They took my money and never sent me anything. I ordered 2 x3 chips and 1 DMS4 pro and havent received them 2 months later. I called left messages, joind their support chat, sent e-mails and spoke with EveloutionAuction on AIM (Owner of chipdealer) and they have done nothing. I also found out their shipping guy Whatnot on efnet is being charged with fraud (see below). They also sent me a nice reply to one of my e-mails letting them know I was not happy with their service. (See Below)

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS VENDOR. They are crooks that will not ship your purchase at all or send damaged/bad items. Their support is HORRIBLE. Took weeks to contact them. Its been a month and a half since I ordered and been in shipping status for the past 2 weeks. NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING. DO NOT trust the other posts saying this is a good vendor as they are probably from friends of these guys or themselves."
I order a X3 chip and Pro Switch from them on 12/13/04 because they promised they could deliver in time for Christmas. Well, it is 12/30/04 and I still have not received my order. Has been very hard to get in touch with them and they do not seem to be concerned with customer service.
Buyer beware!! There are other companies out there that have similar pricing that I have found give good customer service and are highly recommended....wish I would have seen those before I wasted time/money on chipdealer.com!"
"After 3 weeks of e-mail and phone tag, the best answer I can get from these guys is, "The X-box shipmentwill be here soon."
On December 15th I ordered a Pre-Modded X-Box. Later the same day I received a confirmation e-mail and one letting me know my X-Box is in packing. A week goes by, so I send an e-mail to see what's up. I find out they've had a bit of a holiday rush, so mine got bumped down to 'Building it". Now if you excuse me for a minute - if something is 'In Packing' already, wouldn't it be completed? There's a strong amount of dishonesty in this company, for not even was my order put down to 'Building", but got bumped down yet again to "Preorder" on Christmas Eve. It's January 5th and my order is still on 'Preorder' status. These vendors have no clue when they will receive a shipment of other X-boxes, and continue to ignore me in both e-mails and IRC.
I'm about to file a complaint with my bank and credit card company. These guys suck. Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra for good service at another reputable dealer."

"Order modded xbox from website. At that time the web site stated new units would be modified and shipped.When I received my unit it was a refurb or a pieced together machine. Cosmetically it had scratches all over the console. I didnt receive the skins I ordered either. Now when I go to their web site it no longer tells you these are new units. They are ripping people off and nothing you cann do about it. Went to pay pal to file a claim against them. At the time I filed the claim it was for not receiving the unit. So when I received the unit I canceled the claim. When I opened the box boy was I surprised It was a unit not in its orginal packaging and scratched to pieces. Some new unit.Now paypal says Im sorry but you canceled your claim.What happens when you have two claims on the same order? Their web site also states satisfaction gauranteed I bet that has been taken off also. These people are crooks! Stay Away"

I ordered an install for xbox on oct 10. and guess what it's nov 11 and i'm still waiting for it. been lied to by several people that work at chipdealer about the status of my order. I was kicked out of the chipdealer irc chat because I expressed my frustration with them. Go shop somewhere else for ur console needs. It's not worth the time and headache to constantly pester these guys to get an order finished and sent. I will never, ever shop at chipdealer again, nor refer anyone to such crappy customer service."
"First, it took a long time to receive my order. I ordered on the 28th of October and recieved on the 8th of November. I just received the X3 Mod chip and am thoroughly disappointed. I received a used one, since there are cut wires on the wire install adapter, there are burn marks on the D0 cable, and the backings on the external switch and the eject adapter were missing causing them to stick together. Not to mention that the pin header was missing. "
"Very poor customer service. Emails sent to sales@chipdealer.com went unanswered, posts on their support system went unanswered, inquiries on irc went unanswered. The only response I EVER got from them was when I emailed the paypal address, and that was only answered once.
Quality of product is less than satisfactory, they charge the full price for a brand new retail PS2 but sent a refurbished unit with all serial numbers and identification missing. Was loaded with an old firmware that required me to upgrade to recieve full advertised functionality.
Pricing was about average, maybe a few dollars cheaper but not worth all the hassle."
