"There was definitely some confusion with the ordering process. It took a week before I realized through my own investigation that some type of proof of employment was needed to complete the order. I received three emails about my order - thanking me for becoming a customer and two confirming payment and that the order was taken - but none of which stated that a requirement for employment proof was required. When I emailed/called to check on the order status a week after placing the order online did I see that proof of employment was needed. Somewhere along the line, preferably at checkout, it should have been more clearly stated."

"I should have used my better judgment and not ordered from this site. What a joke! I got my product within 8 days, which was fine. Just as a precautionary measure, I sent them an email, indicating that I didn't want to be signed up for their "premier" membership, as I had heard so many others had been, without their knowledge. Thinking I was free and clear, I just happened to check my "spam" email folder, and lo and behold, there was the email indicating my membership was being renewed for $29.00 for the year. I responded within 3 hours, stating I didn't want the membership, nor had I signed up for it.They responded saying they would cancel if, but had to charge me the $9.99 shipping on the original item I ordered. CRAPPY COMPANY! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!!!"

"First, CostCaptain immediately notified me that my item was on back order.In contacting customer service, I received an email personally responding to my question, a REAL person. "AVOID this company like the plague!!I ordered a netbook from them duped by an attractive price. After my order i found out that this particular netbook is OUT OF STOCK net-wide with an ETA of ~ 3 weeks. HHmmm, why did CostCaptain not mention this on their site ...After immediately sending an email requesting cancellation I alos left a voicemail with the same request. No answer or action 24 hrs. later. Called the company, spoke to a CS rep who promised to "take care of this right away" (their charge was still in the pending category on my CC account).Again, nothing.I will now have to go through my account to have this company's transaction investigated as fraudulent. This will probably take 30 days...Do yourselves a big favor and do NOT do business with these fraudsters!"
"TERRIBLE COMPANY!!!I placed an order this evening for Qmadix Stereo Bluetooth Speakers for my iphone and was not allowed to review my order before I realized the order was placed and I was charged for $60 next day air shipping even after switching it to $11 UPS ground. I have yet to receive an email confirmation or even an order number and my card has already been charged...which happened immediately because I tried canceling the order with my bank. I have sent 2 emails to CostCaptain and have not heard back from anyone. There's no number to contact someone in the evening to make changes to orders, so somehow it's my fault and I'm suppose to pay this ridiculous $60 shipping. I feel I was taken advantage of and am extremely disappointed with the way this company makes themselves unavailable to the customer, even though it took them 1 second to take my money.I would NEVER use this site again and I will tell everyone I know to avoid at all cost. CostCaptain has not seen the last of me...I will do everything I can to get my money back. Wondering how I'm suppose to "track my order" when I don't even have an order number. What a JOKE!!! "My order # is 444178 Cost Captain.I ordered a SnapScan on July 22nd, 2013. On July 30th, 2013 - 9 days later they sent and email and ask said that item was out of stock (Surprise after reading so many others comment.) an ask if we could kindly wait 2 more weeks. We told them that we would kind enough to give them the extra time. On August 14th, when we did receive our Snap Scan, we ask them to kindly cancel our order because we had already given them 3 weeks to ship our order. We figured since we were kind enough to give them the extra weeks that they would kindly refund our money. They replied the next day and ask us to give 2 - 10 days. That would have August 24th, 2013. Today is Sept 12th, 2013, It as now going on 5 weeks and still no check and 7 weeks that they have tied our money up.On August 28th, 2013, they sent another email and apologized once again for the refund delay and us to once again allow 3 business days for the bank to release the funds. Later we got another email the next day that stated they had issued a cancelation and our check was being mailed to our billing address. Therefore, it was not at the bank waiting for release. They had not even sent it after we had been so gracious and kind to them.It has now been 42 days and we have seen nothing and they did not even respond to our last email.We are seeing where most people are like me, they advertise they have something and then they don't. If they don't, it is like pulling teeth to get your refund. If they truly have it people get their item very quickly. Our advice would be to not order from over the internet, but call and make sure they have the item in stock first. Otherwise, order at your own risk. We normally order from E-bay or Amazon and always have our items in 3 - 5 business days. This is the fist bad experience we have had. Cost Captain has not been a pleasure to work with. If we do not get our refund in a few days, I will take action with the Iowa Attorney General who does not play around. I will make them aware of this website so they can see that it is not just a one time occurrence.My wife and I have kindly been patience and they need to do the same and refund our money. "I order a couple of SSDs and paid for 2nd day delivery. It's been a week and no drives. Their online tracking doesn't like the order number from my confirmation. Customers service tells me that they cancelled one of the orders because they didn't have the drive in stock. the 2nd drive is scheduled to ship next week. So I pay for 2nd day shipping and the ship 2 weeks later."
"I should have read all the bad reviews before I do business with this phony company.I placed an order of 5x Fractal Design USB3.0 cases, because after shopping around their price was $15 less than other companies on the web. They emailed me 3 days later to notified me that the items are out of stock and there is no ETA on the stock to come in.and that it takes 2 to 10 business days to refund my money.I checked my credit card on line today, today is the 3rd day, its not credited to my account yet. i am in retail business, i know it doesnt take more than 48 hours to refund money to customer's credit card.I truly think that they are doing some sort of "cash flow" games with peoples money for 10 days.Don't buy from these people even you think their prices are unbeatable!!!"
"AVOID this company! This company will take your money for items that are months away from being in stock. The 5 star reviews on this site are by employees of the company not from real customers. If you look you will see many dissatisfied customers - stick with a reliable source like newegg where you will get what you pay for. I bought an item on the 18th, then sent me a phony shipped email to make it look like it was shipped and then when I disputed this and requested tracking information they claim it was a mistake and my item will not be in stock for another month. Now I have to fight with them to get my money back. You've been warned. This company is an all out scam."

I placed an order for a Otterbox protective case from this website and I was allowed to complete the entire checkout process and was charged for the item only to get an e-mail from the company advising the following: "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, however, the item you have ordered has gone out of stock and we have not received an ETA from the manufacturer as to when the rest of the stocks will arrive. We have cancelled your order and processed a refund" If they don't have the item in stock they should not allow me to purchase and be charged. Now I am having to wait "2-10 business days" for a refund before I can take my money elsewhere to purchase the case. The item is still on the website as being able to be purchased even after they know it is out of stock. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!"
"Ordered headphones for Dragon on 8.4 or earlier. Still have not received the headphones. However, they charged my card. CostCaptain sent an email saying that the order shipped on 8/18. Still have not received the headphones. I phoned today and was told that the headphones are on backorder and don't know when they will be in stock. Cancelled the order. The Rep was pleasant, but, the entire experience was very disorganized. Would never order from them again. "
