"I just ordered a Ruger 22lr semi auto and CTD shipped it to AZ in 1 day!!

I couldn't believe it! They had the best price around, and I felt that the web site was easy to navigate.

You can't pick an FFL in the checkout process, but instead you are encouraged to e-mail or fax. I e-mailed them, and called late in the afternoon to verify. They actually answered the phone and must have had caller id, because it sounded like an intelligent human being, not the drones I normally speak to with the phone company or other online stores. I was told that yes, everything looked good, and I should be receiving an email shortly with the tracking number!

It arrived the NEXT day from Louisiana! I didn't expect that! I only paid the standard shipping $10.99! I'll definitely look to CTD next time.

I've done a number of purchases with another huge online retailer, and in order to get the best price I send them a check (to save 3%) I think the last order took 3 weeks. No kidding, and yes it was in stock. They just drug their feet...5 days to verify the check, then 14 days to ship it...Cheaper than dirt is SO much faster! Thanks CheaperthandirT!

Customer service sucks now, i ordered an item and did not get a tracking number i had to beg for a tracking number, when they send the tracking # the firearm was already delivered to ffl."

"They ship from multiple warehouses and charge douple shipping rates for one order. They claim that their customers are okay with it. I tried to place an order with them and the shipping charges were $12.00 dollars and I was ok with it but when I added 3 cleaning brushes to the order(The brushes cost less then $2.00 a piece and weighed 1 or 2 ounces) they wanted to add an extra $6.00 to the shipping charges so I didn't place the order and I am no longer a customer"

"I ordered a short barrel and some slugs for my Mossberg and they shipped on the same business day and arrived in just 2 days. I have dealt with other hunting/gun supply websites and Cheaper Than Dirt is by far the best."

"They have great pricing on blackhwak items. I also purchase 40sw & 45acp ammo and the pricing was pretty good. the only issue like others have mentioned is that, they ship from different warehouses. so, there is a shipping charge for each warehouse. when you add items to your cart, you are given the option( most of the time) to pick which warehouse you want it shipped from. There is a slight variation in pricing between the warehouses. i got the items within 3 days and they out the orders same day."

"Placed an order with CTD, order arrved in 2 pkges, very well packed, no issues with shipment, arrived w/in 4 business days. Items as described with no issues. Yes, shipping is $3+$10 per warehouse used. Just shipped from 1 warehouse and made order large enough to compensate. Still MUCH cheaper than even Wal-Mart. I will continue to order from CTD. I see no reason for negative reviews from this site."

"Buyer beware!!!! Cheaper than dirts customer service sucks!!! They ship your package to the worng address and make no effort to corect thier misstake!! My package is lost in no where land and i cant find it!!!"

"I have loved ordering from CTD.... up until recently.

They now have 3 different warehouses they ship from... Problem is that they don't carry the same stock in each warehouse. This makes it difficult/impossible to order more than a few things and get them all from 1 warehouse. It would be fine if they DIDN'T charge you $10 for EACH warehouse you receive an item from.. Guess I'm gonna have to shop elsewhere occasionally.... Bummer. "

"I have loved and purchased from CTD for 10 years now. My last two purchases however have lead to experiences that had me to the point of not being willing to purchase from them again.

I was preparing to express the details of my last two purchases, and the issues I had with them in this review. I was also going to speak to the fact that I had customer service issues (with the same rep) on both orders.

After several emails, I was finally angry enough that I called and asked for a supervisor. I was told I was being transferred to a specific supervisor but instead I was sent to Kevin the Manager.

After explaining with Kevin the situation, and sharing the emails I was sent by his team member, Kevin not only understood my issues but worked to correct it. He also will be working to correct an false perception the item gives on the website. In doing this, Kevin has convinced me to remain a CTD customer.

Because of Kevin's efforts I will also move my overall rating from 1 star as was originally planned to 4 stars, with the hopes he follows through with the correction, so they can return to 5 stars with me.."

"I recently ordered a tapco g2 trigger group with retainer plate from this company- and I triple friggin checked my order before placing it online. Later the order comes and it it minus the retainer plate. I check my order and it seems they removed the online ad listed and now try to sell the plate separately, and to top it off they raise the price on this item literally within a few days after placing the order.
So one they changed my order without even a call, email, or notification of altering my order.
Two, they did not even call me or email me to offer a refund.
And now after I call them to fax them my order reciept which clearly shows a retainer plate included in the product- they did not even decide to send it- as any normal business man would do- and now they are offering a refund after I called and emailed and faxed them my issue.
The shipping was also excessively high for this item- it is very small yet they charged me like 13 bucks just to ship.

I will never buy from these guys again. If I could give them 0 stars I would"

"Hi All,
I have made three separate orders over the course of 2 months. All have been executed flawlessly and shipping was surprisingly quick.

Their weekly specials are great and I like their selection of products. My only beef is that their shipping fees are sometimes pretty excessive compared to other online stores. This is generally offset by the fact they have the items in stock for close to the best online price you can find for accessories.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. The only thing stopping Cheaper Than Dirt from being my premier choice is the high cost of shipping on some orders."
