving an answer I called them. After about 10 minutes on the phone with customer service I was told they didn't have the phone in stock! I canceled the order which has not yet changed to canceled on their web site. I think it is a borderline scam to tell customers an item will be shipped within 1-3 days, charge me the full amount before the item has been shipped. Never again Datavis!Update. I stand by my previous review of never using them again. I called again and sent an email canceling the order. I finally received the refund 3 days later even though a paypal transaction should be almost immediate. Never received an answer to my 2 emails, one which was sent through paypal."
"I ordered a laptop online, i was shipped an identical in appearance laptop with cheaper components ( less memory, slower processor). When I called the customer service rep (i think) she tried to persuade me to take the cheaper laptop for a 50 dollar discount, this was 150 dollars more than comparable retailers, for the exact same specs. When I told her I wanted the laptop I ordered at the price I ordered. I was told that The laptop was on back order. The next day I called again, this time I just ordered the right laptop and the operator confirmed that it was in stock and available at 220 more. When I told him I was returning a laptop and that I expected it at the price I ordered, i was told it was back ordered again. i asked for something in writing saying that when the laptop was in stock I would be sent one at the contracted price, a supervisor refused, and just asked that I send the laptop back. He also admitted that to sell me the laptop at that price would be below cost, i understand mistakes happen but to try to bait and switch because you are greedy is shameful."
"Ordered all in-stock items, with 3rd day guaranteed shipping. 8 days later I don't even have a tracking number. Called customer service, they say its dropshipped from the distributor and that I should've gotten a tracking number from them, so I'm just out of luck. Will not order from again."
"I purchased an item from this company via buy.com before coming here. Had I come here first, I would have not. While I was very worried after seeing the posts here, the item did come new and packaged fine. Next time I dont think I will use a store with such a low rating. I saved $1 plus shipping using them, but would much rather have purchased from a well known source with a better rating and pay a little extra. I just feel sorry for all the rest here. While I have never been to NY, this has to be a large store. Something like Fry's electronics on the west coast. They included a catalog with my order and it looks almost identical to a Fry's ad. In anycase, there's still no reason to have such a low overall score. Buy.com is also to blame as it seems they'll affiliate with anyone. I wrote them and asked how they go about signing up with 3rd parties and received a canned answer that fell on deaf ears. Not sure I will ever order from them again as well. "
"I recently bought a samsung lcd tv (ln46a650) from datavis.com. My experience with the company was damn near flawless. After placing my order I received a telephone call a day or two after giving me directions on what to do when my tv arrived. I scheduled a time with the shipping company to receive my tv and it showed up at that scheduled time. As instructed, I opened the box and inspected the tv thoroughly before signing for it and letting the delivery man leave. The tv has been wonderful and has worked flawlessly since the day I got it. My only complaint is that since my TV looked so amazing, I was robbed in the middle of the night. When I came back to the datavis.com website to order the same tv again the price had gone up by roughly $150. This isn't a huge problem, but since I can find it cheaper elsewhere now I won't be shopping with datavis.com this time.Overall, this company still receives 5 out of 5 stars from me. Customer service was amazing, item was shipped on time, the price was great at the time, and the tv came to me with no problems whatsoever. Very smooth transaction. I would definitely recommend doing business with this company again!"
"Recieved wrong product, contacted customer service and from here on it all went down hill. Returned wrong product and tracked it until they recieved it. Waited for email from them telling me they recieved it and correct product is on it's way. Waited for three days and finally had to call them. Their response "oh, we are out of stock and what do you want to do." Needless to say, I will not buy from Datavis ever. Their custormer service, just sucks."
