I finally got to try out crowdspring\u0027s new 1-1 project feature and it was a very quick process--the client sent me the invite to the 1-1 project, I uploaded my submissions and once the client was satisfied I was awarded. I really liked the fact that the wrap-up was 3 steps instead of 4--it really cuts timing..maybe all the wrap-ups should be like that. By the way, the project is paid for in advance so the designer is guaranteed payment. We had been working with a local agency at a rate of $250 per hour, and were going nowhere, only burning cash. For the equivalent of three hours of work by that agency, we ended up having 100+ viable options for our logo. The hardest part was selecting from so many outstanding submissions, which is a great problem to have. We were not only blow away by the volume of response, but also the quality of the talent - they clearly listened, read our creative brief, understood our business needs, and delivered us to a new level, whereas the agency failed miserably. This is the way of the future - why be limited to the thoughts \/ ideas of one or a few when you can truly harness the collective thoughts \/ talent of an entire planet! "I chose to go with crowdspring for our new logo and couldn't be happier! The cost was outstanding, we had a lot of creative ideas come in, and the final product was really better than anything we were thinking of. The website/platform seems very mature with automated tools for communication, payment, feedback, etc. I'm usually critical of websites but I really can't think of any improvements needed to their site or business process. They really nailed things and both the process and outcome couldn't have been any better on our project. "
