"I tried to order a Canon S40, and after their sales person said it was in stock, the person taking the order said it was on back order and wouldn't ship for over three weeks. Since I was just leaving the country for a couple weeks, I let the order stand. I called them back now a week after they said it would ship. Again the sales guy said it was in stock, but the person looking up my order said they didn't have any and probably wouldn't for 4 more weeks. I canceled right there, went to another vendor (Nice Electronics) who had an even cheaper price since that month had gone by, and got my camera shipped the next day. These guys at Choice One clearly won't sell to you unless you order extra accessories to give them a good profit. Terrible! Don't waste your time with these losers."
"After verifying on Sunday afternoon via the phone that the Olympus C730UZ that I wanted was in fact in stock, I placed an order on their website. I then received an e-mail stating that I had to confirm my order via their toll-free number after 24 hours. I immediately became suspicious as I had recently read about a bait-and-switch tactic used by certain resellers where they quote a very low price on the product and then pressure you into purchasing high-priced accessories during the confirmation phone call. I also noticed that unlike most of the other retailers I was considering, the product description made no mention that it was a retail boxed version with full 1-year U.S. warranty, which made me also believe I was possibly getting a gray-market item. So on Monday I called to verify the condition of the product I was buying, and after reassurances that it was in fact a new product with full U.S. warranty, I was placed on hold for the order confirmation process. Sure enough, the guy tried to sell me some high-priced extended warranty, which I declined. He then put me on hold again for a moment, came back and told me that the camera I wanted was backordered for 2-3 weeks, just like the scam I had read about said would happen! At this point I cancelled my order and fortunately they had not even gotten around to charging my credit card. All in all, I would recommend avoiding this place no matter how good the price may seem."
"Stay away from this seller no matter how good the price seems! The customer service guy is the rudest and least concerned rep I have ever experienced. I ordered a Fuji 3800 from their website on 10/31. The sales guy promised the camera in 3-5 business days. After 9 business days and no camera, I inquired and was told that the camera was "out of stock" and would be delivered in 3 weeks. Well, 3 weeks passed and guess what, no camera. I call again and am told "out of stock" and 4 more weeks. The rep didn't offer any reasons or alternate products to help me out with my situation. When I told the rep his company had poor customer service and that I would tell others how bad they are, he said "fine". They did not once email or call me about the situation. When you call, prepare to be on the phone at least 30 minutes. They take forever to answer your call and then will put you on hold. Needless to say, I cancelled the order."
"Won ebay auction Sept 4th, item supposedly shipped Sept 9th, money order cashed by seller Sept 10th,never received item. Seller blames problem on UPS. I have since then cancelled the order but after almost 3 months I have yet to get my money back. Seller has never initiated contact with me, they are the rudest bunch of people that I have talked to. Guess my only choice is to take them to small claims court and sue them. Maryland Attorney General Consumer Division has been in contact with Choice One and has found them to be at fault. Choice One says they will refund only half of the $472.10. They continue to blame the problem on UPS. I should get the full amount plus interest! It's now been 4 months since I placed my order.Their prices may be good, but if something goes wrong with the order, good luck!"
"I'd avoid this company. I purchase 5-10 items monthly online and haven't had an experience this poor yet. I placed my order on Friday Nov. 8. Figured the order wouldn't go through until Monday. Saw they were open on Sunday and called to check on my order. Plan to spend anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour on hold. And the same guy usually answers the phone. He told me to call back a few hours later. Called back. He said the sales manager was out. Called Monday morning and he said call back in a few hours. I cancelled the order and found it at buydig.com at the same price with 100% better service. I usually read a few bad reviews and think, "I doubt it could be that bad" Should have known though with just a few reviews and most of them being bad ones to avoid. So I suggest you find a better seller."
"I will never deal with them again.Be careful, they go under a couple of different names, and when you call, you can ask to speak to a supervisor, and you probably won't get one. I had two different people claim to be the owner of the company. I think one of them was probably the sales guy sitting next to the one I was talking to..."
"I tried to buy a canon a40 from them for my parents. Anyway, they were the cheapest company on pricewatch, so I ordered. i HAD to get this camera by the 15th for shipping purposes, so I got upgraded shipping. Anyway, after a couple days without ANY email saying my order had been shipped, I email them. No response. So I call. I am told the camera is out of stock. I ask them when it will be back in stock, and they inform me it's a gray market camera (they don't say this on the website), and that I can buy the retail version for $25 more. Needless to say, I cancelled my order."
"Won an auction on E-bay for Minolta Dimage 7i digital camera with extras. Auction closed on Thur afternoon and I paid with Paypal 10 minutes after end of auction. On friday I received e-mail with UPS tracking number. Received camera on wednesday. Everything was as listed on auction including full USA Minolta warranty. I was very pleased with the price and service and would deal with these people again."
"I ordered a C-2100 digital camera from this company and was pleasantly surprised to get it, not only at a super low price, but it was also shipped asap. Total time from order to delivery was only six days via UPS. The order was shipped without the instruction manual. I called Customer Service and they shipped one out asap. I highly recommend this company and will do business with again."
